After years, I changed my default browser to Firefox instead of Safari. However, in spite of my careful searching and attempts to solve my problem(s) with preferences and reading help FAQs, I am unable to resolve the main issues. I am unable to go to LinkedIn, either my own page or anything else in Firefox. It goes to the page and remains stuck trying to log in. I can copy the url address and paste it into my Safari browser bar and all proceeds as it should ad I get logged in, etc. There is also an issue with my NYT digital account. Sometimes Firefox acts normally, signing me in and allowing me to read articles and so forth. But often, capriciously I would say since it makes no sense at all it will arrive at the lage and for an instant I'll see the article, or video, and then the page will go blank. Reloading produces the same result and I am unable in Firefox to see the content. If I go to the content on Safari, all is fine. I am seriously considering returning to Safari as my default browser. What is going on here? Thank you.

Dear Support. My Mac audio settings are set to output to channel 11 - 12 of my multi-track audio interface. However, Firefox's audio output only shows up on channel 1 -2. Can you help?

Hi, I can't open my gmail or youtube in Firefox. I run Norton Security and recently signed up to their 'clean up' software, I think this may have removed google cookies? I can access mt email by installing Chrome but I don't want it on my pc. Help!

For about a couple of weeks, there has been a lot of delay between what I type and when it actually appears. It's maddening! I have not changed any of my Firefox settings. I did a 'refresh' about an hour ago. I am not seeing any network activity that I cannot recognize. I d/l'd 'Malwarebytes' and ran it..."no threats". MS Defender has always been on & protecting me. I have never had this situation occur before and am hoping for some help (5 to 10 seconds to wait for what you've keyed in is not fun).

I'm using FF v. 127.02 and would like to delete recent bookmarks that show up under bookmarks/search. I would like to disable this feature.

It seems to be a very bad idea for privacy oriented browsers like FF. to store such info. Anyone including the kids can use my computer and see my search history. Several folks have tried various fixes without success.

Recently I've notice a large amount of advertisements popping in most of the sites I visit on the Internet. This is particularly frustrating for sites where I pay to be a member, like the Ney York Times. I'm not sure there is any function in Foxfire to help me with this problem, but if there is I'd like to know about it and how to use it. Thank you.

Hello! A tech rebooted my computer and all files were saved, but this person failed to do a backup of my browsers. I don't think I was logged in to any session in Firefox, but my bookmarks and passwords were saved.

Is there any way I can recover that information? I already tried and there seems to be no other sessions than the current one saved.

Hi all, I need to solve a problem that is a bit annoying. I am on ubuntu 22.04 and using SNAP Firefox 127.0 (64-bit).

When I am prompted to select a file, for example to upload an image, the file picker is shown. However the thumbnails are so small(and right now I only see the image name) that I cannot see what's the content of the image. I managed to show a preview on the right of the single selected image by modifying an option in about:config. However it is still a pain to find the image I am searching for when I have a long list of images. Is there any way to enable zoom on the list of thumbnails so that I can preview the contents of the images? I don't understand why there is no option to customize the display of the file list. In the attached image I show how it looks right now.

I have been dealing with problems with Firefox and YouTube for a long time. Every time I open a YouTube video in a new tab it would always give me this grey screen that goes away after a long time waiting.

I have tried:

• Refreshing Firefox
• Reinstalling Firefox
• Troubleshoot Mode, which the problem persist in troubleshoot mode so its not an addon
• Tried creating a new profile
• User-Agent Switcher which doesn't work all the time.

I want to avoid going chromium-based browsers but this is making me consider.

When a user opens hh.ru / headhunter.ru (famous HR portal in CIS countries) in Firefox, and then opens dev panel and tries to interact with it, especially with the code inspect tool, the whole browser stops responding.

The problem persists even on a clean Firefox profile. Other browsers (Chromium-based) work well with the dev panel on the hh.ru site.

For the past couple of weeks I have been getting the "Hmmm, We're having trouble finding that site" error screen quite often from both searches and links from other sites. It's always happened once in a while but it hasn't been anything bothersome. However recently it has become quite bothersome because it's happening a lot! However not all the time. It's not completely broken, just mostly. And it's happening while trying to visit sites that I know and visit frequently such as Amazon, Ebay, and even sites for local businesses that I trust and know are working. I'm not having any internet issues with my home wifi, nor am I having this issue with other browsers. I have however also noticed it on my Firefox mobile browser as well. I posted about this a few days ago and got some email back about an issue with my post. If this happens with this one and I'm unable to get this resolved I will just get rid of Firefox on my devices. FF has been a long time favorite and is usually set as my default browser but if stuff like this is going to continue, I can change that real fast. There are plenty of other browsers that work just fine and have decent customer support.

Everytime I load Firefox the bookmarks sidebar is not shown.

Navigating thus View => Sidebar => Bookmarks I can bring it up. It will stay visible for the whole of my browser session. However, after I've closed this session and started another. the bookmark sidebar is missing again.

How can I make the bookmarks sidr be available all the time?

FF 127.0.2 OS Windows 11 Pro v 24H2 Build(26100.994).

So I do not have the settings for cookies or history to be cleared i disabled that and I made sure it should save but no matter what I have to go through the struggle to sign back into everything. I've tried every fix like making a account then signing out or changing the settings nothing has worked. It's really annoying if anyone knows how to fix it that would be great

I add 2FA whenever possible. I was adding a new website yesterday and was unable to: FireFox (v. 127.0.2 on 64-bit Windows 10) was showing "Log in with Facebook" that was blocking one of the squares on the QR code! So I had to enter the many characters that were presented in order to add the 2FA code to Authy!

I looked in the settings and couldn't find anyway to turn that off.

How can this be fixed?

Hi. Every page I visit I get at least one message popping up with the URL at the top, the message body of "1" and the option for OK. Many pages have multiple prompts for what looks like advertising sites (based on the URLs). Sometimes I get the option to check a box saying "don't allow URL to prompt you again"

I guess it might be some sort of debugging mode? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and it still happens. I am on latest versions: Firefox 127.0.2 on a MacBook Pro (2019) with MacOS Sonoma v14.5.

Can you please help me to remove these prompts? It makes Firefox pretty much impossible to use due to multiple clicks per page load. I've tried searching for help pages but it's very hard to explain the problem to a search engine! Human needed! :)

Thanks for your help with this. When I search for something in FF and click on the MAPS button, it comes up with Apple Maps by default. I would like that button to open Google Maps by default. (Mainly because Apple Maps misses a lot of information and significantly hinders my searches. Invariably, opening Google maps gets me to my answer or information much quicker.

I have tried various help suggestions but simply have not been able to do this.

Please can you tell me if it's possible to do this and if so, how?

I've been out of town. After returning home Firefox updated to 127.0.2 but now it will not close its process when I close its window. When I try to launch Firefox again I get the error message below and attached:

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window. <Close Firefox> <Cancel>"

When I select "Close Firefox" the new Firefox window will then launch. However, if I open any web page the same error occurs after closing the window.

If I launch Firefox and then close it without opening a web page I do not get the error the next time I launch. Somehow going to any web page in Firefox prevents that instance of Firefox from closing.

I'm running Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4529 and it's shown as up-to-date.
