Starting about 8/12/24 (2 days ago) I ran Malwarebytes. Now my Thunderbird is not capturing most of my yahoo mail. I still get some emails, but no emails sent out to large groups (that include me).

How can I troubleshoot this? How can I fix this?

For the past couple of months, every time I boot up my computer and launch Thunderbird I get the attached error messages for each of my email accounts (2 Hotmail and one Outlook)

Repeatedly clicking "retry" often results in success but sometimes I get the second message indicating the server has disconnected. Usually, after a few minutes things settle down, the messages come through and all is well but it is a nuisance. I would switch to using Outlook but it cannot send multiple emails which I periodically need to do and I don't want to encourage Microsoft's near monopoly of computer technology.

I have tried accepting coookies as advised elsewhere in here and tried turning on O Oath as my authentication method but this just got me another error message saying this authentication "was not supported on this platform" (whatever that means??) Anyway, I reverted to using "simple password" which does eventually work.

I looked at 2 factor authentication but that proved to be impossible to understand and, in any case, I rarely carry a 'phone with me and do not want to clutter my 'phone up with more apps. I use 2 factor authentication on a lot of my confidential accounts and none of these were as complicated to set up as this one and certainly did not invole scanning QR codes and installing special apps.

Will this bug be fixed by more updates to Thunderbird or is there some other way of solving this problem.

Hello. My Thunderbird has been slow to pen,lagging while in it,and when clicking on messages,they do not show,and have to close it by right clicking the icon several times then waiting for it to close,then when reopening it,it says it is processing,and still open,and a box appears with an option to close the program so it can open again.I have done nothing to cause this.I have many important emails etc,and i cant uninstall the program,so i installed OE Classic,and was able to import settings from Thunderbird to it,and luckily i was able to export Thunderbirds setting to a 2.1 gn file that was the file i used to import to OE Classic,but OE Classic waits,and authenticates,and then i get a big error message,and here is the screenshot. I guess i,l try outlook express if its still any good for email(have heard /read otherwise) By the way i tried right clicking on the thunderbird shortsut,and selecting run as admin,and make it run in compatibility mode for win7,and thunderbird was fast for a day or two,but now its back to quicksand. I use Private Browsing to read a newspaper, not behind a paywall, for the main reason it hides all the adds. But just this last few weeks I keep getting the message "Please allow ads on out site" more and more not a great problem I just refresh the page and like magic gone. I like to open each story in a new tab so when I have read the paper I can have a whole lot of tabs all with just one story so after I read the story I close the tab and still have the paper opened where I left off for quicker navigation in its original tab. I do not have an Ad Blocked running in Private Browsing mode but as you can see the site thinks I am. Is there anything that can prevent this from happening? see attached.

I wanted to disable the prefetching/preloaad pages and i found some entries on about:config that i had to change. Some of those are here on the official support site and some not, i found them on another forum. Here's the list

network.prefetch-next (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS (false)

network.http.speculative-parallel-limit (0)

browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled (false)

So, my questions are:

1.  All these expect one "browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled" are available on android (nightly). Is there and i can't find it or it's indeed not available ??

2.   Is the "network.http.speculative-parallel-limit" works only for http or it works and for https as well ?? Is there some setting to geti it to work for https if it doesn't ??

3.   Is true that the "network.dns.disablePrefetch" and/or "network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS" doesn't work (if i disable it) if i have turned on the dns over https ??

4.   Are there other settings that i need to configurate or i'm good with these ??

I went to Ugsound.com accidently while using Firefox on my Imac. The Firefox warning came up immediately and I left the site. Did Firefox protect me from malicious virus or was it too late? I was on the site for maybe 7-8 seconds.

Pour exemple, lorsque Mozilla installe une mise à jour automatique, nos différents comptes, sur Gmail ou le site "Le Bon Coin", se bloquent et m'alertent d'un problème de sécurité. Pour certains comptes cela devient catastrophiques, car nous avons dans la famille, 2 téléphones qui ne captent pas dans la maison et nous sommes obligés de sortir de notre domicile pour obtenir le code (c'est chouette en hiver lorsqu'il fait froid et qu'il pleut; désolé d'habiter à la campagne!!). Ces problèmes n'existaient pas deux ou trois ans en arrière. Depuis je n'ai trouvé aucune solution! Je souhaitais surtout être sûr que ces problèmes émanaient du petit Renard; 15 ans que j'utilise Mozilla. Ces problèmes récurrents sont problématiques pour toute la famille, puisque mes parents rencontrent exactement les mêmes problèmes. Merci de nous venir en aide. Cordialement.

Incoming emails go to my "all mail" folder instead of to my "Inbox" on top. When I try to erase any emails, a line goes thru the email, but it does not go to "trash" as they used to. Nothing seems to get them to "trash"; my system is clogged with huge #s of deleted emails; driving me nuts!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!
