I first mentioned this in r/Firefox, and was asked to re-post here.

My FF just updated to 127.0.1 even though I have "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" and told it to wait. This was on a Windows 11 box. Everything seemed fine, but then one of my tabs crashed. I selected the reload tab option, at which point it informed me it could not load the tab because a background update had happened and I was now required to restart Firefox.

I'm not certain what version of FF I was on, I believe it was either 126 or 126.0.1.

Now, to be completely fair, I cannot with 100% certainty say that I clicked on the update later option. That said, as I _did not want to update then_, and I have put off the update before, it seems unlikely I would have made the mistake, but I wasn't recording everything I did so I can't play it back and prove it. My initial reaction was to associate it with the tab crashing somehow, as everything was working as expected right up until that moment.

Currently the taskbar icon only offers a few tasks in the context menu, such as open new tab, new window or private new window.

I understand that accessing about:config would allow me some other options, such as recently visited pages. And also allows me to remove those tasks.

I want to add the option to select which profile I open from that menu, instead of opening the default one, then selecting the correct profile in about:profiles that, in turn opens yet another window.

I tried adding a value "browser.taskbar.lists.profiles.enable" and several variations of that command. None worked.

Is there a way to add that option, so when I right-click the icon in the taskbar I can directly select the profile I want to launch?

When I visit U Tube and click on a video it never loads. I get the rotating circle but it never completes. If i click on the progress bar at the bottom a small window opens the video at that point, bur it never loads. I have removed all add ons, refreshed Firefox, rebooted the computer. It only happens on this computer. I run Firefox on two other computers and they work fine. I run windows 11, updated on a year old Dell Pavilion laptop with 32 mgs of ram

How can I get me original home page back?

Firefox is not sending any of the device details so unable to use Firefox with conditional access.

Details like "Managed" and "Join type" would be needed to be able to process it correctly.

Does Firefox support it? If not will it ever be supported or will we have to go back to Edge just so we can sign into Azure sites?

Hi, I use multiple FF profiles to help with multiple logins to MS365, as I have to switch between MS365 accounts for client work. Using multiple profiles keeps cookies separate. FF is my default browser in Windows 11. However, when I click on a link, FF ignores my open FF instance (opened with the default FF profile). Instead it reopens one of my other profiles from disk, and opens the link in a new tab in that profile. That's not what I want, of course - but I also cannot understand why it is ignoring an open active FF default profile browser instance, and reopening a closed one from disk. Does anyone know how I can control this? To avoid this behavior I have made Vivaldi my default browser to open new links. That is crazy.

my firefox keeps crashing when i click the attach files in my yahoo email. Its like it doesnt want to open to browse for the attachment or anytime it has to open another browser like file browser. here is the imfo that it gave me after the crash.

I like to enforce the following setting "Require device sign in to fill and mange passwords" in the mozilla.cfg but I couldn't find the setting in about:config.

Can anyone help?

When I visit chase.com on the current version of Firefox, the saved usernames do not come up when I click on the username field, but the saved passwords come up when I click on the password field. I believe the issue is likely from Chase's website, but it could also be a problem with, or at least involving, Firefox, so I decided to inform you of the issue, too.

Recently today I changed my firefox password, and successfully used my new password to login. Now I am unable to login successfully using what I believed to be my new password. A few minutes ago I was able to access gmail using my new password, but just now when I closed and reopened Firefox my password was not accepted.

Recently built a new box, installed Win10, upgraded to Win11, installed Firefox. In Firefox, I get audio with Youtube videos. But, in Facebook, Instagram and other sites, I get no audio at all. The sound icon doesn't have a slash in it. The audio just doesn't play. Seems like an HTML5 issue, but I'm no expert on that. I'm totally perplexed on this one. Checked the Windows Volume Mixer, checked everything I know to check, searched the issue and read of a very limited number of possible solutions, none of which helped me. Why would I get audio in Youtube videos, but not Facebook reels or videos? BTW, I don't have this issue in Brave. Any help appreciated!

Trying to recover from a hard drive crash. Had to buy a new desktop with Windows 11 Pro (looking to be a bad move). I downloaded/updated to Firefox 126.0 (maybe also looking to be a bad move).

Have my last "working" userChrome file (it took me weeks to perfect this to my needs).

I am looking for: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

but there is no "AppData" folder. And there is no existing userChrome.css file, anywhere!

Is the functionality I am looking for a thing of the past?

Is Firefox not completely supported by Windows 11?

If so, what is the last version of Firefox that will still support userChrome.css?

Hi everyone, I am using a ThinkPad with AMD Ryzen 7840u and the integrated radeon 780m gpu (Windows 11). Via a Lenovo docking I am connected to a screen with resolution 3440x1440.

Sometimes when using firefox, all browser windows suddenly go blank (white/black screen). It mostly appears when a video is playing (e.g. the website from framework laptop (https://frame.work/at/de/products/laptop13-diy-intel-ultra-1) causes the issue very reliable... In the screenshot attached this website was running on the right side of the screen.

I tried the different drivers, the official ones from Lenovo and the latest from AMD over several months now. The issue appears on both driver versions, sometimes more sometimes less. I also tried several troubleshooting methods like resetting firefox and so on...

When I do click into a blank browser window the window comes back to life. Sometimes I have to minimize and maximize all windows to make them viewable again.

Any ideas how to get rid of this behavior?
