On a website I sometimes visit, I will occasionally upload images to share. Recently, I was using network access to upload images from a different computer, but that machine started acting up, and so Firefox tries to re-open the shared folder I was using on that other machine if I try to upload a file and cannot connect, so the file selection doesn't show up and I cannot use any other controls, just get the error SFX instead and I have to restart Firefox by closing it using Task Manager in order to restore function. How do I reset what folder it tries to open for file upload so it does not try to open that inaccessible network folder? It softlocks every time now.

Under Privacy and Security, Version 128.0 deleted the radio box allowing us to Clear History excepting Current Logins. Will my current email login now be deleted when I use the Clear History function?

I'm using a Macbook Pro with an external monitor. (I have "Stage Manager" turned off because that was causing weird delays when trying to click on a window behind another one to bring it forward. I only mention this because it means my desktop only has the system menu on my main monitor, the laptop.)

When I open a new window in Firefox, it continually opens the new window on the external display, which is not what I want. I would prefer that it open the new window on the monitor where the currently active window is located.

I read some posts about "dragging a window to the monitor you want to open new ones on, maximize, minimize, turn around three times" or something like that. Not only does that not work, other than maybe temporarily, it also seems silly.

Is there no way to reliably open new windows on the currently active monitor, or least the main one? Or any planned fixes related to this?

How to I stop Account Control from asking me to approve FireFox every time I log in. I read the other threads in the community on this topic and they say to confirm Run as Administrator is turned off. Well it is OFF and I stilll have the issue. I'm on Win 10

I have to use Firefox Developer Edition in order to run an addon a custom addon that I made. The only quirk I don't like is having to see "Firefox Developer Edition" in the taskbar. I notice that it only displays this text from the home page and then changes once I a web page is in focus. How can I change the taskbar title text of the new tab/home page so that it just says "Firefox"?

I can install firefox in a 20.04 ubuntu image however I can't get the sound to come out to the host. I am using the tainted nvidia driver on my host. Has anyone got this to work? I messed around by adding various mesa drivers to the image with no fix. Any suggestions? I am using the ppa version of firefox in the container.

It does work using the same credentials but it's not what I want to use ANY ideas are appreciated I've tried allowing all sorts of permissions but even 'clear history' options were changed with this windows update.

I love Firefox and use it for more than a decade now. Problem is that filetypes .mp4 and .mp3 are automatically opened and played in Firefox. How to change that to be downloaded? In the Settings>General>Appliations the extension MP4 and MP3 do not show up...

Hi, i would like to set my pdf handling as follows

1. When opening a pdf link, i need the file to open in browser, don't want it to download 2. When opening from download history, i want it to open in my pdf software

I believe this was the default in old firefox(some years ago). Currently if i set it to open in browser, point 1 will work but 2 won't (i have to right click and choose "open in xx app") if i set it to always open in other app, 2 will work but 1 won't. Back then i tried some settings which downloads the file to temp folder and open from there, i don't want that (not needed the file in download history) pls let me know if there is a solution. There is an issue when trying to close the open tab while using the mouse(Bluetooth) When you press LMB on the mouse, it causes a slight shift in the position of the cursor. This slight shift is interpreted as a gesture and prevents interpretation of pressing (X) symbol. So if I want to close any open tab, I must during LMB press keep mouse almost completely still.
