When I scroll through the tabs and I do not wait a bit after the next tab is shown, then often Firefox decides to jump suddenly about 10 tabs. This is really irritating because it requires me every time to search for the tab where I was. I am using Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit) for Windows.

In my opinion this is a design mistake. Fast jumping can be a nice feature but only when the user specifically requests it. For instance by holding down the control key while clicking on the scroll button. Now it makes scrolling actually very slow since you have to wait after the next tab is shown to avoid the large jump.

This issue was raised a few years ago and a solution was mentioned here:

But this solution appears not to work anymore. Is there a working solution to avoid the large jumps?

When I close FF all my log-ins are deleted. Is there a fix? I am running Windows10 - 64 bit - current update 112. Soooooo very tired of logging into EVERY website over and over and over again Plz keep it simple wo/a lot steps. Maybe number the steps so I can follow it a bit easier? <deep sigh>

I can't get Firefox to use some custom cursors. Firefox is only recognizing the cursors that came installed with Ubuntu. Any of the cursors I installed will default to DMZ-White, but Firefox is using those cursors that came installed with Ubuntu. I tried defining the default cursor in /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme but did nothing as well. Also I tried with the cursor in /usr/share/icons and in /home/name/.icons and firefox cannot get in any of those.

I don't know if it's something wrong with my cursors or it's some inner thing with Firefox, any one has a guess? Incompatibility or something missing from the cursor?

This happens only in Windows 11 and only with Firefox. After installing the add-on "Roboform" I don't get a Roboform Toolbar at the bottom of the page. This only happens with Firefox and Windows 11. Ive this problem on my other computer with Winows 10. Help!! I really need this resolved soon.

I am trying to log into an internet backing website, https://www.lloydsbank.com/, and enter my username and password. I know that they are correct because I have changed my password today and saved it in the password manager. The website doesn't log me in, it says that I need to enable cookies. I accessed Settings > Privacy & Security > Enhanced Tracking Protection and it is set to Standard, which should allow cookies. I retried using Help > Troubleshoot Mode which closes and reopens FireFox and I can then log into my bank without problems. I came out of FireFox and went back in, without Troubleshoot Mode and got the "enable cookies" error message again. Can anybody help?

‘No sound in Firefox (Linux or window), It start last night (4/30/23), (Vivaldi and Brave works fine), I have the latest Firefox and the latest (sounds drivers) updates in Linux and Windows, I reinstalled, I follow all your suggestions, disabling all the extensions but hasn't resolved the sound problem

I can scroll up in firefox, but not down. It doesn't matter which mouse i use, or even my touchpad. I can scroll both ways in all other programs with no issue. I am on a MSI laptop running Ubuntu22.04 with KDE.

Facebook works ok 'till I go to home page and it starts to load and stories or what ever they are called go blank and it continues to reload items over and over. Cleared cache and tried all other browsers and they work ok..

Recently I have had safe search forced on me, only on firefox, if I turn it off it is on again as soon as I search, it is not locked, I am in my 50's and I use my home wifi, home pc, as Inalways have. Any ideas please ?

Recently bought a new laptop and I'm not recieving any notifications for gmail with firefox.

I've ensured all the notificaions are set to allow and the come through fine on Chrome and Edge. Firefox is set to allow them but never sends them through.

Lately as part of organizing my life I have had two Firefox windows open, a work one and a personal one.

If I switch back and forth fairly frequently, things seem to function alright. But if I spend too many days only in the "work" window, I lose the ability to use the "personal" window (or vice versa). I can see it and click on it in the "Window" menu, but then nothing happens.

I tried Bookmarking All Tabs to see if I could close Firefox and then re-open the window using the bookmarks, but no functionality appears to be accessible for that window. If I restart Firefox once it will dutifully reopen the ghost window (ie. I can see it in the Windows menu but not access it). Restarting windows again loses the window completely.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is the only solution just to keep "checking in" on the other window, even if I'm only using one of them for a few days?

In bookmark bar, every bookmarks is highlighted white when hovered.

'Bookmark Menu' button is also highlighted, but its size is too small.

I've tried to use 'userChrome.css' with 'toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets' enabled.

This was all I could do.

There is '<label>' element under '#bookmarks-menu-button' so I might be able to use that for displaying string next to icon, but I don't know how to include it to 'white highlight' when hovered.

Also I found that when I try to change 'Bookmark Menu', popup menu (displayed under it) is aligned with icon, not text. So the popup menu will look like it is moved to left. I don't want this. I want the menu is aligned with text so that it is not look like it moved left.

TL;DR - I want to make 'Bookmark Menu' button look like other bookmarks, Icon with Text, Both are highlighted as one when hovered. Also popup menu when 'Bookmark Menu' is clicked should be aligned with text, not icon.

I've tried to get firefox to play videos on this desktop for a couple years. YEARS. I thought it was the video card so I bought a 3060. Same problem. Yes I UDD'd it. I've done the regular steps you'll suggest.

How can I get firefox to play the normal videos from say, facebook, youtube, and all the other basic places?? I've gone so far as to scrub Firefox from Regedit. ALL of firefox has been deleted. GPU has been replaced. All of the normal suggestions will not work. If you're going to suggest ANYTHING to do with the hamburger menu, please don't waste both of our time.

This has to be a windows 10 issue that ONLY affects Firefox. Edge and Chrome will play the video(s).

i would like to set it so that when i put my mouse on the top of the full screen, it doesnt exit full screen. when i hover my mouse at the top, the browser tabs appear. i need to stay in full screen. please is there a setting to stop this from happening? is there a setting to make the full screen stay on until i use my keyboard?

(context: i play a browser game, agar.io, in full screen, and when im trying to go up my cursor is no longer in the game and i temporarily lose control when that bar appears. also the game window distractingly resizes itself to fit the bar. i just transferred from opera and i dont want to have to get used to this happening, even if maybe for someone who doesnt game its useful)

Firefox was acting weird for a few days, so I refreshed it. Now my extensions in the toolbar have vanished, and I can't figure out how to pin them back. I read online instructions and saw a couple of videos, and they basically suggest that I click on "customize toolbar", then drag the addons onto the bar. Except that in my screen, my addons don't show up in the selections, so I can't drag them up. The addons are installed, and the weird thing is that I have ONE addon on the toolbar, but if I unpin it, it also doesn't show up in the possible selections (I had to press undo to keep it). Help?
