I can't figure out how to customize the collections. I want to be able to organize my collections alphabetically, make sub-collections under a parent collection (like one can do in Gmail, for example), it would also be helpful have the option to choose the color of the main/parent collections, and to be able to search within the collections using a keyword in a search box.

With all of these customizable options, I could create a better, more efficient organizational system that would REALLY help to keep & identify collections quicker & easier.

I have had to make dozens & dozens of collections due to the inability to file sub-collections under main/parent collections.

As a result, a frustratingly unnecessary amount of time & effort is spent trying to remember when & where (throughout my ENTIRE history of having Firefox/using collections) a particular collection is located.

I then ALSO have to spend an unnecessary & frustrating amount of time searching within the collection just to locate a particular link as there is no search bar within the individual collection (or from all of the collections, umm... collectively) to facilitate a search.

Once I eventually find the 1. Collection I'm looking for, and then eventually find the 2. Link I'm looking for.. I can click on the link, and I'm directed to the page I saved, but here's the bonus:

When I hit the back button, I'm taken to the page I was on, previous to the page I saved. This is SUPER helpful when I come back to something I've been researching as it helps me to reconnect to the line of thinking I had during the time of research. This helps to eliminate the need to keep such a detailed journal of the thought processes behind each area of research to expand upon or revisit.

So thank you for that!! Also, please don't mess with it? I'm only needing help with the items mentioned at the beginning of this message.

In Android 14 oneUI 6.0 i have an issue while i download, the progress of download doesn't show up, i have checked everything but only the Firefox notification of private search shows up, plus when it is downloading the file i have problems when browsing, like when i use the keyboard The keyboard automatically closes and doesn't allows me to type I don't know if i explain myself clear enough

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. Firefox for iOS version 127.0 (42448) deletes tabs when app is closed. The option to keep tabs when the apps is closed has been removed from the privacy menu. So how can I configure the app to keep tabs between sessions?

The button in settings/privacy/close tabs automatically has disappeared in firefox for ios v 127. It appears that I no longer have the option to keep my private tabs open which is very inconvenient

When I opened my iPad all tabs saved in private browsing had disappeared. I keep them there not because they are particularly private but for ease of access. A note from Google said that it had changed my settings as they didn’t know if I was over 18. (I’m 75!) and I needed to sign in to Google. I always use Duck Duck Go as my search engine on my desktop and do NOT want to use Google if possible. Can you help. I’m really fed up/ angry about this intrusion. Sorry for explanatory ramble. From time to time firefox deletes suddenly all my tabs in normal as in private browsing. Also few years ago I could turn off the „close private tabs“ option in setting, but since firefox cleared off everything (again), that option ain‘t available anymore. Someone pls help.

I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

I'm on Firefox 127.0 (42448) ios and all my private tabs were closed on update and now whenever I make a private tab it disappears after the app is closed or refreshes. It's kind of behaving like the setting where private tabs are closed automatically but when I looked in the privacy settings of firefox ios it's not there anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I know theres an existing problem with tabs for firefox but I don't think this is exactly the same because my normal tabs are totally fine.

Why would your team release a version that closes all tabs in private browser mode? Why would you not list this in your release notes? I only browse in Private mode and prefer to leave tabs open there. Please return the feature or give the user the option to close all tabs on exit

I usuallg keep a few tabs open in private browsing but now it seems they’re closing automatically when I come back from regular browsing. The settings/privacy/close private tabs doesn’t seem to exist in the setttings any longer. Did it move? Am I missing something? Reopening private tabs again and again sort of may push me out of Firefox on iOS altogether.

Firefox will close my private browsing tabs after inactive for a couple hours. I do not see any setting section for controlling when Firefox closes or doesn’t close private browsing tabs. Just started happening bout a day or 2 ago.

I’ve updated to IOS Firefox version 127.0 I lost a good chunk of tabs in the private browsing section after this update removed the ability to leave private browsing tabs open after exiting the app. Scrolling down to the privacy section of the settings for my application showed me that the button/prompt for that setting was removed outright. If this was an intentional decision, it should have been noted in the update/change logs in preview of the IOS app store. I don’t agree personally with this change, but it happened regardless.

I need to export passwords from Android Firefox. I know this functionality exists in the desktop version, but I do not have access to a desktop. I cannot find the same function in the Android version.

I keep running into this bug where, on the odd occasion I am trying to download a file and the download occurs slow sometimes from the server's end, I might start a download of the same file twice. Then when one finishes downloading, if I press cancel on the ongoing download, it deletes the other downloaded file from my storage. This probably happens because the files are named the exact same but cancelling a downloading file should not delete an already downloaded, different file.

I was using foxfilter extension on spin browser in android and spin uses Firefox at it's core . The extension used to work well until some point in the past and suddenly it stopped working . I reached out to foxfilter support and they told Firefox stopped supporting some extensions on Android and thus the issue . Is there anyway you could start supporting foxfilter on firefox Android or can i use an olderversion of firefox on Android to get foxfilter working . If so could you guide me how to get that version installed ?

I own an S23 and I'd like to know if there's a way to make the browser suggestions fit on the screen. I've added two images to help explain what's going on. The first image shows Firefox, where the suggestion doesn't fit on the screen, whereas on Brave, if the suggestion is too long, it adjusts to the space. Thanks.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to suggest a feature that I believe would enhance user experience: the option to use custom wallpapers or backgrounds in Firefox. Having the ability to personalize the browser with custom images would make it more appealing and engaging for users. Could you consider implementing this feature in a future update?
