I'm unable to get Lloyds bank to recognize that cookies are enabled. I've tried clearing cache+history etc but no joy. Having tried the Lloyds bank cookies page and enabling cookies still no joy and login refused. Standard setting in Security & Privacy and advised resets all tried multiple times. Anything to do with "trusted" device? Trust prompt not reissued after resetting everything. Had to use Chrome to login - and got the "trust this device" prompt on first use.

I watch videos on dropout.tv which uses the Vimeo SDK as their player for the videos. After switching to Firefox, the video progress has consistently started from where I left off on Chrome. The site doesn't remember where I ended the video when I watch it on Firefox. I assume this has to do with the cookies, but I've manually added "dropout.tv" to the list of exceptions in Firefox settings so that that site is always allowed to store cookies.

Returning briefly to Chrome, the player immediately tracked my progress again, so the issue is definitely related to Firefox somehow.

Our printers are added from a print server. FireFox is showing the full printer server path as the printer name. This is not good. Why is this happening? I have tried clearing the printer settings and re-adding the printers but this did not fix the issue.

suddenly Firefox is blocking my entry to a specific site with the measage "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." I have tried umpteen ways around this to no avail. Google Chrome does not have this problem!! I am using version 100.0.2

When FF on my Windows 10 machine crashed FF asked if I wanted to refresh FF. I said yes, and FF reopened as usual with all my tabs. After I closed and reopened FF the next time, it reopened without any of my tabs. I then discovered that FF had unchecked the “Startup Open previous windows and tabs” box, which I had previously religiously monitored to be sure it was checked. So I lost all my previous tabs.

In my sessionstore-backups folder I found the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 as last in a list of three more recent file names. I then dropped the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 in the scrounger tool on this site: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. It expanded in the big window, and when I clicked on Save uncompressed JSON as text, I see all the URLs run together in a text file.

How can I use this information to recover my tabs, please? If so, how? Or is there a better way to use the Scrounger – or another – tool?

Otherwise if I delete the three more recent file names in the list above the upgrade.jsonlz4-20 file, and restart FF will I recover the missing tabs? If so would I the check or uncheck the Startup Open previous windows and tabs box?

Lastly, can I restore my missing tabs using Windows’ “System restore” tool from 3 days before the crash?

Firefox does not play well with how you customize keyboard shortcuts on Mac i.e. Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.

By default - Move Cursor to Address Bar - Cmd+L Bookmark this Page - Cmd+D

I would like to switch these two shortcuts but there does not seem to be any way. Please help me out.

upon enabling "do not connect to http" very, very, very often i got the attached error message when the site said it was https and it was very often reliable places like my bank and TaxAct. It seemed like such a good idea but i quit out of frustration.

I cannot install English GB dictionary for my spell checker. When I click add dictionaries it takes me to a page where I can select Englsih GB as one of the dictionaries available in my locale. It then takes me to the info and remove page for the dictionary but there is no option to install and no pop up to start the download appears.

Okay so I have started using Firefox recently and the only issue I have with it is that when I use YouTube randomly the YouTube icon near the nav bar keeps getting selected. I am not sure why it is doing this though. It seems like it is happening when I change tabs and then change back but is also seems to randomly do this.

I KEEP HITTING ALTERNATIVELY :"dismiss" and "delete from history" but some i have to do it 40 0r 50 times before it stops popping back up

GARBAGE SOFTWARE

Every time I log in or refresh outlook, I get an email ad for outlook upgrade. It is from microsoft, and can be opened as an email, but it is an ad and can't be blocked. These emails remain blocked with Brave, and I am running an ad blocker. Will mozilla update to remove these ads, or is there an ad blocker that works better with Mozilla. When I inspect it, the first line shows:-

(when i click "Capture video" the LED near the webcam hole is on, but preview not shown.

but in chrome, edge and opera connect successfully. first LED on, then preview is shown with no bug!

(first i check firefox, not connected, then check in chrome connected, NOTE: device is not busy with chrome when i check firefox, i am a web developer:) )

Hi I am trying to change the default homepage Firefox logo to my own, but i could find no tutorial on how to do that. I only found 7-9 year old posts, that did not work. So my question is: Is it possible to change the default firefox logo on the homepage to my own one, and if it is then how?

Recently I was forced to install some "stuff" on my work laptop. Unfortunately, I am not quite sure what they installed. I have contacted my IT department and all I've gotten in response is that "we haven't blocked any browser or sites."

Since this update, I find that Gmail will eventually show an error and when I go to refresh the page, the loading screen never completes. Additionally, Youtube will eventually declare that I have no connection and at that point I can no longer open new browser tabs.

I have updated Firefox, used troubleshooting mode, removed extensions, turned off ad blockers (uBlock Origin), and nothing seems to work—these issues always appear again eventually.

I would greatly prefer to not use Chrome, so if there is anything I can do to fix these issues I would be all ears to know what it is.

I often use this because my vision is not as good as it used to be, and I can listen while I perform other tasks (e.g., cook). I do use the Malwarebytes add-on, but it doesn't work even when I disable it and the FF tracking protection is turned off.

It does work in both Edge and Chrome, with Malwarebytes enabled.

This is very disappointing ...

No matter what I do in terms of refreshing Firefox, starting it in Safe mode, or changing performance settings, Google-related web sites such as mail.google.com and the Google search engine stop working after a few minutes. If I exit Firefox and restart it then Google will work for a little while again. All the solutions I have found on here don't work to solve this issue. It seems to have started with a recent update to Firefox (maybe 100.0.2?)

About a week ago, Firefox stopped updating the fonts on Canva art boards. I have attached a screen shot to show that the font name is correct (shown in the menu bar), but it is not reflected on the art board. The screenshot also has a popup of the image downloaded which shows the same font as in the menu bar.

I have used Canva in Firefox of years! I am now having to use Chrome and Edge. I would prefer Firefox. Please fix the problem.

This is the second time in 4 months I've had this issue. The first time I resolved it by clearing my cache. That isn't working this time. I've looked at the help articles and clearing the cache is there. This is where I found it the first time. Any ideas?
