I have been using sandrawhitfield@comcast.net as user name for Firefox account. I want to delete that email because I'm leaving comcast ASAP. I read instruction that say add a new email name as a secondary account and then delete the primary one above. I entered whitfieldsandra@gmail.com. I got a message that said that account already exists. Since I didn't know that or remember any password for it, I entered whitfieldsandra@gmail.com and said "forgot password." I changed it Now Firefox won't let me in using the whitfieldsandra@gmail.com account. Would appreciate any help you can offer.

For the last several weeks (can't give an exact date, but it's been more than just a couple weeks, less than a couple months), both my husband and I have had issues loading videos in FF. We both have the latest version of FF. I went thru "Fix common audio and video issues" and did all those things, as well as trying to load the videos in troubleshooting mode. Nothing has helped (tho now that i cleared all the cache, i'm gonna have to log back into all those websites :( ). Nothing else is problematic. Our internet connection is fine. In fact, my husband has resorted to using MS browser to watch videos--they load fine in that browser. I have no other idea what to do. Searching your database for "youtube videos load slow" only resulted in a couple hits with no resolution. Hopefully this isn't the third. thanks

am running firefox 127.0.1 on a windows 11 desktop. Numerous sites that use a captcha to login fail. In other words, the captcha never loads and I cannot login to those sites. Such sites include teamfaderpro, Coursera, and bandcamp. All logins fail as the captcha is required to be passed prior to logging in, but the captcha never appears and so when I try to log in, nothing happens and I cannot login.

I have tried the above same sites on the Edge browser and have no such issue, the captcha shows and I can login.

Just FYI, the agent switcher setting change recommended by others previously is not suitable. When I tried that fix I was unable to access a considerable percentage of the internet due to some cloudflare issue, so the agent switcher setting is not an option. So far, I have tried all recommended settings to fix this issue and nothing has worked.

I am surprised no one else is having this issue.

Any help is appreciated, or at least inform google/mozilla about this issue as it has been ongoing (on and off) for me for many months. And yes, this problem is persistent for me at the moment, it remains despite rebooting windows, despite clearing cookies and cache (which I have set to automatically delete when exiting firefox).

Hello, I use Duck Duck Go as a default search engine, with Google and others as alternatives. Since I switched my compter, Firefox resets the default engine back to ebay, which cannot be deleted in the list and also shows up in the address bar. Could you please tell me how to get rid of it? When I used to take screenshots, they would be automatically named with the date, time, and part of the text captured regardless of language. A few days ago and with no reason I can discern, it now saves any non-English screenshots with something like this "Screenshot 2024-06-23 a[...].png" instead of "Screenshot 2024-06-22 at 08-02-28 Politics Policy Polit[...].png" (usual for English text and what I used to get with all languages).

Which means I have to manually rename screenshots. Does anyone know how I can fix this because I am working on a project with lots of screenshots for topics from different languages?

Running 127.0.1 (64-bit) on EndeavourOS, KDE Plasma, using Wayland. I've had severe crash issues and when troubleshooting I noticed this

Error: Failed to open Wayland display, fallback to X11. WAYLAND_DISPLAY='wayland-0' DISPLAY=':1'

pops up every time I start Firefox via terminal. Why wouldn't Firefox be able to open a Wayland display? Trying to force it with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 firefox doesn't do anything. I get the same error message.

Lately YouTube playing videos have been playing super fast or skipping straight to the end. I mean, they are horribly fast.

Things to know:

• I am posting here because I can't determine whether browsers may have settings unique to them that I need to change. This also happens in Chrome, but not Edge.
• I was recently forced to upgrade to Windows 11 - I can't say this issue happened exactly at that time, but fairly recently after the upgrade. I am running Windows 11 Pro.
• This does NOT happen when playing in a private browser window, either Firefox or Chrome.
• Having the Mozilla VPN on or off has no effect.
• I am sure the playback speed is set to normal. I have tried changing the playback speed to anything but normal and then back to normal and the current video runs correctly UNTIL I play the next video.
• This does not happen with Vimeo.
• It does not happen in FF for Android.

Any questions, thoughts, or advice would be appreciated.

In my experience with the TF2 Wiki page, clicking an audio file link would open a new tab where I can play the file. Since I've moved to firefox, I can no longer do this. Instead, the file downloads. Is there a way to change this? I saw in another post that you have to change the flag media.play-stand-alone to true but it was already true.

Copying text with the latest version of Firefox 127.0.1 (64-bit) does not catch all lines of a page and its text the marking of these lines are ignored the same page text works if using Chrome

Those marked grey (in attached file) are the only that are captured as all the rests are left out even if they was intended to be marked .

how are shortcuts created on my "new tab" home page in firefox browser. I used to be able to create the shortcuts I wanted, not random shortcuts that I might have visited once. Now shortcuts appear that I don't want. I know I can remove them by dismissing them but I should not get them in the first place. Please help.

When im starting my computer, suddenly this program with old firefox logo auto starting on windows taskbar, i cant open(maximize) it....when i hover to that old firefox logo, it just shows random text......

If i'm opening task manager, that program or something is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AlphaPress under the name update.exe.....i alrd close that program, delete that, and running malwarebytes, but didnt find any threat.....If u can reassure me that it wasnt dangerous malware or anything....maybe some real firefox update?

I have in my laptop a external webcam a Logitech Webcam C930e. The webcam is a HD webcam with 1080p. But in Google Meet in Firefox I can only configure it at 720p but in Chrome I can configure it at 1080p. Why have that behavior?

Hi! I have more than one device for Audio connected to my laptop. Obviously the default device provide by laptop but also I have a Jabra Headset EVOLVE 20 SE MS and Jabra Speaker SPEAK 510 USB/ Bluetooth. Also my webcam Logitech C930e provide a microphone.

When I use Google Meet, in Chrome I can select on Meet Audio Device Select the different microphone or Speakers but in Firefox I can only select the Default System Speaker.

I would like to know how to change between my Audio Devices for the output or can switch between my different speakers.

When I search for a Hebrew-language video on Firefox the resulting link text overlaps with the English text “Translate this page” for all YouTube videos. I don’t want any page translated and my Firefox Translation settings include no languages. The overlap only occurs on YouTube video links. How can I get rid of the “Translate this page” text? Thanks.

I've been experiencing a problem in Firefox where, when I scroll, the incoming part of the page momentarily goes blank and then loads to normal. This issue becomes more pronounced on pages with a lot of elements. Also, this issue becomes more vivid in smaller screens compared to larger ones. It feels like the browser is taking time to paint the part of the page.

This issue only occurs in Firefox. I have tried this in Chrome and Safari.

Here's what I have already tried:

• Disabled hardware acceleration and WebGL.
• Disabled smooth scroll and auto-scroll.
• Opened Firefox in safe mode (troubleshoot mode).
• Confirmed that I have no extensions or add-ons installed.
• Reset Firefox.

Despite these attempts, the issue persists. This problem is affecting the usability of the website. How can I resolve this scrolling issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
