For some silly reason when I changed my email password Thunderbird cannot connect to server either setup password or user incorrect. I am so sad because I love Thunderbird. I have tried everything I can think of. I chatted with Optimum and they said I needed to contact you. When I try to ping my server it just times out. My servers are pop.suddenlink.net and smtp.suddenlink.net. what could be wrong?

See the attached screenshot. The light theme shot is from your main download page that shows how my cards are supposed to look, and how they USED to look before this update.

The dark screenshot on the right is now my message cards look now. They are OBNOXIOUSLY HUGE FOR NO REASON. They take up way to much sense and are physically causing me PAIN to have to visually parse.

I cannot stress enough, how much this change is affecting me. I am IRATE over this.

Please. For the love of GOD. Tell me there is a way to either fix this, or easily revert to my previous version. I am not on-board with this change at all and I will 100% go postal if I have to be stuck with this shit. I checked every nook and cranny and cannot find a way to adjust this, and from what I can tell, downgrading is neigh impossible.

If I delete an account, will old emails remain in the local folders?

I have switched to a new internet provider and have set up new Thunderbird POP accounts with the new provider. I have not yet canceled the old internet provider; both are currently active. The attached screen shot shows four accounts. The first two are for the older provider and the second two are for the new provider. All four accounts are POP.

Q1: Are the local folders that you see associated only with the old provider?

Q2: If I delete the old accounts, will all the emails disappear from the local folders?

Q3: If yes, how do I create a new set of local folders associated with the new accounts? I don't see an option to recreate "Local Folders."

I accidentally deleted an email account through Tools- Account Settings - Account Actions - Remove Account.

Is it possible to restore this account and its associated sub-folders.

I have installed Thunderbird on a separate PC and restored my latest backup, which unfortunately is 4 months old, meaning that I am missing 4 months worth of emails.

Might it be possible to link to files/folders containing my messages prior to the removal, perhaps by recreating the email account or might there be some other method in which I could achieve this.

Any thoughts you might have would be VERY welcome.

Despite checking my spam/junk folder and ensuring that my email address is correct, the invitation does not appear in my inbox.

When cox no longer serviced my emails, Thunderbird stopped filling my inbox, i.e., After the tranfer to Yahoo, there were no further emails coming into my Thunderbird email listings. My name is Jasper. I've downloaded Thunderbird and linked my gmail account to it and I'm at the point where I'm ready to delete emails from my gmail account. However, I weary that I've done something wrong, not followed the instructions properly and when I proceed with deleting my emails I may lose them permanently. Hello, I have recieve a message from Microsoft requesting a change in authentication method to access the Thunderbird e-mail box. I can makert the change for the Server settings from "normal password" to "OAuth2". Howver when I try to do the same change for the Outgoing server, there is no "OAuth2" in the list. So, for the moment, I keep the "normal password". Could you help . Additional information : the outlook name that I use is "Outlook.com(Microsfort) - stmp-mail.outlook.com (Défaut)". Regards Michel

Since Outlook have stopped us from using a number of email addresses I am looking to move elsewhere. I have always used live.com and not the app version of outlook. I have been using it for maybe 10 years or something so have a huge amount of email history. I send and receive emails from a number of business and personal accounts and like to manage everything in one place. If I move over to TB am I able to import everything over from live.com and start here with all my folders and emails the way they were before?

Keyboard Shortcuts for Zoom Not Working in TB 115

When I open a message in my TB 115 Inbox, and wish to zoom in or out on the message using the keyboard commands for Zoom (Command+Plus, Command-Minus, Command-0), nothing happens.

I am running TB 115.3.1. My OS is Mac OS Monterey, 12.7.3

I have restarted TB 115 in Troubleshoot Mode, and the shortcuts still do not work. I have manually disabled all add-ons, and this has made no difference, either.

The only thing that works for zooming in or out on an email is to first use the drop-down menu for View -> Zoom. Then the Zoom keyboard shortcuts do work for that specific email. With each different email, the keyboard shortcuts for Zoom do not work, unless I first use the drop-down menu commands.

How do I get the keyboard shortcuts for Zoom to work without having to first use the drop-down menu?
