Every time I use Firefox instead of saying United States at the bottom it's United Kingdom. How do I change this to show that I'm in the States rather than in the UK? I'm using the latest version for Windows 10 which is Version 111. There are sites that are blocked due to it erroneously showing that I'm in the UK not the US...

After using the browser and closing it, Firefox continues to run in the background and hangs in the task manager, despite the fact that the browser is not running. We have to manually terminate processes. Strange behavior!

I often visit slate.com, the online magazine. Sometimes, but only sometimes, in clicking on a link to a post I get a pop-up warning that I have chosen to open blank, from something that begins "moz-" and ends ":blank" with the choice to open or save (and always I click on cancel to get out of this). It happens only with slate, nowhere else, and again inconsistently. I don't know if I have done anything differently on these occasions.

Any thoughts? It's persisted over many months, during which time of course Firefox has updated many times, caches have been cleared, Window has rebooted, anti-virus and anti-spyware checks have run, CCleaner has run, you name it. To top that off, since it's inconsistent, I can't promise to upload a screen capture to show you! But it's always the same popup.

I'm on Firefox 111.01 in Windows/10. When I try to save passwords, a "logins.csv.tmp" of size zero is created. No logins.csv is created. I keep reasonably up to date on Firefox and I've been successful at saving the logins numerous times since 2021.

Not getting any sound from Firefox. All other applications are providing sound and so are other internet browsers, so the problem is purely Firefox. I had tried refreshing, but nothing is fixing the issue. Any suggestions?

I have several websites that will not remember my location. Grocery stores, for example.

I go there, and instead of seeing my local store ads, they show their info from there corporate location, in another state.

I've reported it to them, but it never gets fixed, even tho they know that some people don't recognize that, and make a shopping list, only to realize when they go to the store, the ad for their local store is completely different.

My theory is that, for whatever purpose, they want you to login, which is the only way to change location.

I have "remember my location' enabled

Is there is something else I can do?

On my Macbook Air running MacOS 13.3.1 Firefox has a nasty habit of crashing immediately on certain keypresses.

When skipping through YouTube videos or choosing address bar suggestions, it crashes if I use the cursor keys.

I've followed all the published troubleshooting guidelines (updates, Troubleshooting Mode, etc.) and it lead me here.

Any ideas?

When deleting emails in my Outlook account n one of the firefox tabs, if I click a little too fast it suddenly opens a new window with the next email in the list. I have firefox set to open tabs, not new windows. And I cant see any setting that should be making it open a new window when clicking delete. Its never done this before till recently and its very annoying.

There used to be an icon just to the right of the star (for creating a new bookmark) on the address bar that when clicked gave a drop-down bookmark menu. For some reason it disappeared and I cannot seem to get it back. All I have been able to do is go to settings => bookmarks to get a list of bookmarks, which, however, doesn't have the bookmarks organized into the sub-categories I once had. How can I get that icon back on the address bar? I don't want to add on a bookmark bar or tool bar.

Hello, today I wanted to replace the "about:newtab" background with a picture.

I've already tried a lot like creating an extension, and adding the chrome folder with "userChrome.css" or "userContent.css" but I haven't had any luck whatsoever.

Could you help me in any way?

My preferred way would be through an extension to share it with my friends.

How can I disable the extension group/ extension drop-down and go back the way it was and show all the extension at once like how it used to be? If not, can i know which version it was introduced so i can revert back accordingly? Thankyou

After the 111 update udemy just won't work (The course videos wont load ,the home page and the search all work) I downgraded to the old version (110) and it works ,but then i updated to 111 and the same issue came, And when i switch to another tab it goes loading .
