I know this problem has been discussed extensively, but I can't fix it even after reading the previous posts.

I have an institutional email address that uses outlook.office365 server and mandatory two factor autentication. I had my Thunderbird setup with this, which suddenly stopped working one day on my office PC. I updated Thunderbird to the newest version, but the issue pertains. Currently I'm running Thunderbird 115.12.2. on a Windows 10 machine.

When I try to fetch my emails from this server, a popup window appears that asks for my institutional login credentials. When I enter them, a second window appears, asking for the two factor autentication. However, this window seems to be corrupt, as it does not contain any information, and and it's impossible to type in verification code, as there's no input area at all (see the first picture - note that I'm using a localized version of Thunderbird).

When I click on Privacy and cookies in the right bottom corner, then two lines appear (although without any labels), where I can type in my verification code (I guess that it is the second line, because it shows dots in place of the typed characters, as for passwords). A screenshot of this window can be seen in the second picture.

However, after typing the correct code and clicking on the grey button, the first window reappears, this time with my email address that keeps flashing forever and nothing happens. It does not even matter if I type in the right verification number or just anything, it produces the same behaviour. As a result, I can't log in to my mailbox, which is operational, because I can log in there through the web interface of outlook, and also from my laptop using Thunderbird 78.14.0. I also made sure that the server name and authentication methods are correct (outlook.office365.com, port 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2).

Do you have any suggestion how to solve this issue?

David, here are two screen shots (ss) to clarify my issue with email and a third regarding another issue (see below).

Number one ss shows what I see when I go to Thunderbird. I am allowed to delete if I wish by first marking the email and then clicking delete. If, however, I wish to view the message, Number two ss appears. I cannot delete the message without going back to Number one ss as that option has now disappeared. This was no problem on my old computer.

The other issue is related to the above. I have over 250 emails without being able to access them (see Number three ss). On the left upper side is the number of emails I have, but only six old emails appear, something that is confirmed in the upper right frame. No matter what I do, I cannot access them.

I have been a long term Firefox user, but recently Firefox on Ubuntu seems to have more and more problems.

I have Firefox 127.0.2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04. I have 0 extensions or addons installed.

Another one: I cannot select the country code from the drop down list when entering phone number in Ryanair, so basically I can't buy flight tickets from there. Chromium Browser didn't work as well, but Safari did.

I recently bought a new laptop and didn't import Firefox to the new one. Now I can't access my passwords etc on Firefox because it asks my for my primary password. I have no idea what that might be. Does anyone know if there is any way to recover the passwords please?

I use fire fox as my default browser. It is still the default but now when I go to search the yahoo start page comes on. I cannot search with fire fox as this stupid yahoo home page over rides it. Please help!

Hi, got a problem for the last several days - on each visited site Firefox (my guess) is launching a pop up about add-ons for Ad Blocks tham I am using were updated with official national filters for Polish market.

This is super annoying and the pop-up jumps on almost every new site bieng visited (it is visible for ca. 5 seconds). Is there any way to stop it? How can I dissable this feature?

Mail is working smoothly but I can't access my multi-year Calendar. I've tried several alternatives with no solution and I really need help please. I'm in Portugal and I'm Portuguese. Whenever I select an email in my Inbox which has attached files (of any type) i get this pop-up, one for each attachment. https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-07-02-00-10-20-f3ab8a.png This has only been occurring since I updated to Ubuntu 24.04 and Thunderbird 115.12.0-2 If I click on the "Find more in Software" button I get a message 'Failed to execute child process "Gnome Software" (No such file/directory)'. I have searched for a solution but can only find a reference which suggests that the problem has something to do with Evolution, (the file handler, not Darwin's theory). Any suggestions? Cheers Ian

Sometimes it happens that an input field on a page in an IFRAME cannot be clicked. The buttons work, but you can't enter anything in the text field.

Only when I press in the address bar and then in the text field, now I can enter text in the text field.

Updated Thunderbird to 117.12.2 on the 25 June 2024. Since then I am not receiving emails on my computer. I have actually sent some emails but they don't save into the sent folder and I have had a "Add security exception" warning occured when sending.

So problem is not getting new emails since the latest update was loaded. Thanks Neil

Cannot use the hours dropdown on Calendar Widget in Mozilla, when I click on the hours, the dropdown appears for half a second and then dissapears, so I cannot use it. Works fine with Edge and Chromium. OS Ubuntu 24.04. Tried private mode and disabling add-ons - only one I have is UBlock. When inspecting the console does not show any errors.

Sometime in the last few months, Firefox (Developer Edition) stopped allowing redirects and links to file://-protocol URLs. Is there a way to re-enable this for my personal browser, e.g. via about:config or the like?

Using TBird 15.10.1 64-bit on my Windows 10 desktop system, I find under Tools | Address Book a down arrow to the left of Personal Address Book; clicking on it displays all my created address lists, which are available when I compose a message to send.

Using 15.10.1 64-bit on my Windows 11 laptop, the down arrow does not appear and I have no access to those lists.

Am using IMAP on both systems. Tried importing lists as a CSV file; no effect. How can I get access to my address lists on both PCs?

This started a week or two ago intermittantly on some websites. Today I cannot see any images of amazon items in the shopping cart. I can see the thumbnails in the right side bar, and if I click on an item, the image appears on its for sale page. Ebay usually shows the first image, but the rest won't load, unless I click on "unable to load images" and then they might. Or if I use the icon to put the images in their own box, I can < and > to navigate them

I just got my PC back from the shop. It's the best LG Gram laptop they had with Windows 11, and it's 1-yr old. Much on it was corrupted and I'm having to reload many items, one being my Firefox. It wouldn't open up. I did the right-click on my mouse and hit the OPEN selection. Firefox still wouldn't open up. I reloaded Firefox hoping that it would correct whatever may be wrong. No, it still won't open up. I'm reaching you now via TOR. My TOR was also reinstalled, but it is able to open up. Can you think of what I may have done wrong? [I'm unable to check the option-email me when someone answers my thread {this email must be a thread}, but this will be fine.] Please note that I am so NOT tech-savvy, I don't even have any smart/mobile/cell phone. Just a plain old phone. (I should add I'm in my 70's, ill, and in a Nursing Home.) I looked through your troubleshooting sugggestions, but they are too fancy for me to understand. I'm not sure how this works, but I sure do hope you can offer some suggestions as to what I can try. Thanks so very much for your time and consideration of this matter. It's very much appreciated.

All morning I had been receiving and sending emails without issue. Then at approx 12:41 PM EST Thunderbird stopped working. I can send and receive emails through AOL to AOL but they do not show up in Thunderbird. I did not have any other computer issues and did not change any settings. Verizon told me it was an AOL issue, but I was able to successfully send and receive messages with AOL. AOL tried to fix it but ultimately said it was a Thunderbird issue. In the last 6 or 7 weeks I have had issues with Thunderbird. What is going on? Very Very Frustrating!!!
