Having followed the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/modern-authentication-methods-now-needed-to-continue-syncing-outlook-email-in-non-microsoft-email-apps-c5d65390-9676-4763-b41f-d7986499a90d to update the security settings on my outlook/hotmail email accounts Thunderbird no longer reliably saves/enters the passwords. The password is saved in settings as that is where I copy it from to enter manually but why is Thunderbird not doing the entry as previously. It is not every log in and not always the same account, but regularly one or the other will come up with "enter your credentials" Also occasionally the credentials screen will flash on screen and then disappear, not necessarily for the account I am using at the time but one of the others. Firefox is very dear to me. I use it on my computer all the time for how much more relatively secure it is from other browsers. But Android version is a hellish nightmare. When I open the app, even with no previous tabs on, it will not be responsive for more than 30-45 seconds for seemingly no reason. Same thing when I kill the app and start it again. If it does have open tabs, it will either not be able to fetch their sum number to be displayed on the top right corner until that aforementioned timespan passes, and/or I wont be able to remove/add tabs until again that period of time passes! This is a blocking issue that's been there for well over a year and a half, if not longer!

When I am trying to access emails, a popup says to get certificate= imap.aussiebroadband.com.au:993 and confirm security exception. It will not allow emails to download

One of the typical configuration in linux is to turn off the user namespaces and/or network namespaces. This is because most of the exploits in linux have been related to namespaces vulnerabilities.

If there is a Firefox ver 127.0.2, running on Linux in which the user namespace is turned off then the following is observed in the Troubleshooting information, i.e. about:support Seccomp-BPF (System Call Filtering) true Seccomp Thread Synchronisation true User Namespaces for privileged processes true User Namespaces false Content Process Sandboxing true Media Plugin Sandboxing true

So how come with the username turned off, the content process and media plugin is still sandboxed? Also is having user namespace turned off, as given above, a security risk?

However if the network namespace is turned off, i.e. max_net_namespaces is set to zero, then it renders the browser unusable. Nothing works. Why is that?

Is there some documentation somewhere where these namespaces and their impact is explained in detail?

Installed 127.0 (20240606181944) from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_Leap_15.5/ and since then I've been unable to:

• Close a window by closing the last tab (the last tab X does nothing)
• The toolbar Account icon has nothing under it, have to go via Settings to manually sync and manage account

OS Version: Windows 11 Home, 23H2 Firefox Version: 127.0.2

I have several virtual desktops: Desktop 1, 2, 3 and 4. Case 1: Assume that there is at least one opening Firefox window in any virtual desktop. And, if I try to open a new window in Desktop x (x = 1, ..., 4), it will appears in Desktop x as expected. Case 2: Assume that there are currently no opening Firefox windows in any virtual desktop. And, if I try to open a new window in Desktop 2 or 3 or 4, it will only appears in Desktop 1.

I've been experiencing a rather "unusual" issue: My Firefox up until version 116.0b8 worked perfectly fine; however, after any updates to versions beyond that, it stopped working.

I've tried the final versions and the betas, but nothing works. I attempted reinstallation and everything else, but I couldn't solve the mystery and remain stuck on version 116.0 beta 8.

What's happening? Every time I try to load a page on any version above 116.0, it either doesn't open or keeps loading in a loop. Yet, if I use another browser or revert to version 116, everything works correctly. This issue does not occurs in others machines.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. I've noticed that Firefox has been running very slowly on my computer recently. Pages take a long time to load, and the browser often freezes or becomes unresponsive. I've already tried clearing the cache and disabling extensions, but the problem persists. I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can take to improve performance for my website?

1. In the past there was a restriction on the suggested number for "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server". Is that still the case?

2. Does prefs.js contain all the altered about:config settings? Can I safely transfer "prefs.js" to other profiles in attempt to enable all those settings changes, instead of changing them manually, one by one.

I recently installed Thunderbird on my mac. It seems to work well, except that it will not show my Archive folder (simply named "Archive") in the list of folders. I can see from my mail provider's web app that it is there and has my messages in it, and if I use search in thunderbird I can find messages in the Archive folder, but the Archive folder is completely missing from the list of folders. (I can see other folders, just not Archive.)

I did find how I can customize what folders Thunderbird will put Archived messages in, but that's not what I'm looking for. What I want is to be able to see the already existing folder with messages archived by other clients, e.g. the provider's web app.

For several months, Firefox has been unable to play videos from various different websites, including Netflix, Paramount Plus, Youtube, and others. I've turn off VPNS, reset my internet router countless times, cleared cache/cookies, flushed DNS, updated firefox, updated my video drivers, updated windows, disabled extensions (including adblock), opened Firefox in safemode, and reset hardware acceleration. This is not an issue on chrome or edge. Some of the error messages include: Netflix F7351, Paramount Plus 5000, and error code 102630. Youtube mostly doesn't work on livestreams, and says that my browser isn't compatible.

keep getting "Login to server imap.mail.yahoo.com failed." I've tried everything thru Mozilla to change passwords and tried every password possible. It's been 2 weeks no access to my emails thru Thunderbird. I'm at a loss. what can I do to get into my Thunderbird account without dumpig it all to start over?

I converted my Outlook .pst file to an mbox file using SysTools PST converter When I try to import it into Thunderbird, it permits me to import only a .zip file from a previous backup, or a calendar file, or an address file. I need it to import the whole thing, especially the emails. How?

My Thunderbird Version: 115.12.2 (32 Bit)

Microsoft is changing the authentication method for outlook mail to OAuth2. I follow the guide here,

And I get to this screen - but my version of the program does not have OAuth2 as an option (see attached image).
