In last few days some links and web URL's get redirected to Facebook pages. For example www.vh1.com redirects to https://www.facebook.com/VH1/. I have cleared cache and cookies. Oops just testing Chrome as I type this and the same thing happens there, so not Firefox solely. Still, anyone any suggestions where to start to look?

Have a new 2024 macbook pro m3 max with 128GB internal memory, 8tb ssd, macos (meest recente update) , and glass fibre internet connection of 1gb up and 1gb down and have used the same router and same ISP.

i use firefox in combination with nordvpn and multicontainer add-on to open multiple tabs with on each tab/containter the same video stream of 720p/3mb. Used to work perfect until a few weeks ago. In the beginning there is no problem, but after a while stream start to stutter and freezes completely and i get a blackscreen;. Tried every quick fix on the internet, and even increased the cache. Also tried different machines and issue is the same on each macos device.

how can i fix this?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to view streaming live broadcasts in my country's public TV but the site detected some HDCP issue and asked me to use a HDCP-certified HDMI cable. Here is some quick info and what I had tried:

+ Besides privacy reasons, I am unable to share the website address, as viewing is limited to my country's IP addresses by the national broadcaster. + I have a dual-monitor set up to a Windows and a MacOS machine, both installed with Firefox 129.0.2 with add-ons being synced. + Viewing live videos on the same website in Windows Firefox (HDCP-certified cable) has no issue but not on MacOS Firefox (same HDCP-certified cable but different HDMI port on the monitor). + Switching around the different HDMI ports and cables yield the same outcome. + No issue on either Windows or MacOS when viewing recorded videos though. Only live streaming on MacOS is affected. + Tried disabling all add-ons and toggling DRM but to no avail. + Checked Widevine is latest version (4.10.2710.0).

Hello, When I tried to use ChatGPT on Firefox, It showed only white blank page. I can't type or do anything to ChatGPT. But in Chrome it works fine. I tried to reset Firefox but still be the same. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happened yesterday.

Hi there Everything working fine till today then the "curved ball" is sent down & TOTALLY confusing this 84year old - it tips me ring into confusion. Fine till today then  :poof" ANOTHER problem grrr. Wanting to try to look at alternatives to passwords then you throw this at me hell it makies me feel like chucking everything away as round & round we go. I am in confused limbo land now !!!!!! Well done Mozilla you have joined the army making life so problematic & that's when the nasties pounce with all th confusion. I am over it to be honest. ..Sad to say, I'm writing this in another browser because of this EXTREMELY annoying problem, that's been an unresolved issue for the better part of a year now.. After close to two decades of using Firefox, I'm actually considering moving to something else at this point. It's getting to be remarkably inconvenient using Firefox recently.

Why the hell has Firefox been using such remarkable amounts of system-side HDD for prolonged amounts of time? (Primarily the System.exe process) on a "Very" annoyingly basis?? It's clearly Firefox causing the issue, stimulating the "System" process. It slows down the entire computer in entirety, including just trying to load a basic webpage (such as Google's homepage) for God's sake!

This needs to be fixed, it has been going on for far, far too long now! Even on a very up-to-date PC, it takes 10 or more minutes to get the damn browser to work, while it's killing everything else on said computer due to very, excessively, System HDD usage, without the ability to load a single page, or file, folder and etc...thus ruining the purpose of a 'browser' and the entire computer as well.

The 'System.exe' Overload needs to be fixed. I, and all of my customers are tired of using Firefox because if this. It's pushing people away from what 'use' to be a wonderful browser.

I know factually it isn't a virus issue, or otherwise.

Please, fix this issue before it drives away the majority of your users.

    Since Release 129.0.2 on 20 August, log in for MyState Bank online banking is not working correctly as it did previously and should. The log in uses the usual steps: customer number - password - security code texted to be entered. That used to log you in. Now it takes you back to the log in screen. If you repeat the whole process, it might log you in, or it might take you back to the log in screen again. It does eventually log you in if you keep trying. Four times is the most so far. Log in still works as previously on other browsers. Just bloody annoying.

Every time I use the browser, I am delayed by : p.typekit.net for a little while before I get results. Why? Can this be removed from the search or browser? I can use a book mark and I get the same hang up on p.typekit.net EVERY time. It slows the browser quite a bit. I have used Firefox for over a decade and would like to keep using it. If you can't fix or can direct me how to fix I need to change browsers because the browser lag is getting stupid. Please help.

This app has no properties and it is being applied to a deleted desktop, I have bought three computers in the last six month and I returned them all because of Edge and google so i want hesitate to return this one also. I spend all om time trying to download apps. That do not work properly. I have no browser tools so I have no home icon or no other icons.

Restore gadget screen width to default 1/3 of screen, not 1/2. Gadgets are now too wide for easy reading, they were always 1/3 of the screen until recently. Did I inadvertently make that change, or was it part of some update?

This issue is happening with every newly installed add-on, but not with add-ons installed on or before Aug 3, 2024. The add-ons are installed via addons.mozilla.org. To rule out the possibility that it's happening only with specific add-ons, I also installed one of the random recommendations on that page, Augmented Steam which has 54,248 users, and it happens with that one as well.

I'll click Enable, but the prompt appears every time I restart Firefox.

What I've tried (with a restart after each attempt):

• Clear the startup cache
• Delete extensions.json
• Delete compatibility.ini
• Via about:config deleted extensions.databaseSchema and extensions.getAddons.databaseSchema
• Excluded Add-ons from syncing

I've noticed the following in extensions.json for each of the recent add-ons after restart:

• syncGUID changes to presumably random new value
• active changes from true to false
• userDisabled changes from false to true
• seen changes from true to false
