Hi folks

When viewing some [not 'all'] PDFs I've created via T'bird's inbult PDF preview on my W10 Desktop PC an annoying black blob in the shape of a car key now appears on the PDF's pages from page 2 onwards. When viewing the same file via an iOS device or inside Dropbox there is no black blob. Also, when viewing the same file via the full Adobe Acrobat APP on my W10 Desktop PC there is no black blob. This black key-shape blob only shows inside T'bird's inbuilt PDF previewer.

I know how to change the preview function inside Tbird to instead open any PDF in Acrobat, but as I quite like the T'bird PDF preview feature does anyone know why these black keys are appearing and how to get rid of them?

Further info: The only PDFs with the black blobs are those created via my W10 Desktop PC's PowerPoint APP's "Save as Adobe PDF" function. There is no such black blob on the PowerPoint pages themselves, and again no blobs appear when viewing the new PDF on any iOS device or within Dropbox. Additonally, and since writing the above lines, I have emailed the PDF to a friend who has opened it on his W10 Laptop and there are NO [again, NONE] black blobs on his screen [he uses Outlook as his email handler]. Thus, I feel certain the problem is within T'bird's PDF preview code.

Is there any fix for this?

I have a company email account on Office 365. I have to use it and I want to use Thunderbird for it. The account has sso that uses okta.

Thunderbird correctly identifies that the account is available on outlook.office365.com and pops up a window to complete the oauth flow. The oauth window does not display anything. If I copy the url from the window to my browser then I can complete the oauth flow easily. It fails when it ends with a "localhost" url which thunderbird presumably intercepts.

I cannot paste the final URL into thunderbird. I am thus unable to complete the oauth flow.

A few days ago I started having an issue where Youtube videos 1440p and up would frequently skip ahead, stutter or freeze and play audio only. They also stopped loading as quickly as they had before. This issue only happens in Firefox as when I watch Youtube on Chrome everything is fine. I've tried disabling extensions to no effect. Is this a known issue or does anyone have suggestions?

Hello, I would be grateful for help onm the two following problems in Thunderbird. 1. When someone sends me a web page link, I click on it and get the error message 0x80070057. I have tried the suggested solutions in regedit but it does not work. 2. When I buy something on ebay they send me an email confirmation with a picture of the item purchased. When I go to print it the image disappears.

I am losing what hair that I have left as I am a senior citizen.

I want my context menu in Firefox for Android to be as clean as possible. But there are annoying actions in it: Search in Edge and "Create Note" that runs Microsoft Edge and Microsoft OneDrive respectively. I need these apps from time to time so I don't want to uninstall them. Is there a way to turn off this integration between Firefox and Microsoft-related apps?

Hi Lots of my files on Mac have converted to Firefox (which I don't use) and will not open either in Mac, Adobe or Firefox. They are showing in my icloud drive but I cannot open them. And I REALLY need them as they are the source files for a website. I have no idea why this has happened, but would love some advice on how to fix it. I don't ever intend to use Firefox so not quite sure how it happened. Many thanks

As of Supernova update it would seem, thunderbird is unable to fetch favicons for newly added feeds. They will always display a globe favicon, instead of the respectful favicons.

Worse still, it would seem like removing a feed from the folder doesnt revert it to the folder favicon, but rather keeps the globe!

is there a way to force thunderbird to fetch relevant favicons, or add ones manually?

Is there any reason why the menu item text in the URL popup menu is so spaced out in FF 115 and 125?

It's the only menu I've found like that.

See attached screenshots. The one on the left is FF 115, and the one on the right is FF 88 (more normal).

Is there a way to fix this?

And also remove that "Add" menu item at the bottom?

I am now using Outlook (imap). When I try to permanently delete a bunch of emails it deletes them and then I get a synchronizing inbox bar and the 1,000 or so emails come right back into my inbox. How do I avoid this if I am using Thunderbird?

Example: Have 9600 emails delete 2500 and notifies me that they will be permanently deleted but they never are. They just return a few minutes later. Thanks

Somehow, the "auto-BCC" feature in one of my Thunderbird accounts has been activated. How can I disable that? When I open an email now (in my 'in-box'), it automatically fills in "To" and "From" fields. I no longer get my 'in-message' toolbar in the upper right-hand corner of the message window (tab). I also no longer get the notification that "Thunderbird has blocked remote content..." How can I restore this without deleting and rebuilding the account? I'm sure this was mistakenly activated but it needs to go away!!!

On a further note, I have found that if I move a message from my in-box to ANY other folder, I get the normal message view, with all the correct toolbars and indications and controls! Attached are the correct and incorrect screenshot of the same message, just in different folders.

Hi All,

I would like to change the url border color when it has the focus to blue.

The code below works, except when you press Escape.

After hitting Escape, the urlbar still has the focus but its border changes back to gray. It should remain blue.

I would also like to remove the box-shadow after pressing Escape, when the urlbar is not expanded (to mimic the behavior of FF 88).

The url and search input fields also do the same goofy thing Windows 10 does - the cursor stops blinking after 5 blinks and remains frozen. Any way to remove that behavior and keep the cursor blinking? If not, no big deal, the other stuff above is more important.

Any code suggestions to get that behavior are welcome!

115.05 when I started.

I typically open Thunderbird about once a month, download my emails from a hosted website, do some clean up, write some emails, close Thunderbird, and do the same about a month later.

Today I opened Thunderbird, saw that it was downloading around 400 emails, and waited patiently, as per usual. When done, however, none of them showed up in the main window. The latest email did not change, was from around a month ago. When I ask Thunderbird to Get Messages it says there are no new emails to download.

Also, I had previously opened emails in the top bar from the last time I had opened Thunderbird, but they were blank, no title and no content. (See screenshot #2)

I restarted Thunderbird several times, no change.

I then upgraded to 115.10, hoping this might fix the issue, but it has not.

Since restarting Thunderbird, 2 new emails have come in and are showing correctly, but none of the initial 400 emails downloaded today are showing anywhere. (See attached screenshot #1)

I repaired the Inbox folder, no help. I renamed the "Inbox.msf" file and had Thunderbird rebuild it, no help. I renamed the "global-messages-db.sqlite" file and had Thunderbird rebuild it, no help.

All of the initial batch of 400 emails - and the emails I had previously opened - just disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea what to do here?

I've always had my firefox checkmark the "Always ask you where to save files" box. I started to download a file from Envato elements, and firefox asked me where I wanted to put it, so I pointed it to a dropbox folder on my finder level (I'm on a Mac computer). Some pop up showed up that said it didnt like the directory so I hit ok. Then I tried to download again to another location but now firefox won't ask me where i want to download the file to. And instead it just populates a file in the downloads folder called "7gp69ST8.mp4.part" or something similar. If I uncheck "Always ask you where to save files", the whole file downloads just fine to the downloads folder but I dont want that setting, I want the check mark ON so that it asks me each time where to save the file to. But its not asking me any more. So I hit quit on firefox and came back in and the issue persisted. I cleared the cookies and the issue persisted. Please help me fix this.

you dont need a screenshot. its reral simple i am tired of nothing working right. i have added multiple wallets on my phantom app but it doesnt show up on my phantom wallet on my laptop. i have been hitting check for updates for 2 hours. why wont it update. and if i have to put in a 24 word secret phrase evertime i want to update my extension. then good bye firefox. then why have a check fofr updates button.
