Hi Why is it everytime I download something it has to open in the Firefox browser to view? And why is this happening when I scan to my computer? I want things saved to my computer, like documents and scanned information?

Can I stop the popup warning about sending emails to group with all emails in the TO: field. I've been communicating this way with an open email list for decades, and the popup is very annoying.

Long ago I developed muscle memory to type in the main part of a website domain and complete it with Ctrl-Enter in the address bar.

That supposedly adds the www. prefix at the beginning and .com at the end.

Works great except that it seems to append "http:// to the beginning. That often results in a warning that I'm trying to go to an insecure domain.

How can I modify this behavior to append "httpS://" to the beginning to avoid all of these warnings?

mam kilka kont emailowych w najnowszym Thunderbird. Chciałbym, aby odnośniki które mam w przychodzących wiadomościach otwierały się w innej przeglądarce (zamiast domyślnej Google Chrome, to Edge). Nigdzie nie mogę uzyskać informacji jak to zmienić.

I mistakenly dragged a text from a search box and dropped it on my browser page. If this text is a url (Ex: www.some_site.com), Firefox will navigate to that page. How do I prevent Firefox from opening dropped links on pages?

I get the green light for creating an account... but it goes yellow tag when I click Done. Will you help, please. I am able to log into my account online with the same PW I have to use in setting up the Thunderbird account. Thanks from a donation customer. //... Joe

When I click the search bar a few shortcuts show up. Great. There are currently 4 or 5 and are sites I regularly go so it's nice. Youtube, Twitch, a couple sites I use for forums, and then there's THE PORN. Right... So I'm trying to remove that specific search bar suggestion. The others can stay, but I don't want THE PORN SITE show up by simply clicking the search bar. I've tried looking for answers but nothing talking about this exactly, only other similar topics. I know I can go into the Search menu in Settings and uncheck the Shortcuts option, but that removes them all. I'd like to continue to use it for the other sites. There's never been a way that I can see to CHOOSE which sites end up there, that would be the easiest.

I've add a picture to show what I mean. At the bottom is a porn site I enjoy Fullporner.com, but I'd like that to NOT show up right with a simple click. THANKS

I'm very satisfied with the Containers. It separates my personal life from my office life.

But when the browser launches, the default page is container-less. I have to open another tab with a specific container to start browsing.

It would be best if the browser lets a user set a default Container per browser: - I'd like to set 'Work' Container as a default for my office PC - I'd like to set 'Privare' Container as a default for my personal PC

Hi - when I start Thunderbird my configured eadds (on different servers), Thunderbird (since nebula?) is downloading all emails from both servers and Thunderbirds opens all folders I created. It also looses some settings (color-marks of emails). Hope somebody can help - thanks!

in German: Wenn ich Thunderbird starte werden immer wieder alle emails vom server downgeloaded (zwei email-accounts auf zwei verschiedenen servern). Auch öffnet Thunderbird alle Ordner und Unterordner, die ich angelegt habe, um meine emails zu sortieren. - Ich vermute, dass das Problem mit dem update auf nebula auftauchte. - Ich wäre sehr dankbar, wenn jemand eine Lösung für das Problem weiß; besten Dank!

Hi, Thanks for looking! I prefer to drag important files to the Archive folder for future reference. When I recently went to find one I discovered most of the emails I have received since about November 2023 have been automatically been sent to the Archive folder as well as residing in my Unified Inbox. I use TB 128.1.1esr (64-bit) with 4 Gmail accounts if that is relevant. If anyone can suggest a way to stop this I would be very grateful. Cheers, D Ranyami

Hello, recently I switched to this browser from another browser for some specific reason and I noticed that dropdown menu is way too big compared to my previous browser. Is there any way to fix it and make it more compact? To better explain you what I mean, see those screenshots: First screenshot is on Firefox, second screenshot with exact webpage is on Vivaldi browser. You can see vast difference how compact is Vivaldi dropdown menu compared to Firefox.

Restore gadget screen width to default 1/3 of screen, not 1/2. Gadgets are now too wide for easy reading, they were always 1/3 of the screen until recently. Did I inadvertently make that change, or was it part of some update?

The blinking indicator of where the next character is to be typed in is over 15 characters long and it is annoying. I need to know how to get it sized to one character width like it used to be before the last update of TB. I have searched settings and I have not found how to correct it. Since it is blinking, I can not take a screenshot to show it, I can say that the last update of TB messed up a lot of settings and how it operates. Image is of my current version of TB.
