I really like FireFox mobile, but the amount of misspelled words is starting to become an actual problem for me.

I use a Samsung S8 with Android 9 and whatever predictive text functions it has are turned off because I find them beyond grating and it's just not how I check for spelling errors.

The reasoning to this function being ommitted was (last time someone asked the question) due to space.

Why can't this be an official plugin that people can add?

I'm supporting FireFox entirely for ethical reasons (the only non-chromium browser that still cares about privacy) but I just can't type like this anymore.

Will something be done about this function missing?

I can't figure out how to customize the collections. I want to be able to organize my collections alphabetically, make sub-collections under a parent collection (like one can do in Gmail, for example), it would also be helpful have the option to choose the color of the main/parent collections, and to be able to search within the collections using a keyword in a search box.

With all of these customizable options, I could create a better, more efficient organizational system that would REALLY help to keep & identify collections quicker & easier.

I have had to make dozens & dozens of collections due to the inability to file sub-collections under main/parent collections.

As a result, a frustratingly unnecessary amount of time & effort is spent trying to remember when & where (throughout my ENTIRE history of having Firefox/using collections) a particular collection is located.

I then ALSO have to spend an unnecessary & frustrating amount of time searching within the collection just to locate a particular link as there is no search bar within the individual collection (or from all of the collections, umm... collectively) to facilitate a search.

Once I eventually find the 1. Collection I'm looking for, and then eventually find the 2. Link I'm looking for.. I can click on the link, and I'm directed to the page I saved, but here's the bonus:

When I hit the back button, I'm taken to the page I was on, previous to the page I saved. This is SUPER helpful when I come back to something I've been researching as it helps me to reconnect to the line of thinking I had during the time of research. This helps to eliminate the need to keep such a detailed journal of the thought processes behind each area of research to expand upon or revisit.

So thank you for that!! Also, please don't mess with it? I'm only needing help with the items mentioned at the beginning of this message.

Home screen custom wallpaper selection, new themes ( blue, white or smth else ), new open tabs section style. Please bring a few more features like this, because Firefox can be made much more beautiful (I think so). Especially custom wallpaper should come as quickly as possible. This is just one user's opinion, I hope you take it into consideration.

When opening a website, the url has a padlock with a red line thru it (unsecured), the browser then waits about 5-8 seconds for the red line to disappear (secure )then begins loading the content. It behaves on win 10 and android devices. Upon refreshing Firefox on win 10, it got faster, but reverted. Unchecked wait for secure sites doesn't help.

This is a follow-on to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1401783, I have the same problem - I've followed https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/extended-add-support (which is for some bizarre reason marked "no longer maintained"), to create the custom collection https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collections/17515772/raxod502/ so that I can override the arbitrary blocking of third-party extensions that Mozilla applies by default.

This allows me to install most extensions but for some reason https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/duochrome/ is not showing up in the interface on Firefox for Android, despite being in the custom collection. No information is given about why it is not showing up. I am not aware of any reason why it would be blocked. How can I fix this and use whatever extensions I want to use, or at least get a valid error message about why Mozilla is blocking the extension?

Creating a new thread since the older one just says "Even using that approach, not all add-ons are supported in Firefox for Android at the present time", which doesn't help at all - there is no reason why any addon should be blocked for mobile usage unless it is explicitly configured as such, and even if that were reasonable, it doesn't help explain what specifically is wrong with the extension I'm trying to install.

The Site Notification for Firefox for Android is broken (don't know if it's just me) I have a notification for IGN website but Whenever I click on any site notification I received it always open a " about:blank " page rather than the actual website.

My phone model is ZTE Blade V50 Vita ZTE 8550 Running android 13

In Android 14 oneUI 6.0 i have an issue while i download, the progress of download doesn't show up, i have checked everything but only the Firefox notification of private search shows up, plus when it is downloading the file i have problems when browsing, like when i use the keyboard The keyboard automatically closes and doesn't allows me to type I don't know if i explain myself clear enough

Hi, I am thinking about buying a new phone and wanted to know if i get a new phone and download firefox/mozilla and sign in with my id and pw will all the collections that i currently have in firefox at this time going to be a available to me on the new phone after downloading the current version of firefox? I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. Using Firefox Nightly with Firefox Beta as my search engine adding that to the pre-installed list. Also Nightly is set up as default browser. In the past adding a browser was never a problem. Any help appreciated
