I had my email address installed for many years. Recently it could no longer download messages into Thunderbird. I got an error message. I removed the email address and tried to reinstall it. I keep getting "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." (All are correct) I am able to log into the web page and see my emails but I can't download them into Thunderbird like I use to do for several decades. HELP It is a Yahoo email address but is @bellsouth.net Please respond to ronseg@gmail.com. Thanks

When Thunderbird downloads messages from my three email accounts into the Unified Inbox, the total number of messages that show in the red dot in the taskbar is just the number of new messages in my primary email account. This means that as new ones come into other accounts they never register in the taskbar. Is this a bug, or do I have something set up incorrectly?

Stejne tak kdyz chci odesilat s elektronickym podpisem. Nejde to. Mam nastaveny platny kvalifikovany certifikat pro spravny mail ale nemohu odesilat ani elektronicky podepsane ani sifrovane. Zkousel jsem to i na jinem PC, v jinem uctu windows ale problem je porad vsude stejny. Ostatni klienti nemaji problem ani pri odesilani.

Hi, Thunderbird tells me that the signature is not valid for all messages that are electronically signed, but this is an error. In other clients (Outlook, EMclient) the signature is displayed as valid. The same when I want to send with an electronic signature. It doesn't work. I have set up a valid qualified certificate for the correct mail, but I cannot send either electronically signed or encrypted. I have tried it on another PC, in another windows account but the problem is still the same everywhere. Other clients have no problem even when sending.

I am writing to inquire about a feature in Thunderbird that I have not been able to set up successfully. I need a way to automatically track sent emails that have not yet received a reply. My goal is to have a folder that dynamically contains all my sent messages that haven't received any response. Once a reply is received, the message should automatically disappear from this folder.
Here is a more detailed description of what I am trying to achieve:
Sent emails are automatically copied to a specific folder. This folder should only contain sent messages that have not yet been replied to. Once a reply to a sent message is received, the original sent message should automatically be removed from the folder. I have tried using the saved searches feature, but it does not fully meet my needs as it does not dynamically update based on replies received.
Is there a way to accomplish this with the current version of Thunderbird, or is there a plugin or extension that you can recommend to achieve this functionality? If this feature is not currently available, I would like to request its consideration for future updates.

For example, if an individual has both a home and work address with the work address as the default, how can a list which needs the home address be forced to retain the home address rather than reverting to the default work address when the list is saved?

I have tried following instructions in "Did your ability to receive mail suddenly stop? Was it working before?" I had to use my employee account (I am retired) to receive the code to sign in to this site. My personal Thunderbird account is nanwoo@comcast.net, but since I can't login to that account, I couldn't receive the code there. When I closed and and reopened Thunderbird, the whole imap://imap.comcast.net account disappeared. It now has reappeared, but I don't know if I need to change my password to my new Comcast password (they made me do it). If so, how do I do that? Right now, the password is the one I've been using on my Thunderbird account.
I am old and confused. I am not a programmer. This is very stressful and time consuming. You can't email me when someone answers this question, because I can't login to my email!

I have been on the phone or on screen with ATT most of my waking hours since Sunday. (In the process I lost my internet, my landline, my cell connection, etc.) Everything is restored except the connection between Thunderbird and ATT. Everyone thinks changing my password will do it. Done it four times. It gets me into the ATT mail. I have replaced the password in Thunderbird settings with it to no avail. Is there anything you can think of? Not only is Thunderbird more attractive than ATT, I have thirty years of mail boxes there, a continuation from Eudora. I will appreciate your wisdom.

Hello, I cannot login to IMAP server on my Thunderbird mailbox - each time I receive a communicate: "Logowanie na serwerze ssl0.ovh.net za pomocą nazwy użytkownika „gallab@gallab.info” się nie powiodło." and there are choice options: "Spróbuj ponownie", "Wprowadź nowe hasło" i "Anuluj". I removed passwords stored in Thunderbird password storage, restarted PC and write down right password the problem with login still exists, i.e. login fails and there are still above choice options. I am jenny @davidbrownsundials.com and if I was not able to use my husband (david@davidbrownsundials.com),s laptop and the gmail account I use on my mobile, I would be totally stuck. I can write emails but no evidence remains. The best I get is a quick flash then everything disappears again. Help! I would be very grateful if this massive problem can be solved. I've tried searching for this very issue on the forums, but saw that there were none. Hopefully, this thread might help me and any others in the same situation.
One of my users started experiencing an issue where, whenever they try replying to certain email chains, the attached error message pops up, and it does not allow them to reply to the thread.
I tried troubleshooting with the user in my free time, and these were our findings:
- It starts happening after the thread is over 5 messages long. - They are the only one experiencing the issue out of all my other users. - We tried sending with and without attachments and changed some wording in the email to no avail. - We removed and played around with the people in the "CC" and "To" fields. - Thunderbird is up to date.
The only fix so far is to just start a new thread and continue communicating on there.
Would appreciate any assistance.
