I've been using Firefox since the very beginning, and try to contribute to support it and Thunderbird when I can. But today, in order to get messages from my health care provider at Kaiser Permanente -- kp.org -- and get a document I needed for physical therapy, I had to sign in via Microsoft Edge in order to log in to my member account. On my Windows 11 Pro computer, I kept getting the message shown in the attached screenshot = "this page isn't redirecting properly".

I WAS able to sign in to kp.org from my mobile phone, but couldn't download the document from there. But at least I was able to send an message to my doctor asking them to send me the document via snail-mail.

At first I thought the problem was the Kaiser web site (which admittedly is pretty gawdawful). Didn't have time to pursue it last week, because I was attending an all-day class Mon-Fri. Finally today, when I got the same Firefox error message, I tried to access kp.org via Microsoft Edge. Sure enough, it worked.

Then I searched Mozilla support, and found a closed message thread indicating that the problem had theoretically been "solved" by some sort of programming fix as of June 12th or thereabouts.

I do NOT want to switch to a browser maintained by Monopolists'R'Us. I still bear a grudge because about 30 years ago they killed or marginalized two of my favorite programs (Lotus and WordPerfect) by giving away Excel and Word for free with Windows. Even if I LIKED Microsoft, the default user interface is cluttered with too many cutesy-poo widgets and AS (artificial stupidity) "help" that I do not want. But I'm an old lady (84), and if I need to communicate with my health care providers, I will have to use whatever method works, no matter how much it galls me.

Hope you guys can find a fix to this problem that works for EVERYBODY (including me). Thanks for your attention.

I'd like to use my NAS download application to handle magnet links. How can I do that with Firefox?

For mailto: links, you can specify web apps like GMail, same for e.g. IRC. However, for magnet: links, this is not possible, only local applications are supported. I even got an error message by the web application offering to configure this, saying the browser didn't support configuring this protocol.

After years, I changed my default browser to Firefox instead of Safari. However, in spite of my careful searching and attempts to solve my problem(s) with preferences and reading help FAQs, I am unable to resolve the main issues. I am unable to go to LinkedIn, either my own page or anything else in Firefox. It goes to the page and remains stuck trying to log in. I can copy the url address and paste it into my Safari browser bar and all proceeds as it should ad I get logged in, etc. There is also an issue with my NYT digital account. Sometimes Firefox acts normally, signing me in and allowing me to read articles and so forth. But often, capriciously I would say since it makes no sense at all it will arrive at the lage and for an instant I'll see the article, or video, and then the page will go blank. Reloading produces the same result and I am unable in Firefox to see the content. If I go to the content on Safari, all is fine. I am seriously considering returning to Safari as my default browser. What is going on here? Thank you.

Dear Support. My Mac audio settings are set to output to channel 11 - 12 of my multi-track audio interface. However, Firefox's audio output only shows up on channel 1 -2. Can you help?

Hi, I can't open my gmail or youtube in Firefox. I run Norton Security and recently signed up to their 'clean up' software, I think this may have removed google cookies? I can access mt email by installing Chrome but I don't want it on my pc. Help!

For about a couple of weeks, there has been a lot of delay between what I type and when it actually appears. It's maddening! I have not changed any of my Firefox settings. I did a 'refresh' about an hour ago. I am not seeing any network activity that I cannot recognize. I d/l'd 'Malwarebytes' and ran it..."no threats". MS Defender has always been on & protecting me. I have never had this situation occur before and am hoping for some help (5 to 10 seconds to wait for what you've keyed in is not fun).

I'm using FF v. 127.02 and would like to delete recent bookmarks that show up under bookmarks/search. I would like to disable this feature.

It seems to be a very bad idea for privacy oriented browsers like FF. to store such info. Anyone including the kids can use my computer and see my search history. Several folks have tried various fixes without success.

Sync just does NOT work. I installed FF on my Mac brand new and fresh... brand new machine. Signed into Sync. NOTHING. After 6-7 HOURS... nothing. It just gets NOTHING AT ALL from my Windows Desktop.

I've signed out of ALL Firefox/Mozilla sync sessions... signed in clean- all browsers are up to date. And the about:sync-log page shows a LONG streak of errors... NON STOP ERRORS.

