Oh great big blue bar which I guess will install Google+ without telling you what it is or how to get rid of it before you try it.

I sure don't want it hope I don't have to keep looking at that blue bar.

How to get rid of the blue bar demanding attention to install Google+ -- so far the most feasible answer appears to be to add some filters to the "Adblock Plus" extension.

One of the most popular answers is to install the filters in ADP (works for me):  :right-click on ADP button > Preferences > filters (add filter) or "Ins" (insert keyboard button use where you want to add the filter) > add the following filters: (I don't need the co.uk items, the gbpr is the gray wording within blue bar)

google.com###gbx1
google.com###gbx2
google.com###gbpr
google.co.uk###gbx1
google.co.uk###gbx2
google.co.uk###gbpr

Those are actually Elements so you need both of these extensions

and the other most popular answer is to stop using Google. (so Adblock Plus may just rescue Google from their mess)

How to get rid of Google+ for those who did install it and don't want it.

There is still a serious problem for those who have both ADP and the "Redirect Remover" extensions active. To signout of Google, you must disable one or the other. No problem signing in with both active only at the point when you want to sign out of Google.

For those not already familiar with the "Adblock Plus" extension suggest you read the following page for some information on the extension.
