I am noticing this for months if not years. Automatic update never works, first it claims that FF restart is required to install the update but when invoked FF never restarts automatically. Alternatively if FF is closed without invoking restart subsequent manual launch never starts the browser. Only the second manual launch opens the browser window which takes a small portion of the upper left corner of the screen and there's no Maximize button - instead the button is Restore and upon clicking the small window moves beyond the upper right corner of the screen putting the maximize button out of reach. So I have to somehow grab the title bar and move it to the view so I can finally maximize the window - very annoying. Upon checking the FF version remains the same, no update occurred. Invoking another update results in endless notification Updating FF. At some point there's a notification that I have to update FF manually by downloading an installer etc. This goes on and on over and over. Could this mean my FF is hijacked?

Hello, whenever I try to type into a text box the "manage passwords box" appears, which is fine with me, but with this website...there is a drop down menu, which then makes the password box completely cover it, and I've been trying to find a work around, but nothing work, I want to save my passwords, the feature is great, the password box is fine with me in other websites, is there like a button to press to remove the password autofill box when I don't need it, or simply just remove the autofill suggestions, because the fact it keeps covering the drop down menu is becoming annoying.

I've read through lots of instructions, and tried to list a site as an exception to the ad blocker, but it doesn't seem to work. The site that I want to be able to contact me is Rakuten.com. Please help. This seems so complicated.

I created a Password Generator add-on two days ago. Interestingly, it was approved, but when I added it to my Firefox extensions list, it’s not working. However, it works perfectly fine locally when I use it directly from my files. Could you help me understand what the issue might be? If there was an error or something wrong, why did it get approved?

downloading only produces " .part " files in my downloads directory. I had previously attempted a large file download but error message said it was not completed. Now cannot download anything

After several recent Firefox updates, I can no longer login to my credit card's account page. As a result, I am now using Microsoft Edge Version 127.0.2651.86.

I have attached the screenshot of the FF problem on my Windows 10 64bit laptop comp. As you can see, the login section is blocked, with a message "Firefox Can't Open This Page".

Helping a friend who is using Firefox without having a Mozilla profile/account who is upgrading to a new PC. - Is there a way to export her passwords to a file and restore to the new PC? Going from Win 7 to Win 11. - Otherwise, can she just create a Mozilla account on her old PC and turn Sync on to transfer to the new PC? I am assuming all her settings will be retained. I tried changing my color contrast settings to "never" BUT STILL, this thing still has a solid color. i'm making a web page, i tried using neocities, strawpages rn and also i visited other sites and they keep getting the same solid color problem, im tired. you can see how when im editing my site it has a anime girl background but then when i visit my page itself i dont see anything, i know eveyone can see it but im the creator and it really bothers me.

Can't play disney+. prime video, crunchyroll or movies on youtube. I CAN play netflix. Play DRM settings is turned on and widevine shows up on plugins. I tried turning off enhanced tracking protection/ ublock/ private badger. Tried deleting user agent/ deleting firefox folder from appdata roaming and local. I am on version 129.0.1 .

as the title states we recently had to upgrade the FF versions our clients are using because of a code update that required latest version of FF. the problem now is that PDF printing is having problems when action is set to "open in firefox" it's not able to print completely the PDF. But if we change the action to "use windows default application" it works fine.

What is the technical explanation for this? We're happy to just set the FF preferences to "use windows default application" but we'll need to tell them why that is.

I just looked at the data removals in progress and it appears that you are removing information that is actually not related to me. Family members are listed and they are not my family members. I don't know what other errors the system is making.

Firefox now asks for primary password every time it starts even if it is not needed to access a site with a saved password. Removing and resetting primary password does not fix the problem.

In the Privacy & Security pane we have the following configuration

Clear history when Firefox closes with all items selected except for Site Settings. Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed with some exceptions in Manage Exceptions.

But after quitting and re-launching Firefox there frequently entries for random websites shown in the "Manage Data..." pane.

This seems to related to having Facebook Container and Firefox Multi-Account Containers extensions installed. It does not seem to happen when they are not present. Interestingly. we had been using a a very similar Firefox configuration on a legacy Intel macOS system without this issue. We began seeing it while setting-up a fresh installation of Firefox on a new Apple Silicon system with macOS Ventura. The issue was reproduced in a new profile. It continues to the present day with up the current version of Firefox 129.01 on macOS 14.6.1 I feel like this is probably a bug but I don't have the necessary skill to make an effective bug report.

A few years ago jscher2000 gave me wonderful instructions for how to create some of the features that were once easy for ordinary users like myself to control through an Extension called TabMixPlus. Apparently there was some big disagreement between the developer and Firefox and they completely disabled it. At any rate, I'm continually frustrated when I accidentally move a pinned tab to a new window while trying to move or resize Firefox. I would like to know how, in about:config, I can create a setting with which I can protect pinned tabs. Thanks.

This has been happening for months. I am unable to access my twitter/X account. I am also unable to share anything, as well.

I belong to My Points. Each day they have different things that you can click on to open. Recently I haven't been able to open any of them. I'm wondering if Firefox is blocking something.
