In other browsers, I can open a Facebook page to view information. I didn't use the Facebook app, not do I have an account. I just access contact information.

I tried Firefox settings to never open links in apps or ask first. That didn't change anything.

How can I access or view a Facebook app in Firefox Mobile for Android beta?

I want to use Firefox, but other browsers will allow me to open Facebook pages to see the information I need.

When I go to home button or search bar to visit a new web site it opens on a new tab instead of the current tab. I'd like to have the option to open it on the current tab, and dont go back to close the older tab everytime. Perhaps I coulnt find it in settings. Thank you

I use ClassicPress (fork of WordPress) and I have a problem when requesting a password reset link for it.

When opening the email received to reset password in the firefox dev edition browser and click the reset link I receive an error stating that the link is invalid.

I discovered by trial and error that copying the same link and pasting it manually in a new tab of the same firefox dev edition browser solves the issue because then the link is recognised as valid.

This happened after the update I received last week.

I am a linux mint user if that helps in tracking down the issue.

I had this error for a long time. But it's not too serious. Just hit ok and I can use all the recovery tabs as before without any problems. But every time I open windows and open the browser, this message appears. I feel very uncomfortable and tired without knowing why. Even reinstalling the browser didn't fix the problem, I tried it before and lost my favorite browser theme. And 1 more thing if someone can explain. If it can't read the configuration file, how can I still use the browser? What does that configuration file do?

This message only appears when I have not opened the Firefox browser on my computer. If I already have the tab, I can open another firefox browser without that message appearing. Only when I close all tabs. Open it again and it will appear. And click ok to use normally.

I am experiencing an issue where the Firefox browser on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device running the HyperOS Android 14 operating system is consuming a very high amount of system resources, particularly CPU and RAM. This is causing my device to heat up significantly and draining the battery life at a faster rate.The specific problems I'm facing are: 1.Firefox requires special permissions and settings to function properly on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device with HyperOS, such as exempting it from battery restrictions or granting it "autostart" permissions. Without these settings, the app crashes or doesn't work correctly. 2.However, when I grant these special permissions to Firefox, the app then starts consuming an excessive amount of CPU and RAM resources, much more than my other browsers like Chrome or Brave. 3.According to the system monitor, the Firefox processes are consuming the following resources: RAM 372M, CPU 39.0% Process "org.mozilla.firefox:tab12" RAM 742M , CPU 20.0% Process "org.mozilla.firefox" 4.This high resource consumption by Firefox leads to my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device overheating and the battery draining faster, negatively impacting the overall user experience. I have tried various troubleshooting steps, such as clearing the app's cache and data, using a lighter version of Firefox, and checking for updates, but the issue persists. I have struggled off an on for about a year since getting an M-series Mac with Firefox and memory load. This is an issue that I did not struggle with with the same RAM-Specc'd Intel alternative. I have received multiple out of memory errors the longer Firefox would run. I have done full clean installs of my machine (not restoring anything from backup) and gone so far as to up replacing the machine (though not for this specific issue only) that had double the RAM (32GB vs 16GB). I haven't yet begun to receive out of memory errors on this new machine, but I see the day coming.

I believe this is directly related to the number of tabs open, like they must not go to sleep. My concern is that with firefox running, over time (like a day or two) Firefox ends up consuming a little more than 10GB of RAM (peak observed so far). Quitting and reopening Firefox brings me down to 2.5-3 on the same tab count for a couple days.

My addons are all up to date, and I only have two (Firefox Multi-Account Containers, and NordPass for password management). I've removed Nord for troubleshooting purposes with no effect. I have changed to various versions and variations of firefox (meaning beta versions and the developer variation of the browser).

I have also used another browser entirely (MS Edge) for an extended amount of time with basically the same environment open. For comparison, same tabs, same amount of time open Edge uses 3GB RAM and upon restart jumps to 5GG Ram but settles back down to 3.

I am wanting to stay with Firefox. It's multi-container setup is the best there is (that I know of). I hate the idea of moving to another browser.

steps taken: Computer has been reinstalled multiple times Computer has been replaced (move from 16GB to 36GB) Browser reinstalled with various versions and variations. Add-ons have been updated and also removed.

Reference Intel Macbook with 16GB RAM in my workflow did not have this issue a single time over many years.

I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

For months now I can't cut and paste if I use Firefox. I am not remotely interested is uninstalling a heap of adds in a vain attempt to fix the issue. I can use Google chrome and Wonderfox which don't suffer this issue. I fail to understand why Firefox is alone in this problem. I would switch to Wonderfox as a default but it only works on SSL sites. Please stop ignoring this issue and fix it. Running Windows 11 fully updated on an AMD cpu.

Proposed solution:

Reduce to absolute minimum the spawn child processess. The value should be set according to the device performance and additionally show allow the user to set manually the limits.
