firefox stated it would close, update , open and restore tabs. This happened: a message stating..XUL runner error Platform version 128.03 not compatible with min 128.0 or max 128.0

What do I need to do ?

Because Microsoft's timeserver remains shit as ever (which is why if I install Windows I tend to sync up with nist.gov instead of windows.com, but this time I forgot to do so), the time/date stamp didn't match up and Firefox absolutely refused to sync.

HOWEVER.... the only reason I found this out is because I checked about:sync-log and am able to correctly read those logs and the implication therein. Which, honestly, shouldn't be needed.

When I realized this I synced up with nist.gov, which solved the sync issue, but if you don't know about the state of the Windows time server and how drastically synced up in regarding the time you need to be for the Firefox sync to work, you're pretty much screwed.

Which is why I'd like to suggest a warning in regards to this, if the system notes a 'time de-sync' and tells you why syncing doesn't work. You shouldn't need (by the average citizen's standard) need intermediate or better computer knowledge skills to realize why the syncing doesn't work.

Hello. Recently I've noticed video quality has been reduced on amazon prime video. I get a message saying my hardware doesn't meet HDCP requirements.

I've already tried playing the same video on edge, and the quality selector was fine there, full HD video.

I have a problem when using Firefox to connect to my BT email. I get an message from my Bitdefender security suite saying it has blocked a suspicious connection. Resetting Firefox and reloading my apps does not fix it. Running Firefox in Troubleshoot mode does not fix it Downloading a fresh firefox copy and new addons plus keeping my bookmarks does not fix it. Using Ghostery Dawn in Firefox does fix it. Any advice on how I can get rid of this pesky suspicious connection please. Its name is: prod5-cdata.sprinklr.com.s3.amazonaws.com

How to save all browsing history. I seem to have lost all past history and now, only the session history is kept until log off? I do not know when my history was deleted it was a few days back but how do I customize my settings to save my history?Thanks for reading

Hello, there is no audio on my PC when I click on the audio button from dict.cc and dict.leo websites. I click it and the tab says it's playing audio but there is none. The audio button used to work and I didn't change anything. Other sites like YouTube work fine. How can I fix it?

I have a pinned tab (from Distill Monitoring addon) that always has to be pinned. And thats ok. But the problem is that every few minutes, new duplicate pinned tabs emerge so that around 5 or 8 of them emerge. I only want one pinned tab open, not several duplicate pinned tabs. How do I fix this with CSS or other means?

Here's what happened: I had installed Firefox on a different computer using my current profile backup copy/pasted, into

C:\Users\Al\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\s99pq6qr.default

& it worked ok .... but when I signed out & back in days later & launched Firefox on the new computer...

The problem is that it had 2 profiles on the new computer...mine & a generic one ..& that generic one became the starting or DEFAULT profile... obviously without all my data....so I backed out & later deleted that one generic profile so mine would be the only DEFAULT profile used. 

But from then on trying to use my profile on the new computer copy/pasted from my main laptop that I’ve had FF on for10 years...failed .....as it kept using the generic one...& all attempts at fixes to get only my backup profile used didn’t work...so.... & had to do a complete uninstall of Firefox using REVO..as it finds all folders & files hidden around places....but ....after REVO uninstall I found more folders &files of Mozilla & Firefox all around in my C drive...SO..after eliminating everything I could & starting over ...by downloading a new Firefox browser application on the new computer ...but before running the set up files... Now... I want to reinstall Firefox on this different computer ....& make sure that only my backup profile is used!

I was going to try Backup assistant.... But HOW DO I LOCATE & USE/RUN Backup assistant?

Click Switching to a new device.

BUT...I DON’T WANT TO “Switch to a new device.” I WANT TO KEEP IT AS IT IS ON MY CURRENT DEVICE ....AND...WHILE ADDING IT TO MY NEW COMPUTER TOO (I might be confused at the term 'switch')

Ever since I switched to Firefox a few months ago, i've noticed that the audio on youtube music vids cuts out when I put the video on a loop sometimes. Moving the play bar to a different point/time on the video fixes it but it is extremely annoying. Can anyone help with fixes? Thanks

I had two Firefox windows open and I accidentally closed the good one while trying to close out another app. Is there an "in-Firefox" app that will restore everything?

I tried reading the instructions but couldn't comprehend them outside of changing the name of sessionstore.something. I couldn't comprehend where to get the tabs I accidentally closed.

I would prefer the easy button. The easiest button possible.

Can someone tell me what settings I need to change to get the suggestions in the URL line to sites I actually go to? I go to mediaite.com and msnbc.com multiple times a day, but if i type the letter "m," Firefox fills in "mail.google.com." I literally never type that! Where is it coming from and why won't it go away? Support says highlight it and do Shift + Delete, but using the arrows takes me to the next item, not the gmail one. what is the reason i can't make that stop? I'm over here and I'm duckduckgo because of the tracking, but this is a really basic search i do all day that is needlessly tedious and it's not the only one.

so like i asked, what settings do i need to check or uncheck to make the suggestions be relevant to stuff i actually search? this seems like such a basic thing--suggest the things they've looked at already before random stuff they they have NEVER searched.

128.0.3 failed to install on my PC. It completely wiped my firefox, my personal account for both PC and Android, wiped all of my extensions and then left a folder called "Old firefox data" on my desktop. Firefox cant use this folder to import anything.

Wtf happened and why is my profile that is connected to my email completely wiped as well? I had a metric ton of bookmarked sites that I use for my websites, design, programming etc saved for my business and now its all gone and even the recovery backup is completely blank.

I'm baffled.

Hello, I faced such a problem as a very strong contrast on all videos, for example on Youtube. I used firefox 2 years ago and there was no such problem. I tried to reduce the brightness and contrast in the monitor settings, but alas it did not help. Please help me solve the problem

Hanging up trying to open Yahoo / AT&T email - other things like pulling up AOL News only getting part way there. AND this is the second time I've entered this today, 07/31/2024 but the first one disappeared.

After I installed an update on the morning of 7/29 I can no longer access my pop email server pop.nuvox.net

When I click on the 'Get Messages' icon nothing happens. Before the update I would get a exception message about some item not being standard and asking me to accept it, which I did, and then was able to download my email until the next restart of Thunderbird.
