Emails are being deleted immediately on download and nowhere to be found. Adaptive junk mail controls or off, unabled. I want all emails including 'junk'. Why is this happening? How can I correct this?

Below, and attached, is the error that is displayed each time an email is sent from thunderbird on a single PC only that is on a network. The error is for a malformed email that has a "." after the .com

Send Message Error ! Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <removed@removed.com.>: domain missing or malformed sender already given. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

Resolutions attempted: -The malformed email has been removed from the local address book and the error persists -Thunderbird updated to latest version

I chanced my password in Juno & put that same password into Thunderbird [I think] Since then I have needed to use that new password to open the Thunderbird program, but Thunderbird won't download email from my Juno popmail to Thunderbird. I have a bug noted in Thunderbird for OSX:

Thunderbird for OSX always send messages to Sent Folder, even if not checked to do so.

I use BCC to send copies of my emails to Inbox, but everytime I send some email a copy is placed in Sent Folder even if I already set to not put a copy there. It seams that uncheck the checkbox to don't do so have any effect.

My Thunderbird just upgraded me from 115 to 128.1.0esr. After the upgrade I can no longer send emails. I receive emails but when I try to send them, after pressing the send button, nothing happens - no popup telling me that Thunderbird is trying to send the email or anything else. If I close the send box, it saves the email to drafts. - I have not changed any of the outgoing server details and all was working fine with the previous version - 115.??? (don;t remember the service release but I think it could have been 9). Any help to get this resolved would be appreciated.

Thunderbird fails to opn properly and I get message "Unable to open folder mailbox ... because it is in use by another process. Please wait..." Waiting never ends. It is trying to load my default in box. If I try clicking on the Loading message £I get Thunderbird is not respondinng ,,..."

There was a bug reported, and it is listed as closed (solved). When will this bug fix show up in the release version? Or how do I put in a patch? Thunderbird is almost useless for me with this problem. Here is the bug report thread: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1908761

When someone sends me an email from their gmail account, thunderbird dopes not download it from the server. I use gmx.com for my email. All other emails sent to me are downloaded by thunderbird but not ones sent from gmail accounts. It is not a problem with gmail because if I use the web access, the email is on the server but is not downloaded by thunderbird. I have checked the filters in thunderbird, there is no reference to gmail.

The odd thing is that I have a second email account, also on gmx and thuderbird does correctly download the emails sent from gmail accounts. Any idea how I can solve this problem?

Sometimes when I save an email in my inbox to a subfolder it doesn't appear in the subfolder but when I search for that email search finds it in that folder. Why doesn't it appear in the list of emails in that folder?

Hi, Why do I have to click twice in a row on a message in the trash that I want to delete? This is how I do it: The message is moved to the trash and should be deleted from there. I mark the message in the trash and then click once on Delete at the bottom right. A window appears asking if I really want to delete. I then click once on Delete and neither the window nor the message disappears. Only when I click on Delete a second time do the window and the message disappear from the trash. What could be the reason for this and how can I fix it? Thank you for a useful answer. I don't have much experience with IT and Thunderbird. Regards Manfred

Adding gmail address to Thunderbird. Brings up the screen with the correct gmail address. I press allow, but message in Thinderbird is telling me wrong credentials. Dit all the tips I found, still wrong credentials. Fighting this for weeks on and off. Can't find the source of the problem. I am a Thunderbird user for many years, contributed money because I was(?) a happy user.....now I am frustrated. Please help me out.

I have a user/colleague who suddenly missed a few mails from inbox on Thunderbird 128.1.0esr (32-bit).

We already tried "repair folder (Rebuild Summary File Index) and that range of emails are not visible.

What other process we can execute to make visible those missing emails?

Why can't I delete "Archive" folder in my Thunderbird? (see attachment "Thunderbird - folders"). I even managed to remove it, but after a while a message appears (see attachment "Attention"). My settings are as follows in the attachment "Thunderbird - settings". When I close and reopen Thunderbird the "Archive" folder reappears. When I access my email through a browser, there is no "Archive" folder (see attachment "Webmail - folders"). Also a screenshot of the folders in webmail (attachment "Webmail").

How should I proceed to finally get rid of the old "Archive" folder?

Hello, I'm Christian. I am still facing issues changing my Thunderbird into an IMAP account, for following reasons: -exporting the existing is OK -creating the IMAP account is OK -Reimporting the messages from previous POP3 account difficult, because: -when using the import fonction, a local folder is being created with a directory three that looks liked the previous Dir structure I had previously. But transfering the folder and files proves difficult, the copy/paste function does not work properly so I can't just click and drag. My thunderbird folder is approx. 20g, could that be the reason? Furthermore, I cannot delete the previous POP3 account or the local folders. Any idea why? I actually do have a thunderbird account (POP3) comprises of 4 differents email addresses, I can delete 3, but not the last one as it appears to be the default one. For some time E-mails open as blank tabs. This mainly happens for older E-mails but it is still kind of random. Everything else seems to work fine so I'm really puzzled here. I tried a lot already: updated to the latest version (28.1.0esr), Troubleshoot Mode, compacting ... any suggestions or similar experiences?