Why?! Why can't we just sync extensions to install and bookmarks across machines? How is this that hard for Mozilla?!

Day after day and attempt after attempt of failures for a basic function of the browser.

Here is the text of the latest log and showing constant connection errors- mind you NOTHING is breaking on my internet as I'm often streaming things and watching stuff while surfing, or others in the house are. Our connection, and Firefox getting online, are all working fine. I am at a loss. I don't understand how this is so terribly broken out of the box that you can't just sign in and let it talk to their servers. I know Google has billions behind Chrome, but this shouldn't be so 1990's bad by comparison to Chrome sync.

I am using Firefox 127 on Ubuntu.

When I press the Control key, I often lose focus in the window I am currently viewing. This is annoying as it prevents me from copy-pasting for example.

Sometimes the focus is back when I release Control, sometimes it is lost and I have to click again on the text field. It does not happen on all websites, for example support.mozilla.org works well, but it happens on duckduckgo or overleaf.

It does not seem to be the same as existing issues such as [the "show mouse when press Ctrl" of Ubuntu] (it is disabled) or an addon (the problem still happens in safe mode).

In case it is useful, when I press Control the tab bar background goes slightly darker, see attached images.

When playing any Ren'Py web build on Firefox Windows, the frames freeze while entering inputs. Depending on what is being displayed on screen, sometimes it will still continue despite the mouse movement, but most things just completely freeze up. Once the inputs stop, the frames will skip ahead to where they should be. This only seems to happen on Windows, as I was told it is not repeatable on Ubuntu using Firefox. This is also not an issue on Chromium based browsers.

Firefox stopped launching from the desktop. After reinstalling the new 127 both once with the 64bit, windows 10, English. The with the 32 bit version as well with the same configurations.

The problem is that the browser will not launch from the install finish window or the short cut icon. I can start Firefox from the Search window > Firefox > run as administrator. Firefox will start up but will not google search and the settings button will not function. I have installed Google Chrome and am sending this message through them. I don't want to use Google for all the reason for privacy that you already know. HOW can I get Firefox back ? Thank you for any and all help you can offer. My Best Regards, Doc'

For over a month now i have a problem with youtube. It loads videos very badly. I have good connection speed, but 0 network activity and 0 buffer health in Stats For Nerds on youtube and videos dont load. I can wait for 10-15 minutes (but sometimes they load almost instantly) before video load 40 sec buffer and after that buffer ends i can wait for another 10 minutes befor it load buffer again.

This problem persist only in my firefox on my computer. I tried deleting all the extensions, reinstalling firefox, "refresh firefox" future, changing useragent, reinstalling windows (it was the time anyways) but it doesnt solve the problem. I dont have this problem in other browsers (edge, librewolf, chrome) on my computer.

Recently I've notice a large amount of advertisements popping in most of the sites I visit on the Internet. This is particularly frustrating for sites where I pay to be a member, like the Ney York Times. I'm not sure there is any function in Foxfire to help me with this problem, but if there is I'd like to know about it and how to use it. Thank you.

Hello! A tech rebooted my computer and all files were saved, but this person failed to do a backup of my browsers. I don't think I was logged in to any session in Firefox, but my bookmarks and passwords were saved.

Is there any way I can recover that information? I already tried and there seems to be no other sessions than the current one saved.

Hi all, I need to solve a problem that is a bit annoying. I am on ubuntu 22.04 and using SNAP Firefox 127.0 (64-bit).

When I am prompted to select a file, for example to upload an image, the file picker is shown. However the thumbnails are so small(and right now I only see the image name) that I cannot see what's the content of the image. I managed to show a preview on the right of the single selected image by modifying an option in about:config. However it is still a pain to find the image I am searching for when I have a long list of images. Is there any way to enable zoom on the list of thumbnails so that I can preview the contents of the images? I don't understand why there is no option to customize the display of the file list. In the attached image I show how it looks right now.

Notifications/New emails not popping up on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.

I've tried everything including checking Focus Do not disturb is off, all settings in Firefox and Outlook are turned on to recieve notofictions but still nothing.

I'm on a new Mac Studio, but also found that it had started to not show notifications on the older iMac.

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. Is there a keyboard shortcut to remove cookies from the website? I mean the page I am currently on. And if there is no such shortcut, can I somehow create one myself?
