I had to uninstall firefox due to an error. I kept receiving an xulrunner error when I tried to open Firefox. I researched this and found that uninstalling the app fixed the issue. However, I have lost all of my saved passwords. Is there any way I can get them back?

Hello, My saved passwords do not work on certain sites on my Windows 11 computer and my Android smartphone. I have repaired firefox,and created a new profile as advised by members of the French forum.i have also created a new account. On the computer only, I no longer have the subtitles on the skillshare site. When I go to pinterest and deezer, the page does not display normally. I can't see the images in the duckduckgo search either, because I've been redirected to a non-javascript site. I had ccleaner, it was suggested to me that the problem came from there but I uninstalled it before creating the new profile. I also have bit defender free on my devices. Thank you.

I'm trying to set up Firefox on a new Windows 11 laptop and having issues.

First, I installed a couple of Add-ons and set them up, I use one to have a Home Page, and another for zoom percentage. And I went into each one and set them up as I want them. But when I closed FF and reopened it, they were gone, as if I didn't install them at all. And all the changes I made to the top part of the browser - icons and overall look - reverted back to what FF is "out of the box."

Also, on my old laptop, I went into about:config and changed the ui.textScaleFactor because the default FF top part is too wide for me. But when I went into it on the new laptop, and changed the number, nothing happened. On the old one, when you enter a different number and hit enter, the change is made immediately.

Also, I did make FF my default browser on the new laptop, at least I think I did. I clicked the link to do that, and it brought me to a window with a bunch of confusing extensions. I changed them all to Firefox, including E-Mail, and I don't even want FF being the default for E-mail. And I did click the check on top and clicked "Make FF the default browser." But when I open FF, I keep getting asked if I want to make FF my default browser and to pin it to the task bar. But it already is!

I should point out, that it's possible I downloaded FF twice, and may have installed it twice. But when I go to Install/uninstall files, just one is listed. And I only have one FF icon on my desktop.

So what is going on?

At first I thought it was Facebooks issue but when I shared using Edge or Opera browser the share dialog DOES have a share button at the bottom of the share pop up dialog. Using Firefox, for what ever reason, it's cut off at the bottom so I have no way to share and have to copy the link and walk it over to Facebook or wherever to share anything. I tried a 2022 sourced help answer result content but it was broken, and that seemed to be the most recent gainful help response connected to my issue, another variant from elsewhere did not work at all, it was probably older still, so I need working code for the most recent version of Firefox Browser, or however recent enough to not so conflict. Much Appreciated.

I am on FF 129.0.1 on Windows 10 laptop. I download financial data from several sources using the .qfx format which is fed into personal finance software (Moneydance). Everything works well and download history shows all downloads from banks, but does not include downloads from my brokerage. Is this something the brokerage is doing or some setting that I can control. Thanks for any help in explaining this.

I'm having a difficult time logging in. I probably need to get started all over again. I locked my self out by too many attempts to log in. I'm totally lost and probably need to start the process all over again.

I've always been able to type a new web address directly into my browser bar. Firefox no longer allows me to do that. It reverts back to the original address, even when opening a new tab to start over. I also can no longer type into the Google search box. It tries to take me to the browser bar instead, and then I can't go anywhere. Help please!

2 DAYS AGO I got an XUL error notice in my UP TO DATE Firefox. Tried turning on or off at times hours apart no use.

Getting by with other browsers in the meantime. But today At about 1:40 PM CDLST 15 August 2024

my computer locked up completely. Several dialog boxes stacked up and mouse and keyboard were ineffective it gave a virus name which I did not write down and a purported Microsoft number to call but I ignored it. Turned off my computer turned on and ran scan with Malwarebytes software NO INDICATION OF INCIDENT

The help page advice for XUL does not have the assurance NOTED AT BOTTOM.

IS THE FOLLOWING TRUE FOR ALL REMEDIES INVOLVING UNINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING FIREFOX? INCLUDING XUL ERRORS?

ASSURANCE The solution is to remove the Firefox program and then reinstall Firefox. (This will not remove your passwords, bookmarks or other user data and settings which are stored in a separate profiles folder.)

Lately I have been having low memory warnings, but still have some things I can dump to make room.

I have spent several hours trying to troubleshoot Firefox slowing my CPU/mouse cursor but have found no solution. I have only three tabs open and Firefox is taking nearly a GIGABYTE OF MEMORY! This is ridiculous and totally inefficient.

I made Firefox my main browser for faster loading times, which are faster, but then it trashes my efficiency by making my mouse cursor jump all over the place, lag, etc. I have 32gb of memory and a decently fast Ryzen CPU from only a few years ago. Gaming rig.

It makes no sense that Firefox slows down my Windows experience.

Please fix! I should not have to go through a bunch of troubleshooting actions to make Firefox not slow my PC down. I have seen many users complaining of the same issue.

Please fix.

hello Since the 129.01 update yesterday 14-08-24, internet access for the desktop died completely. I used Microsoft Edge (don't ask what release) as a back up browser, that failed citing a DNS error.

Not knowing what to do I found a really old version of Firefox and installed that.

Things are coming back to life but I need to install v129.00 because that worked.

I had to use another computer (laptop win11) for access.

Need help so I can cancel the order for the new desktop.
