I have been using Thunderbird for some time and it has served me well. I used it to manage my gmail accounts with encryption and so on.

Recently I have deleted one of my gmail accounts and when I launch it Thunderbird asks me to log in to that account. "Sign in to continue to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" And I am supposed to enter my email.

I have checked the account settings: the old account (let's call it old@gmail.com) is no longer there. I have also removed the outgoing SMTP server for the old account.

I do not know how to stop the app from asking me to log in to an nonexistent account.

Notifications/New emails not popping up on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.

I've tried everything including checking Focus Do not disturb is off, all settings in Firefox and Outlook are turned on to recieve notofictions but still nothing.

I'm on a new Mac Studio, but also found that it had started to not show notifications on the older iMac.

I am using an older MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6, for which the latest Firefox is 115.12.0ser (64-bit). It has always been working like a champ, but a few weeks ago, individual YouTube video pages look very odd. Usually the related recommended videos are along the right edge in one row, and below the default video window is the title, description, and then the comments.

The problem I have is that these two components became transposed, and if the video is displayed as full screen, the page can be pushed upwards to show the title etc got squashed below the video window, with the recommended videos still in a grid below it. I hope the included pictures are sufficient to illustrate the issue.

Another computer, an iMac running El Capitan 10.11.6, and Firefox 78.15.0ser owned by a family member, does not show this odd phenomenon. I must say I am quite intrigued by this, and would greatly appreciate any help my fellow members can offer.

I have an issue that's been annoying the crap out of me and I haven't been able to find a solution. I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I want to drag an image from one tab into the upload field in another tab. This works fine in other browsers, but not in Firefox.

For example, I'm posting an item on Craigslist. I have pictures on the item in Google Photos. I would like to drag the image from the tab showing Google Photos to the upload field in my Craigslist post, but when I do, nothing happens.

I get the same behavior regardless of what web page I'm dragging the image from or what website I'm trying to upload to.

I am unable to read or reply to emails. And when I close the email it shows it as still unread. I have tech support with Best Buy Geek Squad. They were unable to help, but said there was a glitch with the email program. Also is there a phone # I can call. I work from home and my email is my lifeline. Please help!

My wife discovered today that all email had disappeared from her inbox! She doesn't know how or why and neither do I. She is running Thunderbird 1.15 under Windows 7. I have already tried the Windows restore function on the INBOX and it didn't work. Tried a number of other methods and none worked. In looking around the Thunderbird directory and noticed a bunch of files named nstmp-1, 2 3 and 4. nstmp-4 has this morning date-time on it and viewing it in an editor it seems to be a backup of the INBOX. Is this true, and can it be used to rebuild her INBOX.

Unable to export bookmarks file. When I go to 'Manage Bk Mks' it is blank and states 'no items' (see screenshot) but I have all my bookmarks in the in the usual left hand pane. I've asked this question before and received no response. Can anyone help please?

I use the android version of your email app. I love it, easy to use and almost use the "Unified" Inbox all the time.

It would be nice to nice to have this facility for any type of account.

I have been using [edited] @comcast.net as user name for Firefox account. I want to delete that email because I'm leaving comcast ASAP. I read instruction that say add a new email name as a secondary account and then delete the primary one above. I entered [edited[ @gmail.com. I got a message that said that account already exists. Since I didn't know that or remember any password for it, I entered [edited] @gmail.com and said "forgot password." I changed it Now Firefox won't let me in using the [edited] @gmail.com account. Would appreciate any help you can offer.

The information is totally useless and interrupts my work.

How can I get rid of this junk.

If I can't, then after many years of Firefox, I switch to another browser as my default.

I have a notice in the bottom right of my Thunderbird screen stating 103mb of 110mb IMAP total (93%) has been used.

I presume there will be consequences should this reach 100%!

My mail server is showing no issues of quotas being reached.

Is this an issue that relates to Thunderbird quotas?

Can anyone advise how I can reduce the 103mb total that is being shown?

I have just altered my Hotmail settings in Thunderbird to take account of the Microsoft OAuth2 requirements. I can still send from Hotmail but cannot receive (download) incoming messages.

When I open Thunderbird, or check for email, I see the text "******@hotmail.com: Host contacted, sending login information......." at the bottom but no messages are downloaded, and eventually the text disappears (I know there are messages waiting as I can see them using the Outlook app)

My server settings are; Server type : POP Mail Server Server name: pop-mail.outlook.com Port: 995 User name: ******@hotmail.com Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2

I have tried restarting both my PC (Windows 10) and Thunderbird, but the problem persists. Help please!

I have always kept old emails in the LOCAL folders for security reasons not having all my info on a server somewhere that could be comprimized/stolen/scammed. I am now on Yahoo and have heard security is not the best so I am not sure I want to put all these files on their servers. Now, however, as my PC is getting old I am afraid it could crash, I assume I would loose all those emails-correct?. If I go into my TB Profile and find the Mail/Local Folder I can copy and paste it to a flash drive. Would that be the recommended way to back up? If I did this process a month from now would it, like a file, ask me to overwrite what is already there and add anything new? If my PC did crash, could I do the reverse and copy and paste that flash drive Local folder into my new TB profile? Thank You.
