Hello one and all,

For the longest while, FF has been wasting a lot of my time by being non-responsive a lot. Is there anything I can do to eliminate the non-responsiveness?

The other problem that I have experience also on a regular basis when searching is waiting for Google to transfer info to FF.

Years ago, this wasn't the case. I am also hoping that a fix exists to speed up FF.

Thanks for any help I can get to put these two issues behind me.

I have a Mac with Sonoma. Somehow a while ago I ended up with Firefox ESR, which I was told that will not be supported after September.

I am a non-technical user. While I do have Safari and Chrome, I would prefer to continue using Firefox.

Could you please let me know the steps to execute to somehow switch from the ESR version to the current normal version without loosing settings, bookmarks or ending up with problems? Thanks in advance.

I get this sometimes when moving/backing up profile contents, even when the the eventual path of the moved contents will be shorter than the original.

I have a problematic profile, so I copied it's contents to another folder with a shorter title in the same directory, but I prevented from including the file in question.

In this particular situation, the file in question is an .html file opened in a session tab. I assume It's omission not going to be detrimental.

Has anyone seen this sort of thing occurring with files that directly affect profile operations? I'm wondering if that sort of thing might be contributing to my current recurring profile issues.

I'm writing a library that takes user submitted text and renders it in the browser, among other things.

The user may submit text that mixes lines of RTL and LTR text, and each line should be rendered in the appropriate alignment and direction.

To this end, I'm presenting text in paragraph html elements with unicode-bidi: plaintext which is intended for this behavior.

I am seeing a strange behavior where a line wrap in a single span of RTL text causes the second line to be rendered LTR. This only occurs in Firefox. I'm hoping to find a workaround or fix. Toggling the unicode-bidi attribute on the paragraph element fixes the issue, as does opening the developer console for me. Seems very erratic.

I am submitting text like this:

זוהי פסקה של טקסט. הנה קישור ראשון, זהו טקסט מילוי. הנה קישור שני, זהו טקסט מילוי. והנה קישור שלישי, זהו טקסט מילוי. Which is wrapping, and the wrapped portion is aligned left instead of right.

A particular app won't verify me. It says I need to go to settings on my browser and enable locations. I use Firefox with Windows 11. I have no idea what they are talking about or how to do that. Can anybody help? Thanks.

I had to uninstall firefox due to an error. I kept receiving an xulrunner error when I tried to open Firefox. I researched this and found that uninstalling the app fixed the issue. However, I have lost all of my saved passwords. Is there any way I can get them back?

I'm trying to set up Firefox on a new Windows 11 laptop and having issues.

First, I installed a couple of Add-ons and set them up, I use one to have a Home Page, and another for zoom percentage. And I went into each one and set them up as I want them. But when I closed FF and reopened it, they were gone, as if I didn't install them at all. And all the changes I made to the top part of the browser - icons and overall look - reverted back to what FF is "out of the box."

Also, on my old laptop, I went into about:config and changed the ui.textScaleFactor because the default FF top part is too wide for me. But when I went into it on the new laptop, and changed the number, nothing happened. On the old one, when you enter a different number and hit enter, the change is made immediately.

Also, I did make FF my default browser on the new laptop, at least I think I did. I clicked the link to do that, and it brought me to a window with a bunch of confusing extensions. I changed them all to Firefox, including E-Mail, and I don't even want FF being the default for E-mail. And I did click the check on top and clicked "Make FF the default browser." But when I open FF, I keep getting asked if I want to make FF my default browser and to pin it to the task bar. But it already is!

I should point out, that it's possible I downloaded FF twice, and may have installed it twice. But when I go to Install/uninstall files, just one is listed. And I only have one FF icon on my desktop.

So what is going on?

Hello. How can I post HTML code snippets in support.mozilla.org questions ? All HTML code is rendered and none of the usual markdown (``` etc.) works.

At first I thought it was Facebooks issue but when I shared using Edge or Opera browser the share dialog DOES have a share button at the bottom of the share pop up dialog. Using Firefox, for what ever reason, it's cut off at the bottom so I have no way to share and have to copy the link and walk it over to Facebook or wherever to share anything. See the images below...

Hello. I am not familiar with this end to end encryption that Facebook now does for Messenger but now when I try to use Video Calling/Chat it tells me it is not supported by my browser, Firefox. I have never had any problems with it before. Is there a fix? Thanks

Couple of days ago I could not start up Mozilla Firefox due to a corrupted file. Naturally, I was immediately worried about my bookmarks, extensions, browse history...

In the end I re-installed Mozilla Firefox -without removing my old folders on C-drive and in AppData- and was able to recover my old bookmarks and extensions just fine.

However, for my old browse history I am not so sure. I have not found a way to restore those.

Could someone help?
