Third account fails to authenticate even though two other accounts work fine using the same server settings. Any ideas?

This third account uses the same server, and when I do the setup, manually editing the server name to the proper server, and have it detect auth methods, it detects those methods just fine. This is the exact same setup process I followed to set up the first two accounts, and they both work great.

So, for some reason, this third account, on the same host as the other two, fails authentication.

Is there some magic "third account on the same server" limitation? IIRC, using T-Bird a while back, I had no issues with a multitude of accounts on the same server.

This is all within a single profile. No, I'm not creating another profile. I want all three of these accounts visible at the same time. This is a brand new setup of all three accounts as well. I created the first two yesterday, which still work just fine, and am now adding this account today.

It's not a new gmail or googlemail, is it?

if so login to [https://www.google.com/settings/secur.../security] on your account and allow less secure apps
