Disabling translation still offers to translate

I am running Firefox 127.0.2 on Android 12. I have disabled the "Offer to translate when possible" setting and I still get the pop-up to translate pages in languages othe… (citește mai mult)

I am running Firefox 127.0.2 on Android 12. I have disabled the "Offer to translate when possible" setting and I still get the pop-up to translate pages in languages other than English; please see attached images.

I want this to stop. I AM NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN TRANSLATING!!! Is this possible?

The new on-device translation has been integrated into Firefox starting from version 118. I can't find any information about when (or if) this is coming to the Android (and, while we're at it, iOS) version?

For many in my friends and family circle, this is _the_ feature that keeps them on Chrome.
