I don't understand where some bookmarks are when using iOS.

For new bookmarks, I see a row of "Recently Saved" pages on the home page. But I can't find a "Recently Saved" folder in the bookmarks menu.

When I sync with MacOS I see the new bookmarks in a new folder "Mobile Bookmarks". But I can't find a "Mobile Bookmarks" folder on iOS.

Finally, on iOS, I don't see how to access the bookmarks I added to the Bookmarks Menu in MacOS.

When I use 'Manage Bookmarks' and the Library to delete bookmarks and bookmark folders in addition to cleaning up duplicate bookmarks, the deleted folders and bookmarks automatically reappear in my Bookmark sidebar 1-2 hours later.

Initially, I had sync on but did not have Bookmarks checked for syncing. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared. Then I turned off sync for this browser / machine. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared.

I tried to see if there was a setting that enabled automatic restores of bookmark backups - but could not find one to turn off. I have tried refreshing the installation and starting again - using a one-time sync from another machine - but continue to be unable to permanently delete old / obsolete / duplicate bookmarks and folders.

I've also tried 2 Bookmark clean-up extensions. While I am able to delete duplicates and empty folders using these tools, 1-2 hours later they are back in the Bookmark sidebar.

Is there anyway to prevent the automatic restoration of the Bookmark Library?

I have two problems:

1. After importing bookmarks from html file i can not see them under search bar. only i can see them when clicking on Show your bookmarks /Ctrl+Shift+O/. Bookmark toolbar is checked into Always show Where is the problem?

2. Blank shortcuts of some websites, i tried to fix it with all methods but failed like: Deleting the IconCache.db file then restart windows explorer Command prompt sfc /scannow Command prompt dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth Disable tablet mode and Widgets

For some reason, Mozilla is showing me different folders in the "new bookmark" dialog than it is when I go into my actual bookmarks. I added a new subfolder through the "new bookmark" dialog, but it isn't showing up when I open my bookmarks menu. I then tried adding a subfolder in the bookmarks menu to see if it worked the other way around, but that folder isn't showing up in the "new bookmark" dialog either. Ideas? Suggestions? I'm a relatively new Firefox user, and this is really frustrating me!

Hi, thank you for being there. I have a strange problem that started a while ago. Every time I restart the computer to refresh it, all my bookmarks and log-ins change. It seems as if they are set back to an old version, but I can't even remember ever having a setting like this. A lot of bookmarks folder are gone all together and others only have a few bookmarks left in them. I suddenly have to enter passwords to get into my email accounts. Even stranger, after a while it all goes back to my current setting without me changing anything. This can take days or weeks. All this makes me nervous about restarting my computer. Please understand that I am not a computer wiz, so if you send me complicated instructions on how to fix this, I probably won't understand them. I hope there is a simple explanation for this. As of today 5/20/2024 Firefox stopped saving bookmarks. The star turns blue to indicate the bookmark was saved, but when I check the folder in Bookmarks it's not there.

Firefox is my GoTo browser. I appreciate that it is open source and respects privacy and security.

Right now I am struggling with release 126.0 on a Lenovo tablet running Android 13. My issue is the use and access to bookmarks. Unlike previous versions of Firefox there seems to be no way to get a bookmarks toolbar. That was a helpful feature in previous versions. And favorites are not as clean. My hope is that Mozilla will return to a bookmark toolbar.

I am travelling. I used a public wi-fi and norton VPN most recently. All my bookmarks are missing, altho they did appear on the toolbar briefly in the background. So where do I find them to restore them to the toolbar?

i like firefox on my cell phone as well as on my pc, but i encounter a problem on my tablet. The screen is big enough that I could display my bookmarks bar permanently (as well as tabs). if I want to look up several things quickly, which would certainly be possible with my tablet with keyboard and mouse, I can't even do that because I can't open the bookmarks that quickly.

however, i can understand that this is not permanently implemented, but i would like to have a customization option via on/off in the settings and while we are on the subject, an option to switch tabs on/off like on the desktop like the page marker permanently on desktop mode would be really nice.

of course it could be that these options already exist, then it would be that i am too stupid to find them because i really couldn't imagine that they don't exist and have already rummaged through all the options.

Recently, when I type in the URL bar, there is only 1 suggestion from my bookmarks. Before, there were several bookmarks that show.

I want the previous behavior back so that I only need to type a few characters and then choose one of the suggested bookmarks in the list of results. Now, I need to keep typing a lot more characters/words before the 1 bookmark I want shows up. Sometimes I can’t recall enough of the full URL so the bookmark I want never shows up.

This is a big downgrade in the user experience. Is there a setting to go back to the previous behavior?
