Firefox was running fine earlier today. IE works fine (not that I ever use it). The only think I had done earlier was run a check disk.

I've removed it (completely) and re-installed it.

Still crashes!

Oh it looks like this could be due to Trusteer Rapport. Try uninstalling that program.

If you need that program for your banking

Yup, I stopped Trusteer Rapport and that worked. I've been using it (for banking and other sensitive sites) from months. Up until this afternoon, it was not an issue on the laptop (XP SP3) under Firefox (7.x). It still played nice with IE on the laptop.

I don't have the issue on my regular PC (Windows 7). There, Trusteer/Rapport plays nice with Firefox 7.0.1. Their icon shows up on the IE 8 URL line (but I don't see it under IE9 64bit).

I've uninstalled it from the laptop awaiting their reply. It's not the frst time I've had an issue with them. In the future it will be the first thing I checked.

Cheers (and thanks)

This morning, I couldn't get either IE9 or Firefox7 to come up on my PC (Windows7) until I disabled/stopped Rapport (and logged off and back on).

I have a web conference with Trusteer/Rapport Monday. I hope to get an answer then.

I called both my banks to let them know, in case others start having the same issues and are able to track the problem down to Rapport.
