Thunderbird is set to flag a message as unread only after 10 sec of reading. Sometimes I delete a message before this time and Thunderbird still notify me that there are unread message also if the inbox has not unread message. The issue will persist if I don't restart Thunderbird or if I don't find that deleted message and set it to read.

Only Thunderbird gives this issue, other email client don't notify me about unread message if i delete a message but still be flagged as unread.

Any solution to have unread notification only for inbox? Thanks.

Are there no Add-ons/Extensions any more (115 and beyond) that support any kind of sync with Google/Yahoo/Outlook contacts? Not sure MS Outlook even supports such a thing any more, some kind of vulns in the CardDAV protocol (worked great in 2005-10 era)?

Also, like to report major bugs in the CSV import mechanism, the VCF import got everything right, but the CSV import interface is beyond kludgey; essentially put the columns in the wrong places, and the "dropdowns" had only one value, that the import routine had decided I was constrained to. I would suggest you drop it from the product unless it can be made a bit more "professional" than a junior school computer science project.

I have moved from Mailbird to Thunderbird, a pat on my back I am really satisfied. I use POP3 so all my emails are downloaded to my computer. I keep two years of incoming and sent emails in Local Folders as follows: email account 1 year 2023 > Folders and subfolders organized per topic year 2022 > Folders and subfolders organized per topic The same for three other accounts. These occupy a lot of disk space, so I want to archive each email account with its folders and subfolders and move them to an external drive. Is this possible with Thunderbird? Running W10 on PC, no problems on other programs, on TB for at least 10 yrs. For past week TB has taken up to 15 seconds to delete or send some messages (not all). I thought this might be 3,500 messages in Sent folder so deleted oldest half of these. No difference, then I noticed that TB has deleted all my sent messages since May this year. Now it won't put my sent messages into the sent folder, they just disappear, and TB still delays on deleting or sending. Have tried repair button on inbox and sentbox, no difference. My wife remains on 115.14.0 without problems (so far!) I have just seen that v.128 has self-installed, could this be the problem?

With Thunderbird 128.1.0esr for Linux, no longer able to drag/drop images inline. Instead of the image being embedded, it is now inserted as a link to the file on the local hard drive, which of course is useless to the recipient and not the expected behavior at all.

At one time I had a version of Thunderbird that would allow me to bring in my Outlook emails. Now, I can't find it. And when I try to use version 102 or 115 it keeps updating to 128.1. Mozilla thinks I'm on some kind of release channel - whatever that is! So, am I no longer going to be able to get those Outlook emails? Thanks.

Yesterday was sending and receiving email to Microsoft forum. Today Thunderbird can't do either. Tbird on on Linux mint 17.3. Never had this problem before. Lost almost all Inbox entries and Sent files. and more in the left panel. Tbird version 60.6.1 64 bit. Email mail contacts OK. What should I do? Please help

Has Mozilla "Updated" its' Thunderbird mail client to fulfill Microsoft's new security login? Do I need to configure the mail client? Thank You for your Time in this matter!

I have Thunderbird set up to download email from my ISP to an inbox under that account. A few days ago I saw that when I deleted a message it did not go the the Trash folder. When I look at the properties of that folder it shows a blank for location and while the message is deleted from the inbox it disappears. I do not know how that location was lost or how to restore it to it's previous value.

I've encountered this for years and it's upset me so much I'm sending you guys a message.

Here's what's happening: 1) I boot up Firefox (takes 2 seconds) 2) I quickly scan your stories (Some of your stories are interesting) takes 2 seconds 3) I click a bookmark then think "wait, i'm curious about that story" so i hit back 4) ALL OF THE STORIES ARE REFRESHED and the story is just completely gone

Happens every few weeks or so but it's so frustrating

This is something that I've noticed for a while, but why is it that whenever I go to Twitch and try to open a live stream, it always comes out muted? This does not happen if I use Twitch on other browsers, or on my phone.

I have a PC. Today, Bing took over my Firefox. I have to go through Bing to get Firefox. I don't want that. I just want to use Firefox.

Note that I use two web browsers. Google Chrome (default) and Mozilla Firefox. No others. I don't want Bing.

I purged Bing from Chrome by making Chrome my default, which it has been. I use Firefox some of the time. I don't want to get to Firefox by going through Bing. Microsoft has enough domination.

As of today, my inbox has 7,563 emails, but none of them are displayed in the messages pane. I can see them if I go to All Mail, but I'd like to be able to use my inbox.

UPDATE SINCE THERE DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE A WAY TO DELETE THIS POST - I CLICKED "REPAIR" AND IT'S NOW FIXED.
