It has been suggested to me that I need I need a downloadable offline version of a browser suitable for running under windows XP professional version 2002 sp3 that will also be compatible with HTML5 - whatever it is it will need to be something I can download on a windows 10 machine as an offline installation and copy across and install on the other PC. At the moment I can't get through to any https websites though I can search on bing.com which is http but then if I click on one of the search findings it doesn't go anywhere. I have tried various technical suggestions found online on my usual pc for a while now.

Is there a compatible downloadable version available from firefox that I can try?

I have just tried the downloadable version of OPERA for windows xp but that doesn't seem to work properly - I can get into ebay now, which I could not previously but the formatting is all wrong - just lists of this and that, no pictures, also it shows www.ebay.com even if I type https:// in front of it before hitting return

Would be grateful for any suggestions to solve this problem

Hey I've reinstalled my PC i installed Firefox. Login to Firefox Sync. And now it's empty. no tabs, no passwords, everything is gone. I usually do this every time and it work. I am sync my Android phone with all my passwords and bookmarks

I was told my bank that there has been an issue with firefox since the last upgrade. I can sign into my account, but if I try to do anything or click on anything, the site locks up and I can not do anything except for sign out. They told me that it was on your end and that you needed customers to reach out. It's becoming frustrating that I can't use firefox for this application. I can get into my account and do what needs to be done with other browsers. What can you do on your end. The bank is Mission Federal Credit Union. Thank you! Everything was fine until about an hour ago. Suddenly over half My tabs quit working. Either the display is weird and all text, or the page is blank, or there is a small "broken image" icon in the upper left... A few tabs are working fine. On X I get a notice saying, "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com."

I tried turning off tracking (which was NOT "strict!!!"), and that did not fix the problem.

What is going one????

New W11 computer. checked "always ask where to save files". Restarted Firefox. It's still automatically dumping downloads in Downloads rather than asking.

Why?

Website opens properly using Safari and Chrome.

For about the past week I've been having trouble with Gmail and Google Search in my Firefox browser. Typically, I open a Firefox window with multiple tabs and leave the window open all day. I always have Gmail and Google Calendar open in tabs. What happens is that the Gmail tab will at some point give me a message that it cannot connect and has timed out and is trying to reload, but it never reloads, it just stalls. Then I try to open a Google search bookmark to search and the tab remains blank. This happens multiple times throughout the day. Meanwhile I can open Gmail or any Google page in Chrome, which I don't like using.

Sometimes I can close out the Gmail tab that won't load and try to open Gmail in a new tab, but that stalls out too. The only way I can open Gmail again is to close out the Firefox window completely and then relaunch it, then it can open Gmail or Google... until it breaks again.

This never used to happen. I'm using the latest versions of Windows 10 and Firefox on my desktop PC. Nothing else has changed.

Please help me fix this, it's very annoying.

Whenever I try to access a webpage it shows up as no style and buttons and links are non functional. However if I use private browsing everything works, but all my history and extensions are not available.

I realize Facebook doesn't have a spell check feature,but is there a way my browser, Firefox, which I already have spell check enabled can somehow spell check Facebook when I chat? Can someone help? Thank you.

I'm having problems using Firefox in general. No websites will load properly except for the Firefox support site. It's not an internet issue because everything works fine when I use Google Chrome (I'm typing this from Chrome). I tried deleting my history and clearing caches/cookies but that didn't fix anything. I've included some screenshots of what I'm dealing with below.

If you open this website: https://www.zonnebloem.nl/ with the option Enhanced Tracking Protection the cookiebot popup banner is not shown as the third party tracking cookie from domain https://consent.cookiebot.com is protected and NOT loaded.

Does this mean Mozilla Firefox sees the https://consent.cookiebot.com cookie as a third party tracking cookie that needs to be blocked as nobody gave consent to load the cookiebot consent popup?

Question 1: Is according to Mozilla Firefox https://consent.cookiebot.com a third party tracking cookie that needs to be blocked if you as a user want to have guarantees over your privacy online?

Question 2: Is it not strange to see Firefox blocking a widely used cookie consent system to protect users by giving consent to select which cookies will be set yes/no?

In seeing other answers to this dilemma it presents another problem. I do use sync. But what troubles me is IF I need to give out the password for someone to use the internet that person now has access to my passwords. Since there seems no way, unless I shutoff sync. Is this correct? Should there be some Secondary password? Passwordpasswordpasswordpasswordetc.

I was wonder when the next browser update may be come as I would like to watch YouTube on Firefox again. As it has been over a month since the last update that made it so YouTube doesn't load the video anymore. (I have tried every suggestion online to correct this and nothing)

First of all, I have already changed my about:config browser.search.region preference to GB.

When I try to install the amazon search engine for amazon.CO.UK, via the magnifying glass on the search bar, I get this message.

I cannot find, from the Menu bar, Tools, Settings, General, scroll to bottom to Config Editor I have not been able to find this "Config Editor". I also did not find .css file in that I might be able to modify. I am not understanding why the option isn't present in the settings for Firefox!
