Today while using the email got message to compact folder so i did and left it, after 30 min came back with a message that TB crashed, reopened it and found that i can see the emails subject but they don't open. Searched the form and tried the repair option but after it finished it deleted all the emails from 2018 till now and i can see the emails of 2017 only (the first year of usage) -i tried deleting the .msd file but didn't help

-Created new profile and copied the inbox folder to it but still can see old emails only.

-- i sent a test email from my mobile to my email and it received it but the emails on the server that was downloaded before the crash are not downloaded again - i did search on email address that iam sure that we communicated recently only and i could see all the emails in the search but when i try to open it its empty

Hi, I have a iMac with os Sonoma 14.6 and Thunderbird 128.1.0esr. I try to sign emails with s/mime digital certificates, but i cant. I have a personal digital certificate that i use on my mozilla firefox without any issue to login, sign docs and everything, but on thunderbird i cant sign or encrypted a message. The reason is that when i try to install certificates, it just dont put in on people tab, on Certificate Manager, but on Your Certificates. I try with .p12 format and with .cer format. When i try to import on Your certificates tab, i click import and it just select p12 certificates. If i choose cer dont work. And it import certificates just right. But it doesnt let me choose these certificate to sign emails or encrypt ( account settings - end-to-end-encryption - S/MIME area saying Personal Certificate for Digital Signing with Select.. buton and Personal Certificate for encryption. I just import certificates, it put on your certificates, dont leave me put any on personal. Then i click on Select to assign certificate to sign and says Certificate Manager can´t locate a valid certificate that can be used to digitally sign your messages with an address of . I check that the email address is the same of digital certificate, when i ask autorithy to give me certificate, that certificate, can be used and is associated with the email address i try to sign. But it dont work. Any help?

I suppose the best place to start is when/where I think this problem started. Approx three to four weeks ago my thunderbird program stopped downloading emails from my server (Spectrum/RR). I say Approx because the problem sort of sneaked up on me without me realizing it was there.

I was using W7 and my hard drive was pretty much full and I was constantly getting messages that my email could not be downloaded due to lack of space. I started deleting stored emails and emptying the trash, which sort of kept me up and running for the past couple weeks. All this time my Gmail account continued to work as it should, downloading every email that was sent to me, but the Spectrum/RR account was spotty at best.

So today I fired up a new W11 computer for the first time. One of the first programs I installed was Thunderbird. When I attempted to set up an account using Spectrum/RR the process failed. I typed in all of the correct information, Name, Email, and Password but the account will not finalize. Instead, I continue to get the same message that the Configuration, Username or Password is incorrect.

I have since successfully logged into my Spectrum/RR web mail, so I know the username and password I am using is correct. I have also talked with Spectrum Technical support, and they have verified that what I am using to log in is correct.

I hope I didn't ramble on to much and someone can help me !

I needed to migrate my account to another laptop and i was advised to use the the following method: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer.

However, all the emails dated prior to the move, come up blank now, only the headers can be seen.

Server type is POP

I cannot download them from webmail as for majority the previous server was IMAP which is no longer connected.

I have searched the internet and found this Mozilla support page, which seems to describe my problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202

However, I am unable to complete the solution offered, as Thunderbird (version 128.1.0esr (32-bit)) does not have the 'OAuth2' as an Authentication option for the Outgoing Server (SMTP) settings, as described on the support page...?

Strangely, I can't figure out how to add to someone else's post if it doesn't already have replies so I'm having to start my own thread. Anyway...

Thunderbird on my system is 32-bit on 32-bit Windows and a day or two ago it updated itself to version 115.10.1. Since then it's been slow at sending emails, receiving emails, applying filters and pretty much everything else. Is this being worked on? I saw a couple of similar reports from other people here but like I said, I can't add a reply to them.

And if it's not known about or being worked on, is there some way I can roll back an update?

Hello, i have a problem to set up my A-Mail-Account (yahoo.de). I can fill the necessary fields (name, E-Mail, Password) and can choose imap-protocol. When i click on "done" a new window ist open. There i can fill the e-mail and password in the fields, then is shown "i prove if you are a robot". This will don't stop over a few of hours. Nothing goes on. I can only close this window. a screenshot shows the last status.

From what I can tell, there is no way to print the contents of a single calendar event. Calendar events may have important information in the event details, like program agenda or travel directions. Being able to print an event is really rudimentary...a person wouldn't really even think that it cannot be done. So, the work around is to use the Windows program Snip and Sketch to take a picture of the entire event and then print that. Just unbelievable at this stage of Thunderbird's development. Not being able to do print an event is kind of like a word processing program excluding the letter 'x' because it isn't used much. Seriously.

The message includes a box fro you that says "Learn More" and "Not Junk". This also grays out my ability to put it in the junk folder. Because of this, I keep getting more emails from them. How do I make it so I don't receive any more of their emails into my Inbox?

I am writing to seek your urgent assistance regarding a critical issue I encountered today with my Thunderbird email client. I have been using Thunderbird since at least 2016, and today, I noticed that all my emails from mid-July 2023 until today's noon have disappeared from my Inbox folder from one moment to the other. Archive and trash are empty.

These emails are crucial for my ongoing work and communications. I am hoping you can guide me on how to recover these missing emails.

Additionally, please advise if there is a possibility to re-import them from my Gmail account, as this is my primary email provider.

Your prompt response and assistance in resolving this matter will be greatly appreciated.
