I cannot clear this cache to zero no matter what I try. How can I clear this cache. It just started happening after a recent update. I clean my caches after every use but not any longer.

I made a post the other week about issues I was having with Firefox & YouTube.

Having put the browser in safe mode I discovered that it was my ad blocker/s. That said, I had notice Firefox lagging or loading hard on video sites, not just YouTube as well as some applets on other sites. And having experimented with various ad blockers and video sites as well as my own blogs, I find that I am not having these problems with ad blockers in Chrome or Edge, but only Firefox, so much so, that most of these sites are entirely unusable unless I disable the ad blocker/s in Firefox.

Frankly, I've been noticing it for some time, but as of the other week they have nearly rendered the browser unusable, or the ad blocker/s unusable in Firefox on said sites. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the add-ons, from the Mozilla site, to no real avail.

It is not only annoying but very frustrating and I am about to give up, on the browser altogether. I am not having these problems with the same ad blocker/s in Chrome.

I've spent nearly two weeks on this and it hasn't gotten better.

Image url has jpg at the end, when I save, the extension is webp. webp opens as darkened version of the original image in browser. How to disable webp and save normal fiel that won't be dark? Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. I imagine this belongs in the customize controls area as it's part of settings that we are supposed to have control over and after messing around and changing everything to ask first I am still unhappy. At least I found the reason for my displeasure after reading about the new release of FF98.

Why did you change the protocol for saving files? Not having that dialog box pop up is very inconvenient. I haven't tried to play any files since FF 98 downloaded to my pc but I bet it's equally as annoying. Please go back to the old way in your next release. Some of us are in the camp of Who Moved My Cheese and we don't like this new change. It's bad enough that I have to deal with black background on menus etc due to the background I chose but this is nuts. Thank you.

I want Protonmail as my default mail for Firefox. Windows 11 allows me to install Protonmail as an application. I cannot find or use that application in order to use my Protonmail email as my 'mailto' option in Firefox. Why does Firefox not allow this? Why can't Firefox find and suggest the Windows 11 Protonmail app in its list of suggestions under 'mailto' options?

When I do a search using google, and then click on a choice (one of the first sites listed) my browser tries to go to something called "googleadservices" and it will not load. Just hangs up and gives me a blank page. How do I stop this or remove googleadservices?

At some point Mozilla removed the Cut, Copy and Paste options in Firefox which breaks functionality on some web-pages. An example is for Ubiquiti's router web interface, in their terminal, Ctrl-C is the typical Linux kill command, right click is commandeered for a terminal layout configuration menu, and the only way to past text into the webpage is to use the Paste menu item that used to be in the hamburger menu.

There are other web-pages that using the menu item is the only or best way to cut/copy/paste text.

Removal of this feature breaks those web pages.

I guess this applies for any web browser, but is there an option to disable this with Firefox...? Basically, whenever my BT connection goes offline, Firefox decides to take it upon itself to open up just to tell me it can't connect/that the web is offline etc. It's seriously annoying. I know it's offline as the hub light will change from blue to green/orange etc. It's even worse if I'm doing something else, such as playing on a game, and it's interrupted by the web browser opening itself. :-\

How can I transfer the logins file from an old profile to a new one? When I search online all I get is references for transferring Firefox folders to another computer. Any help gratefully appreciated.

I use two displays, suddenly it is no more possible to move the Firefox- and/or Thunderbird-Windows from Monitor to the other monitor, grabbing its mainbar and trying to move, the window sticks on half way and then flops back.

Hi, when I had cleaned out all my bookmarjks duplicates (and they were many 50.000 accumulated through the years)on my Linuxmachine and turned on my Windows 10 machine they were all back. So my question is: what data is saved when syncing with Firefox sync? And I dont mean the different types you can choose between ,no I mean: when I change one thing on onea logged in firefox on one machine doesnt that change the status of, and in my example the bookmarks on the other machines? Or is it the other way around, namely: will the second machine with all the duplicate bookmarks change the sync-"base" so they will be back on all other machines again? Very confusing especially if youre logged into moire machine then one at the same time. Please answer me, I really need to clean up my firefox's accumulated duplicates pretty quick. Sincerely Wal

using firefox, utube has dropped the feature of being able to remove timestamps on transcripts. Has anyone figured out how to get them back as an option to remove them? Thanks for your help.

I have loved being a Mozilla-stuff user intermittently since teaching on Netscape 1.1, and now am making Firefox 98.02 my default browser. I like both Safari and Firefox, and sometimes use them simultaneously for two accounts on the same service (not right now). My physically pristine 2015 Mac cannot install OS's past the 10.12 I have, so Safari is failing. But I am exasperated at runarounds when trying to set up this Firefox account. I used the emailed verification code and seemed to get in, but got the red-box message "This account... administrator... error." I cannot tell whether the site is letting me use it normally, but I think not. I just spent an hour in help forums. Geesh, tech complexity has mushroomed since my LAN work in the 90s, and you volunteers get to cope with inarticulate queries like mine! Upload is failing of jpg screen shot that has been made anonymous. Help?
