Copied mac Firefox profile and tried to load profile on newer mac os partition. Did not work and now lost all bookmarks on older os partition. HELP!

I received an email suggesting that I update my Firefox or I would lose syncing function. I have two computers. A fairly new iMac Ventura 13.6.8 running Firefox 123.0 64 bit which it says is up to date. But I also have an older iMac OSX 10.11.6 El Capiten running Firefox 78.15.0 ESR. I can't update the OS or Firefox on the old computer. So if I do nothing - will I still be able to sync on the newer Mac. I'm not too worried about the old one - I don't use it much for browsing - more for documents. Thank you. David Rimell
