Thunderbird seems to have so many minor changes and alterations in the recent past, that basic usability is affected. Not a good thing.

Once before, a few years ago, Thunderbird got so out of control that I had to go to a different mail client. Are we back to that?

I have 10 email accounts in my Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) and I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and all my sent, draft, archives and templates are going into a different folder. I want them to go into the folder from which the email was sent but they are all going into the email tinakeeling@att.net.

I have changed it to reflect the correct folder but then a few days later and every time I restart Thunderbird the program changes the folders back to tinakeeling@att.net

I have even unchecked the box "place a copy in" and when Thunderbird is restarted it reverts back.

What can I do to fix this issue?

I installed thunderbird in a new computer via flatpak. The computer is running PopOS 22.04 and the current Thunderbird version is 128.0esr.

I don't know if this happened after the last update from 127 to 128 or was like this before, but on the compose window all the menus and buttons on the top row are completeley invisible, white on white (if I hover over them, then they are slightly visible). See the first 2 images.

The main window is OK and everything is readable (see 3rd image).

I don't know how to change these colors.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello, I'm new to this Thunderbird I'm using a desktop computer with Win 10 and Office 2016. I have been having issues with outlook 2016, it keep asking for my credentials and I can't seem to be able to find any solutions so a friend recommended Thunderbird to me. I'm trying it and so far my emails are synchronized but not my calendar nor my address book. I cant seem to find where Thunderbird can sync with those two. I do not want to import into the app but sync like my iPhone is doing so if I enter an event in any of them it will show up in the other one. Pretty simple but I can not find this in the Thunderbird desktop app.

See our help article - Modern Authentication Methods now needed to continue syncing Outlook Email in non-Microsoft email apps. However, you may need to contact the creators of those applications to provide you with instructions. In many cases, simply removing and re-adding your account with the latest version of that application will configure it to use modern authentication methods.

I came to Thunderbird because I have been using an email server - btinternet - for many years and it has become clogged with a backlog of emails many of which were not opened and remain so. I would like to retain my email address, John.romm@btinternet.com, it is a vitally important one for my work. But I would ike to use and manage it Thunderbird which is already working well for me. However, it is important to do both of two things. First, I need to bulk delete all unopened emails - some 160,000 of them. And second, I would like to construct filters to keep a wide range of incoming emails out of my inbox. Please help!

The (preinstalled) default value is "AW,Aw,aw". But when I reply to a message whose subject line begins with "AW:", Thunderbird prepends it with "Re:", so that after a few back and forths we have silly subjects like "Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: AW: .............. ".

I recently created a new profile, changing from POP3 to IMAP in order to meet the new Microsoft security requirements. All went well until I went to change my address book backup copy routine to access my address book in the new profile.. I cannot find any .MAB nor .SQLITE files anywhere! My address book is out there somewhere, as I can bring it up in Thunderbird, but I cannot find the actual file. What's going on?
