This issue is happening with every newly installed add-on, but not with add-ons installed on or before Aug 3, 2024. The add-ons are installed via addons.mozilla.org. To rule out the possibility that it's happening only with specific add-ons, I also installed one of the random recommendations on that page, Augmented Steam which has 54,248 users, and it happens with that one as well.

I'll click Enable, but the prompt appears every time I restart Firefox.

What I've tried (with a restart after each attempt):

• Clear the startup cache
• Delete extensions.json
• Delete compatibility.ini
• Via about:config deleted extensions.databaseSchema and extensions.getAddons.databaseSchema
• Excluded Add-ons from syncing

I've noticed the following in extensions.json for each of the recent add-ons after restart:

• syncGUID changes to presumably random new value
• active changes from true to false
• userDisabled changes from false to true
• seen changes from true to false

I am trying to change the setting for default apps and it is grayed out (can't change it). This is the only app that I can't change and I want to know why. Redmi note 8 pro, android 11. (Sorry if this is not the right place or it has been asked before, it is my first time needing support)

Hi. I cannot use stripe payments. I am using FF vLatest and have added it to the popup blocker exception list and every other exception list I can find. I have done this for http://stripe.com and for whatever website is trying to use stripe. No stripe payments ever work and I always get the same error attached. I have tried another browser and it works. How can I find out at least what is blocking the payments so I can disable it?

I have 2 laptops, one for work and one personally. I was looking to set-up firefox on my personal laptop as well but noticed I cannot open developer console on a specific element by pressing 'q' anymore after right clicking.

This is a significant feature and I would like to keep using it. Is it possible to enable this feature on my personal computer as well? Since it is still enabled on my work device.

I use Greek letters Omega (Ω) and mu (μ) in electronics discussion, where the Greek Omega (Ω) is the symbol for "ohms" of electrical resistance to the flow of current, and Greek mu (μ) stands in for "micro" or millionths of an ampere of current (1μA is 1/1000,000th of an ampere of current flow).

I sent an email to others and my email account on which I use Thunderbird Mail (version 115.13.0 on Linux Mint). I artfully spelled in all caps the word "Communicator," using the Ω sign in the place of "O" and the μ sign in the place of a "U." I received the word with this spelling: "C?MM?NICATOR"

Checking in Firefox on my Gmail account's Sent folder, I found the Greek letters in good order. Firefox can use UTF-8 encoding.

I found a solved thread on the Stack Exchange. Look under Tools • Options, as it is in Windows, but in Linux that's Edit • Preferences • Display. I have neither Options nor Preferences in this version of Thunderbird, nor can I find anything about setting encoding in Edit • Settings. I should set encoding from Western to UTF-8 on both incoming and outgoing mail to see foreign characters.

Some info about my installations of Firefox and Thunderbird here: In order to not lose my profile when I need to reinstall Linux for whatever reason, I have both Profiles stored on an outboard disk that is treated as a permanent disk on the system. This move also gives the profiles room to expand as needed

This is a new Dell Precision 3260 with Windows 11 and a 1st time install of Thunderbird 128.1.1esr (64-bit)

By default Write, Reply, Forward are missing which may or may not be correct.

However the "View"->"Toolbars" ->"Customize" page shows all the buttons available but when any one is selected it cannot be dragged or saved, it's as if the customize option has been disabled.

Also the blue Save icon is always greyed-out.

I want to turn off the hover preview feature. First I went in settings, but that disabled only the thumbnail (browser.tabs.hoverPreview.showThumbnails in about:config is set to false and saved). Then I went in about:config and manually set browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled to false as well, that disables the unwanted feature completely.

But every time I restart the browser it's turned back to true (just hover.Preview.enabled, not hover.Preview.showThumbnails). Can I save my settings? It's annoying that I can't opt out.

I want to add the Print command to my Thunderbird toolbar. I right-clicked on the toolbar and clicked on "Customize." I chose the Print button and saved, but it's still not on my toolbar. It says "available for mail space only." I have no idea what that means.

It used to be less complicated.

I have been a Thunderbird user for many years, and the default configuration (View) for the Message List Pane that I've always had is just what I want (Screeenshot 1).

I've had this on Windows (10, 11) on multiple machines, and on macOS. A nice, compact listing (ignore bold; that's just unread messages).

Now I've installed on a new Windows 11 machine, and for this machine I get a very different Message List Pane that I do not like (Screenshot 2). Much more open space, takes up much more room.

All the Account Settings seem to be the same on this machine and the others, including view density, etc.

How can I fix this?

Can I stop the popup warning about sending emails to group with all emails in the TO: field. I've been communicating this way with an open email list for decades, and the popup is very annoying.

When you have multiple (2) accounts with previous accounts, the passwords are many. I can not get logged in as the passwords I use are not working. My account does work on my Windows 10 and I am on a Mac mini. I am working with Optimum.net server. I know, today, there are network across the world with problems. MicroSoft, it seems. All of this does not help my situation to get my email running on Thunderbird. I have been working on this for three days now. Thanks for any comments or questions to help me. Thunderbird 128.1 ESR

I want to add a 'MOVE' button to the message display toolbar in addition to 'REPLY', 'JUNK' 'DELETE' etc. I right click on an empty area and nothing, I click on the MORE drop down and there is no option to add MOVE, I click on the "CUSTOMIZE" option in the drop down and it does not give me the option to add actions.

I go to VIEW on the menu bar > TOOLBARS > CUSTOMIZE and it gives options to add MOVE, I click on it and it outlines it in blue, but the SAVE button is greyed out.

Is there a way add a 'MOVE' button to the message display toolbar?

Hi, When receiving an email I want to reply by making a text comments in the received text, with clear identification of what is my new addition. E.g. by starting my lines with my initials and a new colour of my comments. I.e. An in-text-dialogue Is this possible to configure in Thunderbird? Br / Gunnar Sjolander

Hi, Most of the time when I search, the engine automatically used is Bing and not Google. This is despite setting Google as default.

Is this an annoying bug? Or am I doing something wrong?
