Add-ons සාමාන්‍යයෙන් වර්ග තුනකි:
දිගු මඟින් Firefox හි පවතින අංගයන් වෙනස් කිරීම හෝ ඊට නවමු විශේෂාංග එක් කිරීම හෝ සිදු කළ හැකියි.මෙමඟින් වෙළඳ දැන්වීම් වාරණය කිරීම,වෙබ් අඩවි වලින් Video බාගත කිරීම, Facebook,Twitter වැනි වෙබ් අඩවි සමඟ ගැළපෙන පරිදි Firefox ඒකාග්‍ර කිරීම මෙන්ම වෙනත් බ්‍රව්සර වලින් අංගයන් එක් කිරීම ද සිදු කළ හැකියි.
පෙනුම ට අදාළ වන Add-ons වර්ග දෙකකි.ඒවා නම් buttons හා menu වල පෙනුම වෙනස් කරන Complete Themes හා පසුතල රූප මඟින් menu bar හා tab strip වල පෙනුම වෙනස් කරන Background Themes වේ.

Plugins යනු සියලු ආකාරයේ අන්තර්ජාල අන්තර්ගතයන් ට සහාය දක්වන Add-ons වර්ගයකි.මෙහි video, audio, online games, presentations හා තවත් දෑ සඳහා යොදා ගැනෙනා Flash සහ Silverlight වැනි patented formats ඇතුළත් වේ.වෙනත් සමාගම් මඟින් Plugins නිර්මාණය කිරීම හා බෙදා හැරීම සිදු කරයි.Support ended for all NPAPI plugins, except for Adobe Flash, in Firefox version 52. ඔබ විසින් ස්ථාපනය කර ඇති වර්ග මොනවදැයි බැලීමට:
