My Firefox browser recently automatically updated. Subsequent to the update, I could no longer upload photos and insert (in-line) them into the body of gmail emails. It would indicate that "There was an upload error" (see attached photo). The photos are all small JPGs about 300kb in size. This issue was not present in older versions of Firefox.

Troubleshooting and reading a bunch of articles indicated the problem was not with Google gmail, but instead a fault with the latest version of Firefox.

I then used both Microsoft Edge and Chrome browser, which allowed me to successfully insert inline photos, so it is clear the issues are with the latest version of Firefox.

Is there a work-around or patch I can download for Firefox to fix this, or, should I just quit using Firefox and instead use Micro-Edge or Chrome for emails?

Why I can't login to outlook.office.com (Microsoft 365) with passkeys when I use Firefox (newest 128) in Linux? It doesn't offer me to use passkeys to login when I go there.

I can login with passkeys in Firefox when I use Windows 11 or Google Chrome in Linux.

I am having two problems, both related to downloading files only on Firefox, these issues don't occur on other browsers when downloading the same files.

The first issue is that when downloading a file from Google Drive, the download always fails. It opens up a menu asking me where to save the file but the files name is "download" with no extension, when starting the download it will fail. In the images below you can see what it looks like. This happens with most files on Google Drive, usually those larger than 50MB (a VERY rough estimate). Both in the default tab and in the container tabs I use.

The second issue is very similar, when downloading a file, this time from anywhere on the web, when asking me where to save the file, the name of the download is a string of random letters and numbers with no extension. When starting the download it fails because the name is too long, after renaming it to something shorter it still fails. I don't really have any sites I can give as examples because this problem only occurs randomly.

For both problems I have tried attaching the correct filename and extension but it still fails.

After last upgrade Predict Wind stopped working properly, it did work fine before upgrade and works fine in Edge and Chrome. Some data can be shown in Predict Wind but the most important pages wind, waves, rain and current maps do not work.

What can I do? or What can you do ?

I'm clearing space on my hard disk. I discover FF has 2 profiles, both with default-release as part of their names. One was last modified today, and one last modified a few months ago. I've not knowingly done anything to create a profile in that period. Why have I got two, and can I delete the older one?

So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

I have a persistent problem. On websites that require me to use Google Authenticator or a proprietary app (my bank), Firefox requires me to authenticate whenever I start a new session.

Both bank and other websites say I should only have to authenticate once on a new device.

I have no problem staying logged in to other websites so I don't think it's a cookie issue.

The problem appears to only be on my Windows PC, I'm not being asked to reauthenticate in FF on my android phone.

Everything is latest version, problem has bee around for many months.

After following a link from a Google search to Facebook, my language on the Facebook login page was permanently changed to Polish. This only applies to this page and the language settings in Firefox are still correct. How do I change back?

I get the following message whenever I try to login on my PNC bank:

To protect your security secure.pnc.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it.

Can't import ".p12" certificate in Firefox in Fedora 40, it fail with the message "unknown error". I can open it with the built-in tools as well with the Gnome certificate manager. I did try as well a different certificate with the same result. Both I can import in Chromium, installed as Flatpak.
