To start, I do receive most of my emails intact. However, there are the occasional email only partially appears. I see enough of it to know who it is from. As an example, I get a bill from xfinity and only what appears to be the graphic part shows up, but, the details of the body of the email do not appear. So I don't know what they want to tell me. All this is in regular Thunderbird. That being said, when I open Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode the full email is then visible. I have tried the reset everything and nothing seems to work. I have taken to only opening Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode as then I am assured of seeing the full emails, text and graphics. Maybe you can help me adjust something to fix this problem. Running Thunderbird v115.14.0. Edit single event. No [Save] button, only [Send and Close]. This doesn't appear for a recurring event, which displays [Save and Close]. Not good.

For the past couple of months, every time I boot up my computer and launch Thunderbird I get the attached error messages for each of my email accounts (2 Hotmail and one Outlook)

Repeatedly clicking "retry" often results in success but sometimes I get the second message indicating the server has disconnected. Usually, after a few minutes things settle down, the messages come through and all is well but it is a nuisance. I would switch to using Outlook but it cannot send multiple emails which I periodically need to do and I don't want to encourage Microsoft's near monopoly of computer technology.

I have tried accepting coookies as advised elsewhere in here and tried turning on O Oath as my authentication method but this just got me another error message saying this authentication "was not supported on this platform" (whatever that means??) Anyway, I reverted to using "simple password" which does eventually work.

I looked at 2 factor authentication but that proved to be impossible to understand and, in any case, I rarely carry a 'phone with me and do not want to clutter my 'phone up with more apps. I use 2 factor authentication on a lot of my confidential accounts and none of these were as complicated to set up as this one and certainly did not invole scanning QR codes and installing special apps.

Will this bug be fixed by more updates to Thunderbird or is there some other way of solving this problem.

Push notification banner from YouTube stays on desktop without closing after 5 seconds. Why? Windows 10 never had this issue. With Windows 11, it worked after a clean install and then it stopped. Why? I checked all settings within Windows.

Settings / Accessibility / Visual effects (ON) / Dismiss Notification after this time amount (5 Seconds) / Notifications checked (ON).

The notification banner hangs and never closes. Google search tells us how to enable and disable. IT HAS NOTHING FOR CLOSING BANNER AFTER 5 SECONDS.

I have 5 email accounts we will call them A, B, C, D , E

Sometimes my A account doesn't want to connect, and it appears to just stall on that one account.

Is there a way to have the accounts download in a different order say start with D, then E, then B, A, C?

I know I can rearrange them in a different order on the left panel, but it still wants to download in the ABCDE order.

How might one be able do that?

Every time I use the browser, I am delayed by : p.typekit.net for a little while before I get results. Why? Can this be removed from the search or browser? I can use a book mark and I get the same hang up on p.typekit.net EVERY time. It slows the browser quite a bit. I have used Firefox for over a decade and would like to keep using it. If you can't fix or can direct me how to fix I need to change browsers because the browser lag is getting stupid. Please help.

Thunderbird was configured to send & receive via Cox /yahoo mail. Worked until recently but can no longer send or receive.

I'm using the current version of Thunderbird with Windows 11. After changing some Thunderbird settings, I suddenly found that addresses no longer self-complete when I begin an address in an e-mail. The addresses are all there in the address book, but not "connecting" to my mail. Please advise what I need to do to get the addresses working again. Thank you!

TB 115.14.0, Win 10 22H2, desktop PC, POP3 from gmail...

I select one of my gmail accounts in TB and click Get Messages. It downloads one or a few emails from gmail and then suddenly the Windows hourglass appears and the banner bar at top of screen which says: "Inbox - (email account)@gmail.com - Mozilla Thunderbird" shows (Not Responding). After ~10-15 sec, downloading resumes normally and all messages accessible.

Happens with all 3 of my gmail accounts and all use same settings: Server type: POP Mail Server Server Name: pop.gmail.com port 995 Connectivity Security: SSL/TLS Authentication: OAUTH2

No TB add-ons installed, Windows Scanning is disabled in TB, running Windows Defender. Lots of free disk space, 16 GB RAM...

Tried TB troubleshooting but nothing found. Have run various Windows checks (eg, DISM and sfc) with no errors and problem continues.

Suggestions?

This app has no properties and it is being applied to a deleted desktop, I have bought three computers in the last six month and I returned them all because of Edge and google so i want hesitate to return this one also. I spend all om time trying to download apps. That do not work properly. I have no browser tools so I have no home icon or no other icons.

Restore gadget screen width to default 1/3 of screen, not 1/2. Gadgets are now too wide for easy reading, they were always 1/3 of the screen until recently. Did I inadvertently make that change, or was it part of some update?
