I am trying to use the Bing homepage for their daily images. When I open Fire Fox, the Bing homepage comes up but has a news popup along the bottom of the screen. I have unchecked the option for the "news and interests" from the 3 bar menu on the upper right and it goes away. But, when I open Firefox again, the news popup comes back up. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? This did not used to happen before I had to reinstall Firefox due to problems I was having. Thanks for any help.

When opening Firefox, the window shows a white screen indefinitely, and the cursor shows loading whenever it is held above it. During this period, the desktop and taskbar of my computer freeze completely. There are no reactions to hovering my mouse over taskbar icons, clicking anywhere results in a loading cursor, and other windows are no longer usable either. This carries over through multiple desktops and monitor extensions. This is resolved with a couple presses of the Windows key on my keyboard, which after a couple of seconds, turns the entire screen black apart from the Firefox window and reloads the desktop and taskbar. Doing this makes them usable again, but when attempting to close, click and drag, or manage tabs on the window, all tabs on the window freeze, as well as the desktop and taskbar once again. This can be resolved with the Windows key just as before, but it is disruptive to general computer workflow. What's more, certain other application windows open on the screen, including the file explorer, will close between refreshes, making work with multiple windows more difficult.

I am running Firefox 128.0.3 (64 bit) on a Windows 11 computer. This issue began yesterday (August 2, 2024), but it supposedly fixed itself that afternoon and came back this morning. I run Firefox with automatic updates, so I am unsure if this correlates with a software update. Removing the add-ons I used did not resolve the issue, and I use three extensions that were downloaded months ago with zero detrimental effects. I have data for bookmarks and favorites transferred from my Google Chrome browser, which I've dropped in favor of Firefox roughly 6 months ago with no issues.

I have already tried Mozilla's recommended troubleshooting methods in order to resolve this issue permanently. I have restarted my computer multiple times. I cleared my browser history, cookies, and data, uninstalled and re-installed Firefox, and refreshed Firefox from the troubleshooting information page. All to no effect.

Whenever I click my mouse somewhere blank on a webpage firefox will always select some text/image despite being nowhere close to it. This does not happen to me on chrome.

There were 2 firefox showing in my pc . So i uninstalled them. But now when i am trying to open a pdf it showing firefox as an option although firefox is not installed. screenshot attached . Can anyone tell me what to do?

I have several problems with firefox lately. I loved it and I have it for years. It kept all my passwords, more than 100. A few days ago firefox totally crashed on my side, it did not want to start any site, while on the same computer other browsers stated them. After I realized this I deleted the firefox and uploaded again. Now it works almost for all site (but for example not for booking) but I lost almost all my passwords:( I have now just 23 but lost many many. How can I get them back?

I recently learned Windows 10 support is going to stop in October 2025. I converted my Windows 10 to Windows 11 a little too early. The options I had was to 'keep everything I have' or manually select what I wanted to keep. Obviously I wanted to keep everything that I have so I selected to keep everything I have.

Windows 11 did a number on my computer. I think it fried my dual band bluetooth usb adapter, deleted saved email messages that included important passwords, and deleted all of my bookmarks that I had when I was using Windows 10 in one swoop.

For the past three days I've been trying to get what I had in Windows 10 back to Windows 11. I was able to replace some things but I seem to can't replace my old bookmarks. It has my job's link on there. I can't access my job through their horrible app but I can access my job online and no longer can do that. Even my history for the past month is gone. I thought I could access both my job points from there but it seems like the day I converted to Windows 11 deleted crucial things. Everything else is there.

Is there a way that I could retrieve my old bookmarks? I did the restore option but it only have 2 days which is the day I converted my computer but as I said, some things magically disappeared and I need those items back.

Over a week ago my videos on Utube quit working. I click on video and it starts to load but it never does load and start. The rotating circle never stops. If I click on the progress bar the popup shows the frame of the video so the info is in the machine. I had problems with cloudflare but I finally got rid of that garbage. It did not help with the video problem. I am running Windows 11 on an HP Pavilion that is about year old. It has 32 g of ram and 500g of storage. Windows and Firefox are up to date. I have rebooted and refreshed Windows and uninstalled Firefox but that does not help. I have no other problems, Chrome and Edge do not have the problem. I have an old HP desktop that runs windows 11 (slowly) and Firefox runs U Tube videos on it with no problems.

I have been using Firefox for a long time and truly enjoy it. However, lately it has problems loading websites. It can delay for two or three minutes to load gmail, citicards, Schwab, etc. I do not have the problem when I switch to Chrome. Therefore, it has to be something with Firefox. If this cannot be resolved I will switch, reluctantly, to Chrome.

Hello, what can I do to prevent the fans in my laptop from turning on at full speed when watching a video, or playing a music stream or internet radio through the site? I tried playing the same media on the EDGE browser and the computer is cool there, only through the Firefox browser, as soon as I turn on a YT movie or a radio stream, the fans start working at full speed. I have several accounts, all have the setting 'normal password'. The solution is installed on several mobile devices. Via mobile phone (Iphone) my outbox works perfectly. I get the error message on my tablet and PC. I have not changed any settings or anything else. What would be the solution?

I have been searching this theme on Firefox theme extensions for days and I think someone can help me. So I also attached an image of that theme. It's the image when I used it 1 year ago and I just fell in love with that theme.
