Hi,

I use fire fox as my default browser. It is still the default but now when I go to search the yahoo start page comes on. I cannot search with fire fox as this stupid yahoo home page over rides it. Please help!

There’s right-click + “Forget about this site”, but that deletes the information for the entire second-level domain (say example.org).

When in the process of moving things from *.example.org to *.example.com peu à peu, then I need to be able to individually forget say chat.example.org because it’s already moved to chat.example.com but retain all information for other *.example.org hosts.

WHY is it that I can get into my email account through Thunderbird and download mail, but when I try to go into the account manually I can't? I go into the settings copy the password, then manually input it into gmail, but it says it's the wrong password? I am using MacOS 10.14.6, and Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit)

Hi, got a problem for the last several days - on each visited site Firefox (my guess) is launching a pop up about add-ons for Ad Blocks tham I am using were updated with official national filters for Polish market.

This is super annoying and the pop-up jumps on almost every new site bieng visited (it is visible for ca. 5 seconds). Is there any way to stop it? How can I dissable this feature?

I have used Thunderbird for many years. I had a problem viewing a jpg file that I couldn't resolve and decided to uninstall Thunderbid to install it again. Mail is working smoothly but I can't access my multi-year Calendar. I've tried several alternatives with no solution and I really need help please. I'm in Portugal and I'm Portuguese. Whenever I select an email in my Inbox which has attached files (of any type) i get this pop-up, one for each attachment. https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-07-02-00-10-20-f3ab8a.png This has only been occurring since I updated to Ubuntu 24.04 and Thunderbird 115.12.0-2 If I click on the "Find more in Software" button I get a message 'Failed to execute child process "Gnome Software" (No such file/directory)'. I have searched for a solution but can only find a reference which suggests that the problem has something to do with Evolution, (the file handler, not Darwin's theory). Any suggestions? Cheers Ian

I'm not able to upload files to certain websites using Firefox on Android.

When selecting a file for the phone's file manager, the file upload simply not starting.

However, Firefox on iOS doesn't have that issue.

Firefox version used is the latest one and it is the one from Google Play.

Tried another browser and it works great.

I found missing customization option for Android Firefox to be AMOLED black theme, it just gets darker but not pitch black. Or I haven't found the way to do it

It seems like a difficult problem, which no one knows how to solve, not even Firefox (?) The problem has existed for a while and has not been recognized and resolved by Fiorefox. Very simple and straightforward problem: open a web page, give permission for location (this is indeed set in the settings) and the web page can determine the location. After closing the web page and restarting it, the location is blocked again, even though the settings states that Firefox still has access to the location.

Sometimes it happens that an input field on a page in an IFRAME cannot be clicked. The buttons work, but you can't enter anything in the text field.

Only when I press in the address bar and then in the text field, now I can enter text in the text field.

Updated Thunderbird to 117.12.2 on the 25 June 2024. Since then I am not receiving emails on my computer. I have actually sent some emails but they don't save into the sent folder and I have had a "Add security exception" warning occured when sending.

Cannot use the hours dropdown on Calendar Widget in Mozilla, when I click on the hours, the dropdown appears for half a second and then dissapears, so I cannot use it. Works fine with Edge and Chromium. OS Ubuntu 24.04. Tried private mode and disabling add-ons - only one I have is UBlock. When inspecting the console does not show any errors.

I can't figure out how to customize the collections. I want to be able to organize my collections alphabetically, make sub-collections under a parent collection (like one can do in Gmail, for example), it would also be helpful have the option to choose the color of the main/parent collections, and to be able to search within the collections using a keyword in a search box.

With all of these customizable options, I could create a better, more efficient organizational system that would REALLY help to keep & identify collections quicker & easier.

I have had to make dozens & dozens of collections due to the inability to file sub-collections under main/parent collections.

As a result, a frustratingly unnecessary amount of time & effort is spent trying to remember when & where (throughout my ENTIRE history of having Firefox/using collections) a particular collection is located.

I then ALSO have to spend an unnecessary & frustrating amount of time searching within the collection just to locate a particular link as there is no search bar within the individual collection (or from all of the collections, umm... collectively) to facilitate a search.

Once I eventually find the 1. Collection I'm looking for, and then eventually find the 2. Link I'm looking for.. I can click on the link, and I'm directed to the page I saved, but here's the bonus:

When I hit the back button, I'm taken to the page I was on, previous to the page I saved. This is SUPER helpful when I come back to something I've been researching as it helps me to reconnect to the line of thinking I had during the time of research. This helps to eliminate the need to keep such a detailed journal of the thought processes behind each area of research to expand upon or revisit.

So thank you for that!! Also, please don't mess with it? I'm only needing help with the items mentioned at the beginning of this message.

I first mentioned this in r/Firefox, and was asked to re-post here.

My FF just updated to 127.0.1 even though I have "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" and told it to wait. This was on a Windows 11 box. Everything seemed fine, but then one of my tabs crashed. I selected the reload tab option, at which point it informed me it could not load the tab because a background update had happened and I was now required to restart Firefox.

I'm not certain what version of FF I was on, I believe it was either 126 or 126.0.1.

Now, to be completely fair, I cannot with 100% certainty say that I clicked on the update later option. That said, as I _did not want to update then_, and I have put off the update before, it seems unlikely I would have made the mistake, but I wasn't recording everything I did so I can't play it back and prove it. My initial reaction was to associate it with the tab crashing somehow, as everything was working as expected right up until that moment.

My issues:

1) Every time I close Firefox I get the Mozilla Crash Reporter telling me that Firefox has crashed. Sometimes I even get the Mozilla Crash Reporter when I start Firefox. But Firefox is still there.

2) When I turnoff my Comodo Firewall, Firefox has no Internet connection.

I have done clean uninstalls/reinstalls over and over. I go thru and adjust settings. My other browsers work fine, including WaterFox, WaterFox Classic, and Vivaldi.

I tried turning off my security software to test. Specifically exiting Comodo Firewall seems to have caused Firefox to not have an Internet connection. All other browsers have Internet access except Firefox. And the Crash Reporter cannot "report" when the Firefox Internet connection does not work, though I did have it report many times when the connection DID work.

One other clue: In Task Manager I see that even though I have closed Firefox, there over 20 instances of it still running. When I try to open it again, I get the "Firefox already running" error message. When I try to kill these instances/processes many will not close.

This problem has been persistent for more than half a year since I built my new PC. I am on Windows 10 LTSC. Besides Comodo Firewall, Emsisoft Anti-Malware is my main anti-malware.

I have TB ver 115.12.2 64 bit. It reports as being up to date. During attempting to make the changes necessary to accommodate Microsoft's Modern Authentication I reach a point where the option to select OAuth2 does not appear in the Outgoing Server SMPT settings drop down menu, see the image. How do I deal with this? Thanks for your help.

Sometime in the last few months, Firefox (Developer Edition) stopped allowing redirects and links to file://-protocol URLs. Is there a way to re-enable this for my personal browser, e.g. via about:config or the like?
