Hello,

Firefox 120 is freezing my Android 11 phone when I start typing on the search bar (weirdly it start to happens when a space is inserted). It freezes so hard that pretty much it takes 30-min to 1 hour for the phone to restart or the battery to drain.

Reverting to 119.1.1 solves the problem immediately.

My guess would be that maybe the search bar or the suggestion related code introduced something weird, as I do have a lot of bookmarks. Nevertheless, it's definitely a new issue (been using Firefox mobile since first day around 2010) and introduced in 120.0.

Since the phone is hard freezing, I can't even connect in ADB and try to see any message hinting at what's wrong. If there's a crash trace maybe some info could be dug there.

Firefox on my android phone times out on any webpage whenever I am not connected to a Wi-Fi. All webpages and IP addresses timeout with no response. Same issue occurs on Firefox Beta app and Firefox Nightly. All other applications work as expected with full internet access on mobile data. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser.

Simply put, all Firefox apps have no internet connectivity on mobile data.

Solutions I've attempted with no success or change: Re-install Firefox. Logging out of Firefox Sync. Clear Firefox data and cache. Disabling tracking protection. Disabling HTTPS-only mode. No proxy settings are enabled. Confirmed Firefox application has mobile data network privileges. Disabling, re-enabling mobile data network privs. Installing Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly; same issue.

Another possibly related issue: Firefox does not follow routes from a Cisco AnyConnect VPN on my phone. Opening pages/IP addresses routed through the VPN are rejected or timeout as if the VPN is not active at all. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser. This occurs over Wi-Fi as well, of course nothing works on mobile data as described above.

After updating Firefox for Android, my phone started rebooting after downloading any file. This makes it very difficult to use the browser and I had to use Chrome temporarily. The Crashes tab in About Firefox is empty. As of yesterday (1st Nov 2023), Firefox started reporting "Proxy Server Refused Connection" when trying to browse websites over Wifi.

I have a proxy server configured in my phone wifi settings, and this has worked before, and still works in other apps (Chrome, etc)

Checking with tcpdump on the proxy server itself, I see my phone trying to connect to port 80, rather than the configured port (8000)

Firefox crashes Android system and System UI processes after every image download.

It happens after every image download finishes.

I took this example and changed it slightly.

Lines are not visible in Firefox and Firefox Focus browsers. They are visible in Firefox Nightly.

This applies to the latest Firefox for Android version (this issue did not occur with the previous version). I manually closed my tabs and closed the Firefox app when I exit. However, when I open the app again, the previously closed tabs are there as if they were never closed. This is fixed if I delete browsing data but, obviously, this is not an ideal solution. I have tried to attach a short clip of this issue in action but it will not upload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I cannot connect my firefox mobile, I get the following error: NetworklError when attempting to fetch resource.

Note: My mobile phone have access to the internet

I have no idea what is happening... But after restarting, clearing my cache, making sure I have data and it is working for other apps... Still no results.

No matter what, whether I try to type in a URL, click on a link in the google app, or refresh a page I already have open, the app doesn't even attempt to load a page or throw up an error. Just a blank background, no loading bar, no error messages, and no redirects...

Im using firefox since 2012 it was great until a couple month ago. The bug is when im browsing website like a payment page, when i switching between the apps and return to payment page, the firefox will refreshing the page automatically without asking any permission and payment will get fail error. Hello. I have the most recent update for Android Firefox. Suddenly I can not watch videos because it says my JavaScript is off. I have not done anything to change any settings. And I am unable to get into "About:Config" to change anything. The version of Android Firefox is 117.0. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. Thank you so much. I constantly used the auto fill for credit cards, but went to pay for something and it didn't auto fill so I went to settings and there is no auto fill section under privacy and security?? WTH??

Keep seeing a bug where tabs that were kept open but are not active, upon reopening do a full reload, and then take a long time to load often failing to load at all after a timeout.

italic textI think the virus is blocking my internal and using my sim card and I need help updating my apps or I won't have any, Google one is in for service, also the virus is stopping my smaller antiviruses from working properly and keeps switching the VPN off, my apps are important though,I haven't got many left and Google is no help

instagram.com not asking for notification permission, so I'm not able to receive notifications from this site.

Someone else experiencing this? Is there something that I and/or Firefox and/or Instagram can do to fix this?

• there's no record of instagram.com on Settings> Sites Permission> Exceptions
• Tested also with addons disabled
• Firefox version: 117.1.0 (Build #2015973691), from Google Play Store

Ps: Tested on Google Chrome and the site asks for this permission
