I have an old Mac which still works fine, but this latest change to Firefox sort of came out of the blue, so I had not prepared or considered buying an upgraded Mac? Then I saw that Firefox were offering a 2 month overlap solution, whereby I could download an Firefox ESR extension which I have since done, which seems to be working, albeit I have now found that it seems Microsoft (I hate those people) have interfered in that I can no longer format any Word documents as I have previously been able to do, when writing to clients using my business profile Matrix letterhead etc, moreover I also have a Skype phone (which is fully credited) yet now when I try to call someone on Skype, whilst I can hear them, they cannot hear me? So I am now wondering, whether your ESR temporary solution doesn't interface with those Microsoft products? I have tried speaking with Microsoft, but honestly it is like talking to a brick wall, as all they are interested in is forcing people like me to pay U.S.D $65 to speak with some Tech head who invariably doesn't know the answer anyway! I would very much appreciate your advise?

I have been searching this theme on Firefox theme extensions for days and I think someone can help me. So I also attached an image of that theme. It's the image when I used it 1 year ago and I just fell in love with that theme.

In Firefox I get:

   File not found
   Firefox can’t find the file at https://the_url_in_question.
   Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
   Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.            

Same file called seconds apart. Please note: this is NOT a 404 error. The file is there: if I fix the error on line 747, the PHP Notice goes away and FF loads the page correctly.

I already occasionally run into sites that don't behave well with Firefox, forcing me to use another browser in some cases.

Will enabling these settings tend to contribute to exacerbating the problems?

firefox stated it would close, update , open and restore tabs. This happened: a message stating..XUL runner error Platform version 128.03 not compatible with min 128.0 or max 128.0

What do I need to do ?

My configuration is the following: Windows 11, internal display connected to iGPU and external UHD display to nvidia-HDMI port, multiple firefox windows are opened (1 one the internal screen, 2 on the external).

Then in Windows->Settings->GPU I can select firefox to run on either iGPU (powersaving) or on Nvidia GPU (max perf), the problem is the following: Whenever I set firefox running on iGPU, there would be a massive stuttering/framedrop on an external display (connected to NVIDIA), while a perfectly smooth browsing on internal display, and vice versa.

My first attempt was to disable webrenderer compositor or switching it to a software rendering, which fixes the heavy stuttering, but the scrolling becomes overall less fluid/responsive.

However, setting "layers.gpu-process.enabled" to "false" seemingly solves this problem completely. Now I have a perfectly smooth scrolling on both displays, regardless of which GPU is used in Windows->Settings->GPU (nvidia's is arguably a little but more responsive).

Hope this helps someone, or maybe dev team could look deeper into this.

Is there a way to force FF to use HTTP/3? There are multiple instances (youtube, for example) when site says "alt-svc: h3", but FF ignores it and keeps using at best HTTP/2.

I don't even move my mouse or do anything, and video is pausing randomly without any of my input. It doesn't have any frequency, it just happens. You can see it on video below. I watched nearly 5 minutes of a random video, and it paused 4 times without any reason. As you can see, everything I do is just moving my mouse a little and that's it. No more input from me. Un known command and why CMD.exe not support the setting only (dir) only is enable. If I use help command ( the command I see is command on json like (HTML) is shud i install CMD.exe or remix.org commanf is this possible can i use this tnx..

Configuration details are below. The Firefox desktop for Windows address bar does not function [it was fine previously]. If search keys or an internet address are entered into it, carriage return results in no action. The address bar is fully functional in Troubleshooting Mode. Shortcuts on the New Tab page or the desktop DO function.

AVAST virus checker reveals no malware.

Because Microsoft's timeserver remains shit as ever (which is why if I install Windows I tend to sync up with nist.gov instead of windows.com, but this time I forgot to do so), the time/date stamp didn't match up and Firefox absolutely refused to sync.

HOWEVER.... the only reason I found this out is because I checked about:sync-log and am able to correctly read those logs and the implication therein. Which, honestly, shouldn't be needed.

When I realized this I synced up with nist.gov, which solved the sync issue, but if you don't know about the state of the Windows time server and how drastically synced up in regarding the time you need to be for the Firefox sync to work, you're pretty much screwed.

Which is why I'd like to suggest a warning in regards to this, if the system notes a 'time de-sync' and tells you why syncing doesn't work. You shouldn't need (by the average citizen's standard) need intermediate or better computer knowledge skills to realize why the syncing doesn't work.

Learn more… this what i get now after being able to get in earlier.

I use a 3rd party password manager that has a Firefox browser extension. Using usernames and passwords is no problem. But for sites that I have passkeys saved for, Firefox tries to intercept the passkey request and validate the request on it's own. If I go into about:config and set security.webauthn.enable_macos_passkeys to False, the passkey request is just not accepted at all and the login request errors out.

I need the browser to be able to pass these passkey requests to my extension based password manager, not to be interpreted by Firefox itself.

The requested functionality works fine in Chrome and Chromium variants such as Edge and Brave, btw.

Explain why I get a message saying that the website is not secure when it is. I have been using this for months with no issues but in the last 3 days it has become a huge issue. It crashes and will not come back up for hours. I need a explanation yesterday
