I have a recurring problem, just started a few weeks ago. It comes and goes. I try to play netflix videos and get the message "Firefox is installing components need to play audio or video." I can't tell anything is being installed. I've tried purging cache, restarting firefox, restarting my computer. Windows 10. Firefox version 128.0.3 (64-bit)

I have attached several screen shots to describe the problem I have been experiencing with FireFox and E-trade (only). The problem started 2 days ago.
Window 11 - current Firefox - current 128.0.3 (64-bit)
The screen error that I am getting for the last two days is shown in attch #1
Looking at attch #2, the error occurs when I select any of the optional links starting with "Chart" and all other links that follow; the 1st two links are:
"Charts" link is https://us.etrade.com/e/t/invest/wsoddirect?wsod_page=/v1/stocks/charts/charts.asp?symbol=MS "News" link is https://us.etrade.com/e/t/invest/wsoddirect?wsod_page=/v1/stocks/news/search_results.asp?symbol=MS
All other equity stock main screens have the same problem.
Googling the error presented these suggestions (but nothing fixed the problem>) In Firefox Settings I have - cleared Cookies with "All Data" - HTTPS-only Mode is"disabled"; - "Enable DNS over HTTPS" is default Protection
Not sure what else to try. No problems occur with Chrome.

However, this only happens after a while. If I restart my computer, my Firefox will completely log me out of everything and I'll be able to connect to the internet for a while, until one day it doesn't. This typically happens to me once every 2 weeks, although it happened to me after 1 day this week between restarts. I tried the steps to remove the proxy but that doesn't work. Is there anyway to resolve this issue overall so I don't have to constantly restart? I am able to access the internet through safari and chrome currently. I am on Firefox 128.0.2.

I have had Firefox installed as a backup browser on Windows 10 Home Edition. Due to some strange and possibly non-resolvable issue, I keep having a problem with the Crash Reporter popping up stating that Firefox has crashed, even when Firefox has not been running *at all*. I updated to the latest version of Firefox; this resolved the problem for a few weeks but then Crash Reporter started popping up again. I might mention that when I do actually run Firefox, it comes up and runs fine, with no problem or crashing. I would like to know if there is some relatively simple way to disable the Crash Reporter itself from coming up.

Prior to this year the shortcuts always copied across with each update, but no longer. Is this a Firefox issue, or a Microsoft issue? I run Windows 10 on my PC.

Recently, in the past week or so, if I close my laptop and then open it up a few minutes or an hour later, FF doesn't connect to the internet at all. Error says that "you may be behind a firewall"
No firewall. Chrome, safari, MS Edge all connect to the internet but FF refuses to. Toggling wifi on/off for a few mins does nothing. Closing and reopening FF doesn't work. The only solution is to completely restart the machine (macbook pro).
Needless to say, this is incredibly frustrating. Anyone else having this issue?
It's really basic functionality like this I wish FF would focus on rather than all the experiments for new tab layouts, etc. that the community seems to be busy with. Side note: there's other 'quality' issues with FF lately e.g. if the Print dialog is opened, the entire browser window "greys out" even when going back to any of the tabs or windows... it stays in this greyed out mode as though the application isn't the selected one even though it clearly says FF in the upper left as the open application.
Any help is greatly appreciated. FF has really seemed to be declining in quality over the past year and it's sad to see.

Mozilla updated on my computed. After the update, the forward and back arrows on my top toolbar only work when I am in the Mozilla settings page. If I am on any other site, in order to get off the page or move back to a previous page, I must go to my app taskbar, highlight the Mozilla icon whereby all open pages that have not been closed appear and locate the previous page I need to refer back to. This is very inconvenient and seriously effects the ease of accomplishing whatever app I am trying to enjoy or task I am attempting to accomplish. Was there are bug incorporated in today's update? I have as my home page the BBC.Most of the time if I click on sport or the weather button the screen starts flashing.I cleared the cashe that lasted a couple of days then it started flashing again. By the way when the screen is flashing the reload button is flashing. Any help greatly appreciated.

Recently built a new box, installed Win10, upgraded to Win11, installed Firefox. In Firefox, I get audio with Youtube videos. But, in Facebook, Instagram and other sites, I get no audio at all. The sound icon doesn't have a slash in it. The audio just doesn't play. Seems like an HTML5 issue, but I'm no expert on that. I'm totally perplexed on this one. Checked the Windows Volume Mixer, checked everything I know to check, searched the issue and read of a very limited number of possible solutions, none of which helped me. Why would I get audio in Youtube videos, but not Facebook reels or videos? BTW, I don't have this issue in Brave. Any help appreciated!

I have a lot of tabs open, and I don't know which are responsible for the popups. Previously, I'd get 2-3 unexpected popups per day (that were not triggered by navigation in visible tabs), but since yesterday, every ~10min I'm getting 2 popups right after each other.
How do I find out what tab is triggering them?
Besides the annoyance, I find it worrying that firefox apparently "intends" to input login details into background tabs - if I had entered my master password previously, I wouldn't even notice that the password store had been accessed.
It would be really nice if the master password popup had a button to view the triggering tab (and perhaps highlight the fields that would have been filled after unlocking), but until that happens, I really need some way to locate the problematic tab(s)...
edit: changing the "fill usernames and passwords automatically" as well as "ask to save passwords" settings did not prevent the frequent popups from occurring. Even worse, while such a popup is open, firefox seems to be unable to load new pages in any tabs, and interactive applications (eg. google sheets) lose their connection until I close the popup...
