YouTube all of a sudden started to slow down and only be able to load videos fast enough in 360p resolution, I tried watching YouTube on Microsoft edge and YouTube handled 1080p easily there, I have cleared the cash and made sure my Firefox and Windows are up to date and still the issue persists.

this only seams to occur on YouTube as amazon prime and speed test works without issues

Downloading emails became grindingly slow and so I re-installed Firefox only to find that years of saved emails across many many folders, as well as contact addresses have vanished.

Greetings, Mozilla Community I'm reaching out to you to ask for help with a problem I'm having with Mozilla Firefox that comes up when I try to visit https://theglobaltranslators.com/. It won't load, and I'm not sure if that's because of a bug in the website, a browser issue, or something else entirely.

Does anyone else have knowledge of this problem or recommendations for a fix? I've attempted removing addons and cleaning the cache in my browser, but the issue still exists.

I would be grateful for any advice or ideas on improving the usability of the website. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Having an issue where Youtube live streams works for around 30 seconds and then "Something went wrong" error happens and the stream stops. I've tried Troubleshooting Mode and it continues to happen.

Oddly, using a private browsing window fixes it. I figured that may mean that I should clear my cache/cookies but that didn't fix it for normal browsing. From my testing it doesn't appear to be extension related because I've tried a private browsing session with all of my extensions allowed in private and the stream was steady.

Disabling Hardware Acceleration didn't do it either.

I'm on Windows 10. Firefox Version - 128.0.3 Build ID - 20240725162350

If there are any other steps I can take to troubleshoot, please let me know.

Lately I am unable to log on to pay bills on Firefox with error message that my user name or password isn't recognized, but I can easily log in on a different browser, like Google. I am NOT using a VPN! It doesn't do it for every credit card, maybe 3 out of 5. I have not changed any settings, and this started about 2 months ago. HELP!

For weeks now I have been unable to sign into Microsoft.com to get support help through chat or receive a call back. These can only be achieved by signing in. The only Microsoft product that I can use is my Outlook mail app, which I have been able to sign into. But this is not connected with Mozilla Firefox. There is no other way that I know of to contact Microsoft. I've tried signing in on Microsoft Edge as well, I get an error message there as well. Since this problem started with trying to sign in on Mozilla Firefox, I assume this is where the issue was created. If I cannot sign into Microsoft.com, I am locked out of getting any help resolving this issue. There is no other way to reach Microsoft. The phone number they has no live person, only a robot which will answer questions only and then hang up.

Can someone here at Mozilla, please help me????

Since doing an update on the Firefox browser, I am unable to access one specific website that had no issues prior. The website that is no longer available to open in Firefox is owned/managed by an organization outside of the USA. After 3 or 4 days of attempting to open this specific website, I launched a Google browser and had no trouble opening the website. I am hoping that Mozilla is not going to the culture of suppressing religious freedoms by deciding which websites can and can not be accessed on that basis.

The fucking forced dark mode has return despite the previous fix layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override = 1 in about:config fixing it for years. This and the current replacement fixes don't save. I want a solution for PERMANENT light mode (black text on white background) for ALL menus, pop-ups, dropdown menus and hover over tab info.

And don't tell me to go search for a different theme I've already spent hours doing that and firefox has broken them only making some menus use the appropriate mode. On top of that I can't even pick an option to search for one that uses light mode I just have to go through each one and try it if I want to know which mode it uses that is NOT a solution to anything.

Replacement "fixes" for reference: ui.systemUsesDarkTheme won't even let me set to 0 only has true/false browser.theme.content-theme set to 1 browser.theme.toolbar-theme set to 1 (Why in the absolute hell these were added when a simple addition to preference setting wasn't is beyond me)

Very sorry for the aggressiveness but I am so very VERY tired of having to fight firefox on this preferance for years when their dark mode hurts my eyes.

For the past week, anything Google just refuses to load unless I clear my cache every few minutes. I open a new tab and type in a search and the tab does nothing. I try to open my gmail and the page won't load. And navigating the settings tab every few minutes is getting really annoying.

Hi, I have windows 10 desktop,,,, I use Microsoft Edge and Firefox but firefox is my default browser... I use Tagged and HI5 often.. My problem is ads on tagged and HI5 (Both are sister companies? I get ads but no way of blocking them I have just tried all kinds of adblockers on firefox just waste of time... But the worst thing is those ad's that tagged display all infected... I use Norton and Malwarebyts when I click on the ad's they both come on asking me to stay away all their ad's are infected... I have sent 5 emails to Tagged telling them what is going on but I had no reply at all negative or positive and they are infecting peoples computers or mobiles if they are not using Antivirus.... Ad's are always on when I use firefox but but when I use Microsoft Edge no ad's somehow but Microsoft Edge is much slower then Firefox,, when I click on to something it goes round and round and says Hang tight....What should I use on firefox to stop those Tagged ads..On tagged settings ads section has been unchecked but nothing stops them from popping up even the adblockers that I have...But only on firefox... I want to dismiss one shortcut out of the two rows of shortcuts on my homepage. When I left click on the three dots on the Google Translate shortcut, and then left click on dismiss, the shortcut blinks and remains.

Whenever I click a button on the keyboard, the CTRL+F function comes up on it's own. I had previously disabled it because it ruins all shortcuts on youtube and with tourettes, I often also get thrown around if I am reading long articles, because of misclicks.

Unfortunately I did the big mistake of updating, also with a tourettes-missclick, so my question is: 1) How do I remove the 'quick'-search function? I want the Ctrl+F bar to come up ONLY WHEN I CLICK ctrl+F, and I want it to go away again if I click ctrl+F again. I forget how to do it. 2) How do I remove all future update prompts? Given that it has been made so hard to configure firefox into something tolerable, I don't want to throw all my setup away with minor updates always thrown at me. It takes me a long time every time there's an update, I have to fix language and other stuff back again. It's just not worth it in time for me to use Firefox, if I have to make a setup so often. 3) Recommendations for the best version of Firefox to go back to and stay in for eternity, alternatively, browsers that does not change or add functions without first asking the user... (The answer is no, by the way, I don't want more new fancy functions)
