Copies & Folders option in the account settings

I have 10 email accounts in my Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) and I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and all my sent, draft, archives and templates are going into a diffe… (lexoni më tepër)

I have 10 email accounts in my Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) and I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and all my sent, draft, archives and templates are going into a different folder. I want them to go into the folder from which the email was sent but they are all going into the email tinakeeling@att.net.

I have changed it to reflect the correct folder but then a few days later and every time I restart Thunderbird the program changes the folders back to tinakeeling@att.net

I have even unchecked the box "place a copy in" and when Thunderbird is restarted it reverts back.

What can I do to fix this issue?

See our help article - Modern Authentication Methods now needed to continue syncing Outlook Email in non-Microsoft email apps. However, you may need to contact the creators of those applications to provide you with instructions. In many cases, simply removing and re-adding your account with the latest version of that application will configure it to use modern authentication methods.

Will Thunderbird continue to link me to Outlook? If so, how?

I came to Thunderbird because I have been using an email server - btinternet - for many years and it has become clogged with a backlog of emails many of which were not opened and remain so. I would like to retain my email address, John.romm@btinternet.com, it is a vitally important one for my work. But I would ike to use and manage it Thunderbird which is already working well for me. However, it is important to do both of two things. First, I need to bulk delete all unopened emails - some 160,000 of them. And second, I would like to construct filters to keep a wide range of incoming emails out of my inbox. Please help!

Does "mailnews.localizedRe" still work? If yes, how? The (preinstalled) default value is "AW,Aw,aw". But when I reply to a message whose subject line begins with "AW:", … (lexoni më tepër)

The (preinstalled) default value is "AW,Aw,aw". But when I reply to a message whose subject line begins with "AW:", Thunderbird prepends it with "Re:", so that after a few back and forths we have silly subjects like "Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: AW: .............. ".

I recently created a new profile, changing from POP3 to IMAP in order to meet the new Microsoft security requirements. All went well until I went to change my address book backup copy routine to access my address book in the new profile.. I cannot find any .MAB nor .SQLITE files anywhere! My address book is out there somewhere, as I can bring it up in Thunderbird, but I cannot find the actual file. What's going on?

'account setup from existing' gives error

To address the 'write auth' error, I followed the instructions given to re-create the email 'from existing' and set the config as POP3. When I clicked Done I got an "erro… (lexoni më tepër)

I am trying to setup an Outlook account on Thunderbird and I get an error: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." I have an existing Outlook account which I am able to use on the Outlook app on Windows, the Android app and the web version on outlook.live.com I wish to have an e-mail client on my Linux Mint machine from which I can access my Outlook e-mails. To do so, I went to the 'Account Setup' page on Thunderbird and used these to set up my account: Your Full Name: <My Name> Email address: <email-id>@outlook.com Password: <My Microsoft password which I use to sign in to Outlook> Under Manual configuration: INCOMING SERVER Protocol: IMAP Hostname: outlook.office365.com Port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 Username: <email-id>@outlook.com OUTGOING SERVER Hostname: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication method: OAuth2 Username: <email-id>@outlook.com

I am sure that the password I am using is indeed the correct password. I still get an error as shown in the screenshot on the Account Setup tab. How do I resolve this issue? Thanks a lot!
