Signed into Wall Street Journal. Clicked on a subject. Got this on a screen Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). Tried to ask the question at WSJ, Their trees are hard to get through. What is a browser console?

I recently upgraded to Thunderbird 128, and now I have very strange things happen when I filter messages. After I type one or two or sometimes three characters into the Filter field Thunderbird freezes. If I continue typing the additional characters don't appear in Filter, nothing happens in filtering, and my mouse cursor disappears when it is in the Thunderbird window (it appears normally if outside the window). After several seconds everything starts working OK, and my messages get filtered.

So, in the end I can filter messages, but this freezing is frustrating and a waste of time.

I've been able to change some of the Tooltips in my Firefox, but there are still that I can't edit. I've not been successful on Thunderbird at all. Using this in my Firefox's `userCrome.css`:

` The "Show your Bookmark", "Open a new Tab", "Back/Forward", "Reload", all of my bookmark websites work. The "Home", "Open application Menu" and "Extensions" still show a black bg w/white text. Switching to a light theme shows the white bg w/black text, so it's a theme issue and not a Operating System (Win 10) thing.

I can't seem to get any of my custom Tooltip colors to show up in Thunderbird.

Any help would be appreciated!

I deleted a work account (hosted on google) and I keep getting pop-ups from Oauth to authenticate it. Looking at the troubleshooting information while it is not in the mail and news accounts list it does show up as an account.

Also, looking at the profile directories I seem to also see possible accounts that were deleted a long time ago but still straggling around.

How can I resolve this?

I've written this back in March of 2024 about Being Managed By Your Organization but after reading all the ones that state "Resolved" I still don't get it! I'm using Win 10 Pro 64 Bit Enterprise and everyday or any time I reboot I have to go into the registry to find Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies and delete Mozilla which the key shows ImportEnterpriseRoots. Now I'm running Avast Premium Security and have dealt with it from what I read about anti virus programs. When it comes to going into C:\Programs\Mozilla\ it doesn't show a folder called Distribution (not sure if that is the correct name but close enough to delete some jason file. I need some plain simply answer to resolve this daily problem.If you need more information please ask since I'm at my whits end dealing with this idiotic injection where even MircoShaft thinks I'm being managed *Some settings are managed by your organization? What organization since I don't have one. Please help a senior at 74 get this resolved.

Since update to ver 128.1.0esr the "new subfolder" feature does not work (does not show window to name new folder). I have many subfolders and I rely on them heavily. I tried restarting Thunderbird, then Windows. I ran in debug mode with no success. I downloaded and installed 128.2.0esr again. No change.

Is it possible to go back to the earlier version? Which is? Thanks, Frederick

This is about Thunderbird. I'm using version 115.12.1 (64-bit). When composing or forwarding an email, I can't see the subject after typing it in and moving the cursor to another field. If I move my cursor back to the subject field, the subject becomes visible again. Is this the way it is intended to work?

Whether I use Firefox or Google, when i pull up search results NONE of the businesses show a rating anymore, a feature which used to be there. Example, I search for "home insurance". A list of Insurance companies with their overall average rating should show up. The ratings are gone. All of them. Why is this? Same happens regardless of what type of business I am searching for.

Netzero says I am located in Phoenix, Az. I am in Tucson, Arizona. It won't let me change it. I have tried numerous times but to no avail. What is the solution to this? I am going crazy trying to rectify this on my own.

Hello Help, I go to https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1340339 as per Google's directions and find 3 Firefox Feedback items, yet no way to get to the Google's and Mozilla's standard prevalent "Go to Help and click 'Submit Feedback'," yet there is no such option for this. It's odd bc I see this:

  "2 respostas    3 have this problem     2 views"

Repostas isn't even in English, and there's no way to click a "I have this problem exact same problem" and the "Views" have to be greater than 2. I see one angry feedback was complaining there is no way to submit feedback, and the response is the standard answer. Are you talking about a different Firefox or you're, for some reason, giving the Android solution? Or perhaps you pulled 3 questions submitted via the question forum, well before more people could say they also have the same issue, and posted static copies of them. At least have the wherewithal to tell us there's no way to just submit feedback other than by the question forum. This doesn't seem like too much to ask of you where you get the chance to defend yourselves when it's required. And it seems reasonable to submit feedback so as a person gets an answer, so why not say so? Anyway, that's my peeve except for a different one I'll ask separately. Cheers, r P.S. 1. Sometimes I use the browser while the system is in dark mode.
2. Then I switch system to light mode. FF recognizes it and switches to light mode accordingly.
3. Then I use it in light mode for a little more.
4. Then some time passes (maybe a few hours), I don't use FF during that time.
5. Then, I tap on FF icon, the browser starts, but immediately switches back to dark mode, while the system is still in light mode.
6. I have to close FF by swiping on it in task switcher, and then tap on the app again.
7. FF now uses light/dark theme according to system.
