I have cleaned files, defragged, restarted over and over and Firefox 129.0 is so slow it is barely functioning. I have Win 10, Norton 360 & Roboform. Please help and give me advice an old man can follow.

Questions re Email Inbox and Reply window:

1) I can't find a list here showing the Inbox icons and what they mean, specifically this one. I can't delete it, nor do I see anything in the inbox list of column indicators that it might be. I'd like to know what it's for and if/how it can be removed.

2) I want to have more space for the message pane; the only way to do this is to have a smaller font size for the email List pane. I don't see where I can change this. Is it possible to decrease this font size? I've tried but haven't t been able to locate info on this website.)

3) Reply font: I keep changing it to my Preference, but it keeps going back to a default.

Also, find it annoying that I can't select a specific font SIZE. I've never seen a Windows desktop software of ANY kind, not just email, which doesn't give have choice of font size as well as the font itself. Is there a suggestion area on this website?

When I open T bird in win 10 or 11, it takes a couple of minutes to scan all my email accounts, during which time the program is too slow to be useable. Is there a fix for that?

How do I designate StartPage as my search engine in Firefox. I found no place in Firefox Settings to choose a search engine other that your select few. For many years I have been able to do this in previous installations.

I just moved from the MS Edge to Firefox Nightly on both on my pc and on my android phone, and as far i like it very much, except maybe the bookmarks sync but i will not talk about this right now.

My problem is on my win11 pc, after the 1st update there are now two identical Firefox apps showing on the default apps, in settings, as you can see in the picture. I search on the internet for a solution but with no success. Can someone help me with this ?? Thanks in advance !!

Why does PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) now refuse to accept login's to their website using Firefox? They claim that they no longer accept Firefox as a supported browser. Gotta use Microsoft Edge (ughh)

Today I read a lot of complaints about Manifest V3 and Google's monopoly with chromium. And looked at Firefox's market share from early 2024 to now. I've been thinking about how to regain a small market share and fight against chromium's dominance (although it seems impossible). For me and probably many other users, the biggest problem with firefox is its RAM usage. Currently Edge is the browser with the least RAM usage and has about 2% more market share than Firefox. If each Firefox tab was optimized to reduce 100 MB of RAM usage (without using any extensions to help reduce RAM usage), its market share would surpass Edge. What do you think?

We have a Thunderbird email for our woodcraft organisation. It is linked to our website. The website is hosted on the server of a member of the club, but we need to remove the website from his server. We have decided to close the website down. Will this impact on our email? If necessary, we can create a new Thunderbird email address, which is an inconvenience, but is there any way Thunderbird can move all the existing emails across to a new address? If not, I will have to save them all some other way, which is a big job. Many thanks in anticipation.
