to select two or more messages on the message pane, one method is to hold down the CTRL key and left click on the messages you want to select. This has stopped working on my Thunderbird. When I select a message and then go on to select the next message, the first message I selected is deselected. So I can only select one message for an operation, e.g. "move", "delete", rather than a group of messages.

I have not been able to receive my att emails since 6/15/24 with my desktop using Thunderbird.. I do receive prompts "login to server inbound.att.net with user name ckfischer@att.net -- FAILED - inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net is not working thru Thunderbird.

I have contacted AT&T and have access thru the browser for this account as well as on my phone, and they have not made any changes. This seems to be an server issue with Thunderbird. Please help - ckfischer@att.net THANK YOU -

Suddenly today, about 1/2 to 2/3 of the emails that have been in my inbox are unreadable (see font below). I tried doing the Properties>Repair but no change.

Server Type: Owl Server Name: outlook.office365.com Thunderbird: 115.3.1 Windows 11 PC.

Perhaps related or not: today the Inbox folder didn't display in its usual location (instead of displaying directly under the email address, it was was down after templates, deleted, etc). I dragged it up where I wanted it. But now many of the emails are unreadable (but not all of them).

Any suggestions?

I have been trying to get help with Thunderbird for an issue with not receiving my emails and not being able to send any emails since June 12th of 2024. Nothing has worked with the little support from this site. Please help!

Hi, I am hoping to have two thunderbird downloads/accounts on the same computer.

ie can I run 2 separate thunderbird portals -

one for my talktalk emails

and a completely separate one for my gmail/google accounts.

I know I would be able to load the gmail/google onto my original Thunderbird account (but I would like to keep them completely unconnected)

I'm currently using Thunderbird 115.7.0 (64 bit) portable version on Windows 10. For many years I have ordered my emails by using subfolders, with a large one called 'Archives'. When another folder such as 'EE' becomes non-current I simply drag and drop it to the 'Archives' folder. However now the archives folder is so large and irrelevant that when searching for emails, I get thousands of results from up to 15 years ago. So, how can I archive emails so that they are easily accessible, but so they don't come up in an all encompassing "All folders" search?

In Thunderbird [Ctrl]+[B] doesn't initiate Bold text, in fact those keystrokes don't do anything at all. Any ideas as to why and how I can make this shortcut work? The other shortcuts for Italics and Underline work fine. Thank you for your time.

I'm on IMAP. I having a working knowledge of Thunderbird, but not a whiz by any means.

Since I have both personal and business emails, I keep them historically. I delete what I don't think I'll ever need to refer to.

When my email storage, gets into the 90's, I get nervous. I go through and delete as many emails as possible, and sometimes manage to get the percentage to go down 1 percent.

So... I'm a little confused. I thought that perhaps this was syncing with the Comcast server, and that the percentage was not for any Thunderbird storage. Is Thunderbird storing on another server?

What should my settings be, so that I can maintain all my email on my computer? I don't need to store it on any server. I'm afraid to make any adjustments for fear of losing email on my computer.

Is there someone who can walk me through this process in steps I can understand? LOL

I know I am set up with IMAP.

have been using Thunderbird mail for about 3 years. It’s template selected the incoming and outgoing servers and ports etc..successfully. I've been connecting to Prodigy mail/ATT I had to change the battery and it doesn't work anymore. Can you help ???it checks the password until it shows an error message that the servers password or etc are wrong. I know the password is right since I can log in directly. Messages :

1- Configuration found in ISP Database

2- Checking Password (for a few minutes

3- Unable to log in at server..probably wrong configuration username or password

4 then nothing

I received a notification from @hotmail and @live that I won't be able to receive or send mail after Sept 17th without taking action - what steps should I take when I don't have Microsoft Office 360?

I was looking for an email I expected to find in my Inbox, and found that a message filter was applied to move it to another folder. I can see the filter log entry for this action.

This filter consists of 9 specific email matches ( From "is" ....); the message that was moved is NOT in this filter list.

When I moved the message back to my Inbox, it was moved again.

Any ideas on how to stop this happening? Can I even trust filters?

I recently deleted all my filters as I was not sure they were working correctly, and recreated them carefully. I currently have 10 filters, a few are one off created from a message, and none have more than 10 matching requirements.

Why? Actual bug? DB problem?

I have done a custom install of TB on D:\ drive, moved Profiles folder to D:\, verified that account settings/server settings have local directory pointing to D:\ drive.

Can I delete all TB files on C:\? TB still *seems* to be using those files. I really need to free up space on C:\ - tiny drive filled with Windows OS, huge D:\ with nothing on it.

I have been using Thunderbird for some time and it has served me well. I used it to manage my gmail accounts with encryption and so on.

Recently I have deleted one of my gmail accounts and when I launch it Thunderbird asks me to log in to that account. "Sign in to continue to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" And I am supposed to enter my email.

I have checked the account settings: the old account (let's call it old@gmail.com) is no longer there. I have also removed the outgoing SMTP server for the old account.

I do not know how to stop the app from asking me to log in to an nonexistent account.

My wife discovered today that all email had disappeared from her inbox! She doesn't know how or why and neither do I. She is running Thunderbird 1.15 under Windows 7. I have already tried the Windows restore function on the INBOX and it didn't work. Tried a number of other methods and none worked. In looking around the Thunderbird directory and noticed a bunch of files named nstmp-1, 2 3 and 4. nstmp-4 has this morning date-time on it and viewing it in an editor it seems to be a backup of the INBOX. Is this true, and can it be used to rebuild her INBOX.

Unable to export bookmarks file. When I go to 'Manage Bk Mks' it is blank and states 'no items' (see screenshot) but I have all my bookmarks in the in the usual left hand pane. I've asked this question before and received no response. Can anyone help please?

I use the android version of your email app. I love it, easy to use and almost use the "Unified" Inbox all the time.

It would be nice to nice to have this facility for any type of account.
